Kathy did my nails.... Attepmted. Over all she tried, but was very rude about it. I had showed her a photo of a flower in Pinterest and she said okay I can do it. So nearing the time to do the design she tells me she can't she doesn't have the right brush. Meanwhile I now have a white nail... Just 1. Lol and I'm like well can i have some stripes then... Seemed simple. She said she couldn't do that. Another customer had come in and of course she said ill be right with you. 10 minutes later the nail lady told me. This is taking too long I'm going to lose my customer. Okay lady if you did a great job I would be a repeat customer... And you shouldn't have told the walk in customer just a min. You should have told her its a 20 to 30 min. Wait. So I ended up with a glitter nail that she was frustrated with me again for asking for 2 coats of glitter on my white nail. I was in emotional turmoil. I just left the gym to blow off some steam, but my 30 minute cardio workout could only bandage a small portion of my tender heart. I still needed some kind of outlet to help me through this rough moment. As I walked out of my favorite 24 Hour Fitness (in Gold River), I noticed a nail salon a few doors down. Perfect! A needed manicure and some pampering might make me feel better. There was only one other customer at the time, so a nail tech was available and ready to go. Friendly staff. Quiet. Non-descript atmosphere. Cleanliness was average. Manicure was $10. Not only do they always look perfect but they trim and moisturize your cuticles too while is basically unheard of when you get acrylics. IF I COULD RATE ZERO I WOULD!!! I came into this nail salon to get a full set and a pedicure. The pedicure was going decently until about half way through, but I will get to that later. However I was frustrated to find out when I got home that my feet looked more crusty than they did before i got them done. The lady who did my nails was horrible on multiple levels. After I told her several times the gel powder color was too dark she kept going then after I told her to file it off and do a lighter color she started making rude comments and being disrespectful to me, the person paying for her time and business, a person who simply wants her nails to look good. I then told her if she's going to keep being rude I will get up and walk out. While she was filing it off she kept turning the file up to high and was burning the SHIT OUT OF MY FINGERS ! This place has horrible customer service and on top of that my nails looked like straight trash I has to go home and file the shape better and they still looked bad I had to go to a waaaay better shop to get my nails fixed. I will never return to this shop. And I recommend you don't go here for the sake of your sanity and your fingers. If you get acrylic on your toes they will burn your toes too, I got acrylic on my big toes & she burnt my left toe hella bad it was numb for 20 min !!! She also didn't shape it well at all & it was clumpy around the cuticle & sides. Take my advice go somewhere else read more

Likely the worst set I've ever received.. uneven surface on my acrylic, nail polish chipped, and I got TWO ingrown nails due to the tech trimming too fair. I've never had an ingrown fingernail.. my fingers literally were hurting for a week. A coupe stars for the message chair and the decent customer service. I've always used Lechi and have never had any issues. She always does the design I ask for, stops to ask what I think, and caters to my pickiness. This place is right next to Sally's Beauty Supply in the 24 Hour Fitness Sport shopping center. I've been here a few times and they are usually ok, but today was pretty bad. We wanted two pedicures and were seated right away. The pedicure spa chairs seemed new (all of them were matching) and the water was hot. Once we were seated, however, we were ignored while other manicure clients were served. We were celebrating the end of school and graduation, so we didn't mind the wait. Everything went south when we refused some upgrade treatments and not only my friend's nail tech, but also the guy who was doing my toes chimed in to try to "sell" the upgrade. "No" means "no"! After that, we are pretty sure that they were talking about us in their language. Just because we don't know what you're saying, doesn't mean we don't understand your intonation and facial expressions. Rude! We also weren't happy with our $5 flower detailing. You just expect a little bit more for $5...and VIP Nails wasn't bringing their A game. I probably won't go here again. For $30 ($27 for pedicure + flower & $3 tip for a "meh" job and gossipy nail technicians), I expect a little bit more. read more

Starting with some background information: I used to be a regular here when I had acrylic nails, coming every 2 weeks for a fill. They always did a beautiful job and I was happy. But on 2 separate occasions, I had made an appointment to come in, showed up on time, and saw that they had just started doing someone else's nails. Me: "Um, I have an appointment right now.." Them: "Oh, can you come back in 30 minutes?" Me (clearly frustrated): "Uh, I guess I can run another errand and come back." Accidents happen, so I wasn't going to hold it against them forever. But just a few weeks later, it happened again! I flat out asked them, "What was the point of making an appointment?? I did it because I'm really busy and don't have time to wait." They apologized, but again asked if I could come back in 30. I said that I couldn't, walked out, and went somewhere else. That was about a year ago, and I have since switched over to gel manicures. I go somewhere else now, but because VIP is closer to my house, I stopped in the other day to see if they could just remove my gel nails for me; I didn't need another manicure or anything else--just the removal. I figured that if they didn't have time for me, they would tell me so and that would be ok because it's not like I had an appointment or anything. It looked like all the technicians were busy, but they said "Sure, just have a seat for a minute." I guessed that meant someone was about to finish up and would be right over to help me. Well ten minutes go by and as I look around at all the technicians, nobody appears even close to being done. Nobody looks up at me, nobody says "It'll just be one more minute," nothing. I finally got up and said "Y'know, I've got to get going. I have a lot to do today." For some reason they all looked shocked, and then one of them said "Wait, she can take you right now" referring to someone who was performing a pedicure. Oh, now all of a sudden you can do it when you're about to lose money?? "No," I said, "I'm not going to take her away from someone's pedicure" (about which the pedicure customer looked relieved, and I don't blame her). I further explained that I thought this would be a quick procedure and that if they didn't have time, it was fine, I just wished they would've been honest and said so. The moral of the story is that they obviously don't value my time, and I will never be back. If you have all the time in the world and can get your nails done on their time, then sure, they're great. If you have a life, like I do, go somewhere else. read more

This place is all smoke and mirrors this is LITERALLY the first review I've ever posted but just felt the need since the average person will be easily fooled walking into the place. They never book their appointments correctly so you're always waiting and the prices are horrendous. I mean I have been a couple times simply because of the ambiance and the fact that they serve champagne and other free miscellaneous beverages. They even have free cookies and treats so needless to say it seems a bit elegant. I will also add that they do have an extensive selection compared to most nail shops in the area, HOWEVER the quality of work is atrocious and the product is either old or just poor quality so your nails never last more than a week at most last time I went I paid over $80 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and my a couple fingers had polish completely peeled off and I was 9 months pregnant due for my c section the next day. Upon going in and showing them their shoddy work they made me wait almost an hour and proceeded to try and charge me for an extra service. They have a real cute Hello Kitty girl's pedicure chair if you have a daughter and so I went in a second time after that and got white toes that looked like a kindergarten student had painted them. Nice local nail soon who does a pretty good job. I have been here three times now for a pink and white set. I went in this evening to see my favorite manicurist there, Thuba. She is an incredibly sweet and thoughtful woman! That isn't aleays easy to find in your average nail shop, so it's a breath of fresh air. I had a 6:30 appointment, although I knew I wouldn't be taken back on time. I did wait for about 20 minutes while another customer was finishing up, but Thuba made sure to apologize for the wait several times during my visit. She really took her time with me, and my nails looks great. I would recommend her (as well as the other Vietnamese lady with the hip red hair [I never learned her name]). Recently moved to the area and made a little survey of prices for pedicures. I wanted to have a vibrating machine and VIP was a few dollars less than others. Basic pedicure is $22. Very really reasonable prices ($22 for basic pedi and $5 extra for spa pedicure with scrubs and hot stones), and nice OPI nail polishes. The ladies are very friendly and accommodating inside the shop and are so attentive to details. Cathy gave me a great foot and leg massage for my pedicure and a reflexology massage during my manicure. Plus, it was nice and quiet and they accept walk ins. I will definitely be back. read more

I should have posted something 4 years ago when I got a pedicure here. Whatever they used for a flower painted on my nail, ended up eating through my nail into the nail bed. Went to the doctor and was told that it wasn't a fungus. It took over 3 years for my nail and nail bed to heal back to normal. I never went back and scared to get a pedicure to this day. read more

I live in the neighborhood and used this nail salon for many years. It used to be great in the beginning until their popularity grew. Now the nail techs are rude, push services,and speaking in their language all the time. Although I do not understand what they say, it is obvious by the snickering and eye jestering that it is not nice what they were saying about me to an Asian customer. It was the last straw when this older Asian man was having a pedicure on his yellow feet when their discussion resulted in a scowl on his face before I removed my shoes. He had yellow toes and a gloved attendant working on him. I have never gone back. They are rude, pushy, and unprofessional. read more
