I switched my tax adviser to Vilen because he was highly recommended by friends. Vilen has taken his time and educated me on the value of a corporation for my line of business ( Financial Adviser / Realtor ). There were times where I felt like I was asking the same question but he never lost his composure. He acted like a professional and understood this was not my area of specialty. I understand that being a good tax adviser comes with its cost. Sometimes you get incredibly busy and that could be frustrating from a client standpoint. However, even when I go to Starbucks, I'm always upset with the person in front of the line because they always seem to be going so slow. I'm constantly thinking "Please hurry up and get your drink- I have places to go and things to get done"!!! However, when I finally get up there and order my drink, I feel like it was worth the wait; otherwise, why would I go back. Just receive a request from an accountant to rent a house and got a company tax return as proof of income. Then I found out that tax return was prepared by this place, but the applicant (the accountant) cannot provide his tax return or W2 to prove that he is employed by this company. It seems like he could have used clients' tax return as his own to get financial gains. It looks really fishy. Stay away from this place. read more

If you want have problem with IRS you can go to V&K. Very unprofessional and lying service. 4 out of 5 people cleaning his mess. On income of $15000 he files $7500 as cash donation!!!! Promising to send a letter to IRS with explanation, but sending basic copies. He gave to my fiancee twice to send letter to IRS. IRS return the problem. On the third time when he said " I know what I am doing!" I decide it to open envelope to see what he is sending to IRS. Big BS he was sending! Same copies that IRS already have!!!! Read every sheet before signing the document he gives you. Make sure you are not given an itemized deduction if your situation does not warrant it. Look out for a sheet referencing that you are in sales. If you are not in the sales industry, have him correct it. Also, look for a line which indicates whether you contributed to a charity and how much. If you did not do so, and it's listed as you did, make sure you point that out and have it corrected. Contributions over a certain threshold require documentation. Look for a line which indicates how much you tax preparer charges you for filing services. If the numbers do not match what you pay him, point that out and have him fix it. If you are a returning student and already have a bachelor's, make sure what is on the form provided by your school matches the document he files. Make sure you read all of the details before you endorse the document allowing the preparer to file. If you do not, and there is a mistake, you are liable for returning any money that you shouldn't have received. Save yourself a headache and read every sheet. Tell your family and friends who go here. While he wants to make you happy and have you return the following year, you risk a warning letter and an audit. No zero stars accepted. Terrible, terrible, terrible. DO NOT have this person prepare your taxes. He files wrong papers and adds false numbers to your returns. I gave him my income and expense numbers for my tax returns, nothing on my return matches the numbers I gave him. He just enters whatever numbers he wants. I just had my past 3 years taxes amended (by someone else), because they were soooo wrong. Do not trust this guy, he knows nothing about taxes. They have the worst customer service ever. They are very rude and do not return phone calls. I made a big mistake going to him for my tax returns for the past 3 years. Don't make the mistake I did. Stay away from this office! This is the worst tax making company ever! I went about a week before taxes were due and he told me i have missing papers and didnt have any other appointment until after taxes were due. I asked him to get an extension and he told me i had to come back for that never heard this before! I go back to get an extension and surely enough he had said this to everyone and there was a line going outside his office to get an extension. Had to stand in line for 2 hours! Now I receive a letter from IRS saying I owe them $400 because of not filing on time. I called them 2 weeks ago and still have not heard back from him. My god, these negative reviews must be his competitors, I've personally heard other accountants complain about losing business to him so maybe they're writing these. The proof is in the numbers. I dare u to walk by his building, where there's at least two other accountants who have ZeRo clients, and not see a line out the door. I didn't have to be explained what each line was as I was referred to him by a good friend who said he does a good job and charges a fair rate! I trusted my buddy and I went. Yes it did take 6 weeks for me to get my refund but I still got it without any problems. If I could have given this company I wouldn't hesitate to. It is the absolute WORST tax service I've ever received. Villen, the owner of the company is extremely rude, illiterate, and unprofessional. He does not care about his clients, employees-nor about the reputation of his business. All he cares about is the amount of money that goes into his pocket at the end of the day. STORY TIME: My first day there I had an appointment at 8am and he decided to stroll in about an hour later than that. He had about 10 people in his waiting room who were angry, tired, and frustrated because they had been responsible enough to show up at the time they were appointed-whereas the owner was not. The secretary at the front desk was embarrassed and didn't know what lies to tell to the MANY people waiting to put them at ease just so we could wait a little longer for this scum bag to arrive. She admitted that he always shows up late to the office. I was so angry and hesitant to leave but I stayed a while longer just to see this guy so after an hour and 30 minutes late, and with 10 people in the waiting room..this guy shows up and has the audacity to tell the people that he was late because of his kid. Sure, that would have been easy to believe if your own secretary and other yelp reviewers hadn't complained about the same thing. When I finally did get to go in his office he literally took 2 minutes he didn't talk or explain much, there was no advising he just said sign here and rushed me out. That was the end of it. Six months later I was still waiting to hear from the IRS. Velan,who I think is the owner, kept telling me to wait. Your voucher will come. Finally contacted the Irs myself. They had no record of my taxes being filed. Now I've accrued penalties. Went back to the office now a 4th time. He writes a letter to the IRS to get them to reduce the penalties. He also wrote and signed a letter stating he would reimburse me for any penalties I had to pay. Well here it is time to file 2017 taxes and I still haven't received the check that has been in the mail for months. Now I'll have to make a 5th trip there to get the check in hand that will probably bounce. Worst service ever and they all lie. They never return a call either. Very unprofessional in terms of sending forms for taxes and opening a business. I called the secretary of state after Vilen's 'check' bounced about my corporation and got told that applications from V&K consistently were either missing documents, missing payment, or failed to comply with state guidelines. I lost money, time and had to apply again by myself because my corporation got cancelled and the application did not contain the proper payment. He is the worst taxman I've ever seen in my life. Customer service is horrible and the staff are incrediblly rude and uneducated like him. Here is my story why I would never go back and won't recommend any one to go as well. I made an appointment almost a month ago which the Vilen guy didn't show up. The resepsinists didn't even bother to call and let me know not to drive all the way there. I was told he would get there in half an hour which I went back home waiting for their call but no call received again. After more than an hour waiting,I ended up calling them which got me surprised one more time.Even though it was their mistake they wanted to rescedule me in 10 days,which made me so upset. After asking them for a fair appointment his front desk resepsinist started giving me attitude and hung up the phone on me. But after all the most unbelievable part is when the" Villen guy" called me back.
