Hilarious little place on the edge of Damme - it's right in town, but also across the street from a sheep meadow.
There was an old couple who ran it, and they were the whole show, they did EVERYTHING - took your order, cooked, expedited, etc. So of course, with our party of 10, nothing came out at the same time, which was fine because...
The back deck/patio is great on a sunny day. They appear to be a Leffe/Hoegarden shop, and you could do worse on draft.
There was a list of sandwiches that she kind of yelled at me for ordering, I guess they weren't available that time of month/day/year ... Otherwise it's pretty simple fare, pasta's and croques and omelettes ... the frites were perfect Belgian-style (though with heinz mayo packets, they tasted just fine to me).
And it wasn't too expensive, though cash only.
Also Damme is a really cute little town, it's worth biking from Bruges, even with little kids. read more
