The company came by back in September, and this was my second time using them over the years. They trimmed my trees and removed one. Their work was very detailed, and they cleaned up well afterward. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I ran into Alvaro by accident when I was trying to find another tree service closer to my area. Last week on a Saturday, I mistakenly sent a blast quote request to all tree servicers on Yelp, I received a lot of responses, and Alvaro was one of the 1st responders...almost immediately. There was a miscommunication (my fault), and he was at my home in 45 mins, but I was not home yet. He then left my home. He was there a good 15 minutes waiting for me. After getting home and sending him a quick text, he flipped around and came back to my house after 20 more minutes. Long story short, I know it can't be easy running a business and coordinating schedules, but having met someone like Alvaro, I know now, there are still great people out there who still care and committed to their work. He remained committed to his promise to meet me even after killing 1hr and 20 minutes driving back and forth (because of my Yelp mistakes), knowing it was only to discuss a quote, and that I had 2 others lined up that day. After receiving the 2nd servicer's quote, Alvaro was the best price given the work I needed. His price was fair and all-inclusive...and simple: - Cut 10 juniper trees - Grind 10 stumps We spoke Saturday, he texted me Monday, and he and his helper showed up Tuesday/Wednesday. I repeat HE himself showed up...with a crew of 2, did the work in TWO days. We were blessed to run into Alvaro...extremely ethical, hardworking, old-school respect, and SUPER committed to his craft. He had all the equipment on hand and handled the work with 0 issues. I wish I had more trees, so I can call him again HAHA...but for those needing tree help, you will not be disappointed. I hope the pictures speak for themselves. All this, in 2 days, with 2 people...these guys were hauling ass, but super efficient and no shortcuts. He even helped cut another small bush, grinded that stump, and hit a couple other protruding roots while he was at it.... So I had 10 trees cut, 10 stumps grinded, 1 bonus bush cut/grinded, and bonus exposed roots grinded. Sorry for the long post, but he deserves it. Alvaro did a great job on my palm tree-- they were the quickest to respond, kept me updated on timing, and were very fairly priced. They completed the job quickly and he even showed me how the last person to prune my tree used spiked boots, which is apparently the easiest way to climb a tree but can lead to termites and infecting the tree, whereas he hoisted himself up on a rope to avoid harming my tree. Guys came out and did a great job skinning and pruning my canary island palm. My tree was in a difficult spot on a slope overhanging my pool. I was expecting my pool to be wasted upon the completion but the guys took their time and worked extremely clean along the way, i barely had to do any pool cleaning. Great finished product. Highly recommended! The heavy winds damaged our 70 foot pine tree bringing down several small branches but we heard a random "cracking" noise and realized a huge branch halfway up was going to come down on the corner of our roof. V & A responded immediately and took it down while carefully maneuvering around the other branches. I just couldn't have asked for a better, or faster tree service!! This past Friday (the 13th no less), a large branch broke off our big tree in the front yard, and landed on top of my van!... I couldn't lift it off my vehicle, which is about 9 feet height, and the branch was too heavy. I called a couple tree services within closer proximity to my home that had good reviews on Yelp. Of course, being that it was already late in the afternoon, and on a Friday, few returned my calls. I finally came across V & A, and texted them... and Alvaro responded almost immediately! I was so relieved when he said he would come and take a look to give me an estimate; just as soon as he finished with the job he was on. He told me he could be here in 45 mins. and he actually was! He removed the branch from the top of my van, (which was very kind, as he hadn't even "gotten the job" yet!) I was very comfortable hiring him though, as I could tell he was a man of his word. He scheduled the rest of the tree trimming for the next morning, and was on time,(even a bit early), and he and his assistant went right to work. He was easy to communicate with and very knowledgeable, and also helpful in giving me information about my tree and another one which I asked him if he'd like to prune back as well. He responded that he would like to make the money, however, he felt that it was the wrong time of year to trim that particular type of tree.
