My skin post winter was so dry, and I had some breakouts on my chin and she targets those problem areas and educated me about the tools and steps throughout the process. I should've known the second I walked in and seeing the amount of cosmetic and medspa offerings this not a legitimate functional medicine office. My first appointment I came in then did a BMI assess ment, took vitals, and then I met with Daiva who is one of their nurse practitioners. She listened to my symptoms as I explained what I've been experiencing with no changes and only seeming to get worse. She wrote down everything I mentioned and noted that I would need to come back for testing as no one told me prior to this appt I should've been fasting for lab work. I then came back about a week later, had an insane amount of blood taken for testing, urine test, and H. Pylori testing done. When I came back a few weeks later for a 2pm appointment I waited for over 20 minutes before anyone took me back and then additional testing was done prior to going over results with Daiva. A metabolic breathe test was done and then an ultrasound of my leg veins was done. I was assured that the ultrasound was a free screening and would not be charged. I have been monitoring my insurance to make sure that is true. I was already annoyed because at this point I had been here an hour and still not gone over my results. Finally we make it to the back and they are taking my vitals again and weight, then going back to see Daiva for all my results. This took about another hour to go over everything. My boyfriend came with me as he wanted to see if they could find out any updates and then determine if he should start coming here as a patient as well. He was even more annoyed that I was that we had been there for 2 hours and could not answer anything of my sickness and instead suggested I do additional testing that I had requested to do in the first place and would be all out of pocket costs. The only thing the lab work came back with was every vitamin in my body was very low and below the optimal functional range. They did not do the GI mapping like I had requested or glyphosphate testing. When I brought it to Daiva's attention that my allergist found out that my histamine levels are extremely high it maybe affecting my gut health and DAO enzyme productivity. Her response is "what is a DAO enzyme" once I heard that and all the specific testing I wanted was not done I knew this was a money grab functional medicine scam. They sent me home with over $500 worth of supplements and she recommended I start taking them all immediately. For someone who is depleted of these vitamins wouldn't taking all these doses at once send the body into shock? I followed up with my PCP, allergist, and a legit functional medicine doctor. They agreed most if not all of the herbal supplements they sent me home with were completely unnecessary. Very disappointed in what seems to be a money grab scam and there was still not clear diagnosis of my symptoms or what maybe even causing them. Very frustrating as i am still not feeling well and was hoping they would be able to say it was a gut imbalance or some type of parasite. Not to mention even more concerning that a patient knows more than their provider about gut health and enzyme. DO NOT GO HERE FOR FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE! I will be monitoring my insurance and credit card charges to make sure they are not continuing to charge me.

I was seeking a trainer that was not part of a large gym since I tend to not get to the gym unless I have an appointment. I'd rather workout outside on my own by biking, walking or running. Tom makes it so easy for me to get in, workout - then I'm done (I love being done!). I look forward to each session since he mixes things up each time.

However, I feel compelled to share my disappointing experience with the Wayne office. Dr. Gritsus himself was great--kind, informative, and professional. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for his staff, specifically Adriana, the surgical coordinator. I had my initial consultation with Dr. Gritsus on May 19th at 4:30 PM, likely one of the last appointments of the day. At the end of the visit, I was told my surgery could be scheduled. A medical assistant (I assume) informed me that Adriana had already left for the day but would call me the next day to move forward with scheduling. That call never came. I followed up myself on May 23rd. I was told Adriana wasn't answering and that a message would be left for her. Still, I heard nothing. I called again on May 29th and was once again told she had left for the day. I asked about her schedule, and oddly, the staff didn't know it--yet somehow always knew she had "just left." I called back once more on May 30th and spoke with Brian. He was sympathetic and said he would email Adriana, copying in the office manager and her supervisor, to make sure I received a call from her that same day--or by Monday at the latest. It is now Monday afternoon. Still no call. After weeks of being in pain and getting nowhere, I now have no choice but to find another doctor and start the process all over again. It's incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I truly don't understand how someone so critical to the scheduling process can be so unresponsive--and still employed. The office is likely losing revenue and, more importantly, patient trust because of this. Thankfully, my situation isn't life-threatening, but it could be for someone else.

The office staff is amazing and very helpful- especially Lyanna and Brianna- they are super responsive and very attentive during the long process of getting surgery approved by insurance. I was beyond skeptical when my mom first began this diet last spring, to me it seemed too extreme and like it would be hard to keep the weight off but I did my first 40 day round mid October and I was shocked. I'm 27 and started at 186 and ended at 159. The 'coaches' are super responsive to your questions via text or email, you'll find yourself asking a lot of questions at the start. The weigh-ins were super quick and informative. The thing that got me to stick with it were the daily weigh ins, you literally watch the scale go down every morning it's like a competition with yourself. I'm writing this review because it not only worked but the weight stayed off. I ended my first round just before thanksgiving and once the holidays rolled around I was not eating responsibly and I didn't gain the weight back. I also found myself not as hungry which might've made the difference as well. Currently on a short 23 day round and doing another 40 day before my wedding in April. Couldn't recommend this more, it's easy to follow and changes your body incredibly.
