Also, when my debit card was stolen, I had a new one in-hand two days later, without even entering a branch to report the theft, activate the card, or set up my pin. One of the reasons I use Uwharrie Bank is their commitment to the community. The bank is always sponsoring events and supporting local initiatives--support local so your money stays local!! Uwharrie Bank is a North Carolina Bank, and it only has one location in Concord, which obviously gets frustrating when you are across town. Additionally, the location is not open on Saturdays (although they have extended Friday hours which is helpful). None of this is surprising for a local bank, but it is the reason why I gave Uwharrie Bank four stars.

New name is Truist and that is true for all BB&T and Suntrust locations. We have been BB&T Customers since 1995. The Huntersville location has always been our home location although this branch was closest to where we lived and we were in there frequently. It never closed when the acquisition occurred and the only change was the changing of the sign on the door. Personal remained the same and services remained excellent. My wife and I went through the drive through about 2 hours ago. Same service and friendly atmosphere. One thing about this location, the one in Huntersville and the one in Denver is that if the Dog is in the car, chances out they are going to get a treat. Needless to say, Watson the Corgi left with a nice Dog Biscuit to munch on as we drove home. Made his day.

Well, you know that warm and fuzzy feeling you get at those branches? It doesn't appear in Locust. The lobby in Locust is closed and the drive thru is your only option. I was visiting my dad and needed to stop in this location for the first time. All I needed was a few straps of ones. The teller didn't really want me to have them. I had to prove that I have an account there, no problem. Then he wanted to know if I was going to use my bills at a business. I told him that it for my personal use. He had a douchey attitude. He brought a woman to the window to tell me that she wanted to save the bills to give out to businesses. I told her to just give me money back and I would roll along. She then gave me a few ones and the rest of my money back. I do have a business account with Uwharrie. I also have my checking account there. I have my home mortgage with them. Both of my children have accounts there. I know the other branches have better customer service. I will avoid this branch in the future.

I told her that I needed to exchange a lot of small bills for large bills. She told me she would do it if I called her from the parking lot when I arrived. That's what I did.
