Well, you know that warm and fuzzy feeling you get at those branches? It doesn't appear in Locust. The lobby in Locust is closed and the drive thru is your only option. I was visiting my dad and needed to stop in this location for the first time. All I needed was a few straps of ones. The teller didn't really want me to have them. I had to prove that I have an account there, no problem. Then he wanted to know if I was going to use my bills at a business. I told him that it for my personal use. He had a douchey attitude. He brought a woman to the window to tell me that she wanted to save the bills to give out to businesses. I told her to just give me money back and I would roll along. She then gave me a few ones and the rest of my money back. I do have a business account with Uwharrie. I also have my checking account there. I have my home mortgage with them. Both of my children have accounts there. I know the other branches have better customer service. I will avoid this branch in the future.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff who take care things instead of directing you to a website or toll free #. Even the online tech support is in NC. They also have a beautiful lobby that isn't slammed packed and a drive through. If you like 21st century technology but prefer 20th century style customer service from your bank, give Uwharrie a try.

She came back with 300.00 $1.00 dollar bills, no wonder they go thru so many employees
