Loved my experience here after a long day of hiking up the mountain. Service was fast and although I didn't order a main entree, the options for the appetizers were light and refreshing. Space was clean and the view was even better. Definitely coming back if I ever find myself in Zurich again! Side note: The pumpkin soup is a must, great if you need something warm to liven you up!

We happened upon it just by looking up restaurants close to our hotel and it wound up being our favorite place we ate in our whole 10 days in Switzerland! The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. When you walk up, there are tables and chairs throughout the walkway and then an entire open area of tables off of the outside bar for a fun hangout. The building appears to be an old house turned restaurant and is so beautiful on the outside and so warm and inviting on the inside. The menu had accommodations for everyone - which is so nice as I am a lactose intolerant pescatarian! I got the beetroot and black bean burger both nights I was there and it was to die for!! I ate the entire thing both nights and just wanted more (it was a big burger though)!! I also had a watermelon spritz which was so refreshing! You can tell the owners/workers get to know their regulars as I saw them stopping by tables and chatting - which was just so fun to see! If you're in Zurich, I highly recommend popping by! My only regret was that I never saved room for the brownie dessert!

The buffalo wings were tasty and quite spicy, so if you don't enjoy a higher spice level... this wouldn't be for you. If you're looking for a phenomenal Sushi/dining experience, look no further. From the atmosphere,…read morethe decor, the staff (and by extension the service), to most importantly the food, everything here is top quality. Traditionally, people tend to stick to what they know when it comes to Japanese cuisine/Sushi restaurant. It took us a long time to choose what to have because there's so many fantastic things on the menu, but our waiter, Equiel, helped us tremendously. Equiel was exceptionally knowledgeable of the menu, had a great personality, and was wonderful in his attention to us. Thank you Equiel! Ultimately we had what amounted to between a quarter to half of the menu and shared between us as a group, and this really gave us the opportunity to try out everything. Make no mistake, everything is fantastic here. You can't go wrong with anything. One piece of advice, stay away from the soy sauce at first. Not because it's bad, but because you simply don't need it. The food here is made in an incredibly flavorful manner where nothing more needs to be added to it. Truly not something you see very often in Sushi restaurants. One primary reason for this, is because most pieces come with Soy Sauce Pearls on them, delivering a perfect balance. At the end of the day this place is not cheap, but in the context of Zurich, it's not crazy expensive either, and far more importantly, it's well worth it, and I'd be happy to come here and the other locations of Kai Sushi many times more in the future. Thank you Kai sushi for a wonderful dinner and I hope to visit again soon! Things to try: Kingfish Ceviche, Hot Cheese Roll, Pulled Salmon Salad, Gyuniku Gyoza, Spider Roll, and naturally, sashimi to your hearts content.

Love, love, love the Raclette Factory…read more Really wanted to have another Raclette experience while in Switzerland. The first was in Lucerne and we loved it! Walked to the Raclette Factory from our hotel. Sat at a community table with a family from Argentina. They were so sweet. Their eleven year old was so animated and his parents were the sweetest. Fun to talk to them about travel, our mutual love of rollercoasters and science and the recent World Cup. The son loves Yasmine Lamal. The dad is Team Messi. Our waiter, Flavio, made the evening our best choice. We really wanted to try a lot of different cheese flavors and combinations, so we had the Raclette All You Can Eat. Choose a couple of cheeses. Plain. Smoke. Garlic. Chili. White Wine. Red Wine. Blue cheese. Goat. Sheep. Truffle. Add toppings. It comes with pickles and pearl onions. Pickles and melted Raclette cheese. Unbelievably delicious. Add more toppings. Small potatoes, bread or mashed potatoes. So good! Started with the truffle and the red wine with the works, potatoes, mashed potatoes and cubes of bread. The truffle was my favorite of the cheeses and both the mashed potatoes and small potatoes were delicious. I think at the end we tried all of the cheeses but the original. We were stuffed!! Thank you to Flavio who really made our experience at the Raclette Factory a highlight of our visit to Zurich. Service was amazing and he gave us great recommendations. Definitely a night to remember.

Raclette is a dish of melted cheese over potatoes or bread. Which is very good, just extremely rich! I'm from Wisconsin, so I'm all about cheese, but this was a lot! The prices are very high for what you are actually eating, and we almost order the 'all you can eat" option, because it seemed like a good deal. So glad we didn't, because I would have had a tough time trying to eat another pile of melted cheese! We did order the "world best" garlic bread, which was good, but only average... not the world's best!

The inside is beautifully lit from large windows surrounding the dining area, and the people working here are very polite and friendly. I had a salad with vegetarian crepes. The salads from Swiss restaurants are always so fun. They've usually got sweet little helpings of beets, carrots, sauerkraut, and multiple other things hidden under a comfy bed of lettuce. Yeah, I just called it comfy lettuce... lettuce can be comfy in super nice restaurants. Anyway, I thought the vegetarian crepes would be light, but boy was I wrong. The two crepes had a fluffy and amazing texture, and were packed full of mushrooms and other vegetables covered in a savory, heavy cream sauce. They were absolutely delicious, but perhaps a bit too heavy for me. My boyfriend ordered the Zürigschnetzletes (a typical dish from Zurich, with beef in a savory brown sauce accompanied by a potato side similar to hash browns). Again, it was delicious and super heavy. The portion is also quite unbelievable... it could have easily fed two people. This is something I will continue not to understand, because I'm pretty sure it's rude to share one entree with two people, and you're also not allowed to take it home. And there are fewer fat people in Switzerland than there are in the states... so I doubt everyone is finishing their meal. And then it's thrown away... what? So anyway, I'm done with my rant. The food was delicious and the waitstaff was very friendly. I had a wonderful time.
