this pharmacy was godsent to me! i just could not believe how professional and thorough they were…read more filling a controlled drug, alone is a challenge. my normal home pharmacy is cvs all the way in carrollwood where i reside. cvs did not have this particular medication in stock there, so i must of went to atleast 5 more cvs locations, each i was told they didn't have this in stock. my dr. even ok-ed it a week early because i am heading on a 3 week vacation. i called my insurance company to confirm they will cover a vacation supply, and they even confirmed it was ok. my main issue now, was finding a pharmacy that will fill it. there was no way i would be able to go on my trip if i didn't have my meds. i was beginning to panic and was riddled with anxiety. a small mom and pops pharmacist told me that places lie and say they don't have something in stock as an excuse to not fill. he said my issue was that my dr. was in pinellas and i lived in carrollwood/ tampa area, but i was in brandon. he said that the dea looks at those things. he said he would love to fill it but didn't want the red flag given that it is a narcotic and they are buckling down in florida with that epidemic we are battling on opiates and addiction and overdose. plus, i am trying to fill a week early for my vacation. plus, many pharmacies don't carry controlled drugs in stock, so they would have to order that and it takes 3 days or so. plus, another pharmacist mentioned that they would not fill just a pain medication prescription. i was like well, that is all i had to fill at this time. then another said if i transferred all my previous prescriptions from my home pharmacy over, they said atleast 7 presciptions, then they would fill it. when i was about to lose my mind, i said ok, fine, let's do that, let me write all of them down. then they changed their minds for some reason. they didn't expect me to actually have 7 ready to be filled. lol.... so, i had several factors against me. i remember bill's pharmacy helped me out before after a surgery. they were very quick and accommodating. i really didn't expect this time would be an easy feat. the lady said she would have them run it and let me know via phone call if they are able to fill it and that it will take about 15-30 minutes. i said ok, and waited in the car due to the other pandemic corona virus! i was in a state of disbelief and pure shock to get the call only 5 minutes later. i go inside prepared to get turned down, but instead it was actually filled and i was utterly speechless and very, very grateful!!!!! very quick, efficient, hospitable, happy, kind, the place always has good vibes! thank you bill! you never let me down. now, i am on my way to the beach for 3 weeks with family and you all made that possible!!!! thank you! #blessed

I'm so thankful I also told the Publix mgr (I think his name was cavenough or something similar) I told him how kind the pharmacist was and how appreciative we were for helping at the last moment and I started crying since I am just at my witt's end. The pharmacists are helpful and very caring about their patients. The wait time i quick in some cases less than 5 minutes. If they do not have an OTC drug available they will order it for you and will be their usually the next day depending on the time the order was placed. If you have refills, there are times that they have been filled before you arrive or call to have them filled. They explain your medication and spend the time needed with you. If you need your medication delivered they will deliver the medication most often the next day depending on when you call. This is what a pharmacy should be.

Review for Custom Scripts Pharmacy, Wesley Chapel - A Deeply Disappointing Experience…read moreI have been a customer of Custom Scripts for about a year, but after repeated negative experiences -- particularly with the owner and pharmacist, Jim -- I feel compelled to share what happened in hopes of warning others. Most recently, I had a serious issue with a compounded product that contained ingredients I'm allergic to. I had been very clear about my allergies in the past. After using the product, I became ill and it was the only change in my regimen. When I reached out to discuss it, Jim completely dismissed my concerns and instead implied that the issue was with me -- not the product. It was a classic case of gaslighting. Rather than taking accountability or showing empathy, he became defensive, arrogant, and patronizing. This is not the first time I've had issues with him -- in fact, this was the third. Each time, I've found him to be condescending and unwilling to listen. During our last conversation, he said he would follow up regarding the ingredients, but I never received a call back. What I did receive was an unauthorized charge on my credit card -- for a product I never agreed to move forward with and ultimately never even received. By that point, I had already made the decision to go with another compounding pharmacy. When I called to dispute the charge, Jim insisted I had approved it -- which is completely false. He refused to issue a refund, and was unapologetic and dismissive. He even arrogantly said, "Good luck -- I'm the owner, I can do what I want." No customer should be treated this way, especially when dealing with something as sensitive and personal as medication. Every body is different, and a responsible pharmacist should recognize that. Instead, Jim tried to compare my reaction to how his wife supposedly responded to the same product -- as if that were relevant or scientific. It's this kind of attitude that makes Custom Scripts a pharmacy I would strongly advise others to avoid. There are many other compounding pharmacies that are professional, compassionate, and respectful. I've since found one that treats me and my concerns seriously. I feel sorry for the employees at Custom Scripts who have to work under this kind of leadership. To anyone considering using this pharmacy: please think twice. You deserve a provider who listens, respects your medical history, and doesn't charge your card without consent.

They did offer to re-do my meds on a rush order but I would be charged till I brought in the meds that they mistakenly mailed, which, UPS failed to deliver to me. So, I was required to go to a UPS store, pick up the heat damaged meds, and return them to this pharmacy. I'm the customer, right? They should've just contacted UPS and dealt with them and left me out of it. I was going to pick them up, just to be nice, till I contacted the owner, Dan. I have a lot of health issues and I love having a pharmacist who really is aware of contraindications between my medications. I had a PA prescribe a prescription for me that was absolutely not to be taken by someone with my health issue and thank goodness Dr. Ghiya knew it and we were able to get a different medication. I definitely recommend supporting this small business, and help take better care of yourself in the meantime.
