I'm so glad I did let's just start with the cleanliness of this place I give the sanitation 5/5 , it's Not the biggest gym in the triad but In my opinion it's the most TOP QUALITY over quantity they have all the right machines & equipment for any athlete whether Bodybuilding, Foot ball player or just anyone wanting to live a healthier lifestyle. Let's tap into the Wait time for equipment I stopped in around 9:40 and there was absolutely no wait on equipment and it wasn't over Crowded. I can honestly say this place made me feel like a pro bodybuilder while I was training but I probably look like SpongeBob this is a place for anyone that means business and are serious about their fitness goals hands down ! But no seriously if you haven't checked this gym out please go visit them the owner Ron is super cool , helpful and he will even apply your day pass to your membership, I'll definitely be coming back with my wife and daughter as I'm trying to convince both of them to take on a healthier lifestyle and I believe phenom fitness will be a great place for them to start free of gym judgement . 10/10 the best gym in Winston Salem !

Do wish they had a pool but the sauna is option is nice. I think they offer childcare as well. And as their membership grows, looks like they'll hosting more events which is a big draw for me. I did the 21 day free trial and was extremely close to signing up fully, but I have a gym in my complex with similar equipment. However, places like O2 (Lifetime, Equinox etc) are much more than a gym, they are an ~experience~ I don't think most people go solely to work out or train, they go for the elevated service/treatment, community, motivation from/of being around others etc. And you definitely get that here at O2. Pricewise is what you would expect from a facility of this caliber, but their prepaid packages do get you some decent savings. The operations staff is nice and friendly - sales people can be a bit aggressive but that's to be expected. Overall, I'd recommend this as a first choice to anyone who does not have a home gym or something readily available in their complex. Can't beat the location either - perfect for working out and running errands before or after.

Pay at the front desk to watch a tournament, rent a court, join a team, or sign up for a cardio fitness membership. The courts are well kept. Basketball hoops can be pulled up to the ceiling. Curtains are used as needed to separate courts and dampen sound. Bathrooms are large and stocked. Toilets are often not flushed. As a result, they would benefit from automatic flushing systems. What I liked most about this facility is the space and volume. The ceilings are high and the facility is spacious. Therefore, sound from cheering fans, yelling coaches, and referee whistling dissipates so you can still hear the announcers and communicate with the people beside you. A cafe is located in the front that offers a variety of brunch foods, beverages, and smoothies. Free WiFi is available inside the complex. The name and password is displayed at the front desk. Note that chairs are not allowed to be brought in for tournaments. They do have benches and 3-tier bleachers on the courts. There is additional seating by the cafe. Overall, a nice and accessible indoor sports complex.

Somehow I never managed to review this before this year when everything went crazy in the world…read more Admittedly gyms have been hit harder than many businesses, especially in areas where they have been locked down longer like NC. But now that it's back open I felt it necessary to review the gym and in particular it's handling of Covid-19. It's been almost a month now since it reopened. Looking at how everything is taken care of week to week seems to have really fallen into a steady flow. Lots of hand sanitizer stations with changes now to make most of them all hands-free. The addition now of spray bottles with equipment sanitizer are on tables around. Besides that the staff comes around with a pump sprayer of sanitizer periodically spraying everything down. Beyond that the big changes include a change to let the app go completely contactless where you can just sign in as you walk and they see it on a computer. A change that will be appreciated even after covid. No more waiting behind people to check in if you happen to get in at a bad time. Also we do have a lot of closings due to what should be the limited capacity. As you can see from my photos most of the lockers are closed down with only a handful allowed to be used. The same is said with pretty much every other piece of equipment. That allows for adequate social distancing. Unfortunately the showers and sauna are both closed. The sauna in particular is a sad thing for me since I adore using it. hopefully soon they will figure out how to open that, since in truth the sauna is one of the safest places if we just limit how many people can be in. Especially if the sauna is kept on and fully hot as opposed to in its warming stage. It would be actually be better for people's health and immunity. But unfortunately I do understand why regulations make it difficult right now. Overall I would say the gym is handling this about as well as they could. There are still plenty of facilities available and the space in here has always been a very useful but in times like this is particularly helpful to have a little bit more open air.

Written by someone who used this once as a casual drop in while in town…read more The good: A drop in fee of $5 is pretty hard to beat, big plus there. This gym has a wide range of old school bodybuilding style equipment and has pretty much everything you need. If you are looking for powerlifting-style training equipment, this might not be the best option (for deadlifts) but there is a squat rack and 2-3 benches so you can make do. The bathroom was super clean. Kinda surprising for a gym TBH. They also keep a supply of towels there which is convenient. The slightly inconveniencing: If you are looking for a platform, nada. However the gym does have bars and trap bars, so you'll have what you need to do deadlifts. However all of the plates are steel plates, I could only see a pair of 10lb bumper plates. I just don't feel at liberty to drop things in other people's facilities when I don't have a platform, out of respect for the floor. Also, it's kinda crammed. There is a lot of gear in a small space. This wasn't a problem when I was there because there was only one other person training there, but it could get very crowded with 10 or more people in the space. The not so good: The weights are everywhere. People don't put things away and if they do, plates are mixed up everywhere. Bars are left loaded with 275lbs just sitting there like a zombie apocalypse hit and everyone had to get out. The place was not attended when I was there (and might not ever be attended - go to the tanning salon next door if you're not a member and want to pay/get in) so I dare say nobody walks around to pick things up.

After a few bone breaks, my doctor recommended strengthening the muscle that protects the bone to prevent further damage. To make the process more efficient, he also recommended that I find a trainer who could review my needs, take into account my limitations and develop a program for someone my age that would achieve the desired results. I researched various gyms in the area - most provide the 'do it yourself' approach. When I found Sage Strength and checked out the reviews, I completed their online form and a discussion was scheduled. They heard me out, considered my situation and developed a program that did not use machinery but rather relied on my own body weight plus, dumbbells, kettlebells and resistance bands. It works. While the workouts are challenging (as they should be), taking the necessary recovery time between sessions really works. I can feel myself getting stronger and more confident. The Sage Strength team of trainers and coaches never disappoints. Each member is extremely professional and knowledgeable - quick to point out a correction in approach or, to offer an alternative if my limitations mandate it. They are kind, respective, encouraging and willing to help in your quest. For honest, solid, real-world training, Sage Strength is the place to go. I highly recommend them.
