Called and they said they did tailoring/alterations for suits and blazers. When I got there they had me put in the blazer and they talked in another language back and forth only to tell me 15 minutes later that they couldn't do the alteration on the blazer (which needed only a minor adjustment) and they do not do tailoring or alterations for suits and blazers...... so I had to go somewhere else that did the small alteration with no hassle. I did drop off my cleaning there and to only compound my frustration, when I came to pick up my cleaning they decided to notify me they didn't have one of my shirts and that it was my fault due to I counted incorrectly (though they counted it as well and came up with the same number) when I dropped my cleaning off but it wasn't their fault that both of us counted the same number and now I was one shirt short..... and they offered no compensation for a lost dress shirt blaming me the customer....... and it was a nice dress shirt that they lost. We have been coming here for a while now. They never were very friendly or talktive but a great location to our home. Over the last 7m my husband told him his dress shirts were not getting clean, the calor looked dingey repeatedly. I keep going due to convince. My husband went back spoke to them and said we would like the shirts recleaned and if he can not let us know we will go else where.. he wears very good quality shirts, Ralph Lauren, Zenga, etc .We bring at least 20 shirts in a month. Plus other items.. My husband said he said no problem..he said he was smug but he left them hoping he would try to keep us a customers. When he returned the shirts looked like someone took a cheap scrub brush to them!!! Not clean either. Then he wanted to recharge us! He treating us like we bothered him. We said we bring lots of buissnes to him.. he looked at us said nothing. With all the brick and mortar closing, you would expect small business owners to appreciate there customers. This dry cleaner is the best in Vacaville. One Saturday, I forgot my work uniforms and they are closed on Sunday's. The owner called me from his cell phone and reminded me prior to closing, but I could not make it in time to pick them up due to being out of town. The owner said he would open up his shop the next day on Sunday (even though the business is closed) to give me my uniforms. How awesome is that! I will now take all my dry cleaning to him. We have been loyal customers here for over two years, and in that time have spent hundreds of dollars on dry cleaning bills. That will be coming to an end as of today. It appears new management has moved-in, and they are very rude and inappropriate. Today my wife went in to pick-up a shirt that was dropped off a week ago, and the bill was ~$3. Like always, my wife pulled out her debit card to pay, and the person at the register rolls his eyes at her and states something like, "don't you even have $3 cash to pay for this"...totally embarrassing and humiliating her. I have been meaning to write a review for this place due to the following experience I had a few weeks ago. When I went in to pick up my dry cleaning there was a domestic dispute out in front of a next door business. A man seemed very mad at a woman and it was honestly questionable if it was going to turn violent or not. The gentleman working at Vacaville Cleaners walked my dry-cleaning out to my car that day. We moved to browns valley area about 7 years ago, Vacaville cleaners was the obvious place to take our dry cleaning. The owner has been great from day one. On my last visit, I was picking up a pair of pants that I would be needing the next day but I'd forgot that I needed them to be hemmed up about an inch or so. It was around 2:30-3pm on a Saturday, I asked him if he could do that for me and if possible have it ready by 8am Sunday morning, (not realizing Sundays they are closed) he said "come back before 5pm today" great! That afternoon, an unexpected guest show up at my house so I completely forgot the 5 o'clock pick up appointment. I showed up about 15 minutes late, needless to say they had closed for the day. Oh well, I guess I'll need to buy another pair for my event on Sunday. Sunday morning at 7am I get a phone call, the owner is at the cleaners letting me know my pants are done then he apologized that I missed my pick up time the day before. WOW, talk about customer service. We've always been happy with the service here but to go above and beyond on your day off? 5 stars is not nearly enough for the service you receive here. read more

The quality of the work is good. I recently had 2 pairs of capris converted into shorts and I'm quite happy with the results. However, the latest customer service experience has me re-thinking of taking my business elsewhere. I was told that my shorts would be ready on this past Tuesday. When I arrived to pick them up on Tuesday, I was told to come back in 2 hours as they were not ready. I was unable to return later that day, so I picked up my shorts the following morning. The guy who served me recognized me from the previous day, and he apparently held a grudge. I was treated rudely as if I insulted his family. Customers have their own schedules to follow and can't always return when the business dictates. This is not an appointment-based business so I can't understand the stern treatment since I did pick up my order on the following day. We went here based on the this cleaner being voted number 1 for Vacaville. Vacaville's standards must really be low. We took a rug to be cleaned and it still had sand in it. On further inspection, we found the sticky spot was still there also. The odor was somewhat better when we picked it up, but in a short period of time, the bad smell started coming back. We will not base a selection of businesses to use on the rating of "Best Business of ...." ever again. What they say and what they do, are two totally different things. read more
