Terrible attitude and bad experience. We took lessons here for a little over a year. Twice we…read moreshowed up and were not on the schedule, even though we pre-paid and confirmed with the owner, Trish. I pre-paid for 6 lessons several times. Last week, Trish said she would let me know if they were having lessons today due to construction: Me: "With the construction going on, [my kid] would be very happy doing a trail next week if conditions permit. She loves them! And I'll wait to hear back from you about purchasing for June and July." When I never heard from her, I texted her 2 hours before the 10:00 lesson and let her know we could either go today or next week, if today was unavailable due to construction. Trish did not reply until 10:15, with a blatant lie: "No, I will always cancel. There is a Trail Ride today and Alexa is on the schedule. I will always message you to cancel." This women has never texted me or notified me of a cancellation. She essentially stole $85 from me and lost my business. Such a disappointment. Note that all of the 1-star reviews noted similar problems: being charged for lessons that don't take place due to poor communication, and a terrible attitude from the owner. (and so are the horses) Joy who runs the barn is a delightful person. The trails are endless and plenty of running spots on them. It is a hot area and this is August but there always seems to be a breeze. The stalls are large and covered from bearing down sun and rain and there is a cross breeze in the stalls. The lockers provided are huge and nicely located and Bathrooms are clean and big. Arenas - jumping and barrels and plenty of turn outs. The price is good, facility is clean and safe and I feel confident about the care of the horses. I used to have to supplement hay but here they are feeding a good amount. The people are friendly. I have been riding here since 1999, over 20 years. It is a low key, low drama facility. Back in the day they did riding lessons and trail rides, that is not the case in the last 15 years. Most boarders consist of recreational owners, riders, and a few jumpers. Overall the atmosphere is very laid back. Again, there are few amenities for boarders beyond basic such as personal tack rooms, feeding and cleaning. There are a few wash racks, arenas, round pens, and trail access. From time to time a trainer will move in and offer training and/or lessons. The only unusual thing about this barn is a lack of regular turn out. This seems to be a normal SoCal practice. Somehow the area forgot the basic need for horses to have room to move freely and interact a few hours a day. Any turn out is limited to 20 minutes due to the volume of horses on site, despite many areas of unused land. Overall, the place is affordable and has a family feel. It has been around for many years and I hope for many more to come.

My friend has many horses of her own he was falling through the cracks knots in his main and dirty. I immediately took to him every day 30miles one way to bond with him. Even my friend offered to bord him for free as kind as that is I felt my horse SUN-DANCE Wasnt happy. it was kind of a sad barn. I looked into other barns I felt having him closer would be best. I found Three oaks immediately. One tour with the owners was great. I moved my horse. With in 5 days being at this beautiful barn the help and other horse borders so helpful and nice . My horse lives up to his name he plays runs endlessly in the sun. I see such a different in my horse .boarding him free was a nice offer BUT not worth his health and happiness. Extremely Disappointed - Unprofessional, Unethical, and Unresponsive!…read more I'm writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with Nohl Ranch Saddle club; previously known as Anaheim Hills Saddle Club. After paying $2000 upfront, I was only there for two days before deciding to leave for another ranch due to the owner's rude, racist and unprofessional behavior. On my second day, the owner spoke to me in a disrespectful and condescending manner, making me feel entirely unwelcome. When I decided to leave, I requested my $2000 back, as I had barely utilized their services. Shockingly, they refused to issue a refund. Left with no other option, I took the matter to court. The judge ruled fully in my favor, yet despite the legal decision, they have failed to respond or return my money. This shows a blatant disregard for both their customers and the law. I strongly advise anyone considering this club to be aware of their unethical business practices. My experience has been deeply frustrating, from the poor treatment I received to the lack of accountability and professionalism in resolving the situation. Additionally, I did my research and found a large history of extremely horrendous behavior from the owners, management and staff. I posted in an Orange County Equestrian Facebook Forum and had an overwhelming 40+ individuals reach out with horrid stories from boarding here. Boarders beware! Avoid this place at all costs!
