I had…read morealready decided upon Dr. Colin Harris as my Orthopedic Spine Surgeon when a friend reached out with the name of a highly recommended Spinal Neurosurgeon: Dr. Rajnik Raab. It was mere coincidence that Dr. Raab is also part of the CNSO medical team! This connection affirmed that CNSO was indeed the correct practice for me. For cases such as mine, the CNSO surgical team includes surgeons from both spinal disciplines: Orthopedic Spine Surgeon AND a Spinal Neurosurgeon. This combination was super-important to me and actually one of the main reasons that I went with CNSO. I met with Dr. Raab and I immediately liked him. He is very calm, warm, and articulate. He further clarified and explained the issues/situation around the progressive, painful deformity in my spine (Scheuermann's disease) that I had lived with for years. He appreciated my questions and my understanding, which he also further impressed upon me, of the seriousness and the recovery challenges associated spinal surgery. In January, Dr. Harris and Dr. Raab performed a 13-vertebrae (T2-L2) spinal fusion on my spine. I suffer from rosacea, which has caused certain portions of my face to look weathered (Only word that comes to mind). I must say that I was taken back by the professionalism of the entire staff. The staff was very welcoming and in all honesty made me feel super comfortable being that I am not a huge fan of any medical center (sorry male here). Staff member(s) took photos of my face. I was than escorted to a separate room where my options were explained to me in detail. All my concerns were addressed. Although there is no cure for rosacea, the staff offered Different variations of treatment to help reduce the redness and inflammation on my face which was very noticeable. After choosing a treatment I was shocked to learn that treatment that we chose was surprisingly affordable. After a few minutes I was led to a different room to began my treatment. I was again put at ease by the professionalism of the staff as they again explained step by step what to except as the procedure began. The staff held a full conversation with me during my procedure which made my time there seem to go a lot faster. During the Procedure my face responded extremely well to the treatment that was chosen. Majority of the redness and small bumps around my nose area were cut by more than 1/2. I opted for surgery in January, in which he and his team (along with Dr. Napolitano) replaced my damaged discs, added spacers and four screws to secure the new discs in place. Prior to surgery I suffered for 7+ years with constant pain and the inability to do common everyday things we all take for granted. Eight weeks after surgery, I was back to leading a "normal" life pain free and enjoying life. It's now eight months later and I able to work out daily, participated in a 4 mile walk for St. Joseph's Children's Hospital and can actual bend down to pick things up off the ground and most importantly tie my shoes! Karen in the office was great and really helped me throughout the whole process. Dr Ganchi was very informative and my Procedure went smoothly. The scars from the procedure are unnoticeable and I was back to work within a week. I'm extremely happy with my decision. The only negative thing I would have to say is that I was not required to have blood work done prior to the surgery. My surgery was done on 9/9 and I found out I was pregnant on 9/15 (this was unexpected). Now, they did perform a urine pregnancy test the morning of my surgery however, it must have been too early to tell. This caused quite a scare for me but I immediately contacted both doctors and my daughter has since been born and is healthy and was not effected by the procedure or medications taken during recovery. My OBGYN said it's always best to receive blood work prior to a surgery, this being one of the reasons why so I would strongly suggest that even if you are not told or advised to get blood work, I would just to be on the safe side. The staff and facility I thought was great. The end result a year later is that I do think they look much better, but I don't feel they look the same. The shape is different. This may be because of the prior lumpectomy but I think this should have been taken into consideration. Also the side i had the lipo looks like it needs a bit more lipo as you can see a section that clearly needs a bit more. There is like a layer of fat. When I went to my last follow up, the Dr wasn't there. And he wasn't there on a few follow up visits. The nurse was, to take some final pics and said I can have a bit more lipo done, but it would be another lipo procedure, meaning I would have to pay again. Which I feel to be unfair as I already paid to make them look the same. And already paid for lipo. This was expensive ..all in all, I feel they look better than before but still don't think paying for more lipo is quite fair. Also while I was recovering one side got a fungal Infection. I don't know how that could happen as I kept it very clean and followed all the directions. All I can think of is the tape that was put on was not put on properly and moisture got beneath it. I had to go in and have the tape removed earlier than expected, and put anti fungal medication on. It wasn't even noticed , as I was sending photos, until I specifically pointed it out. So I did have a difficult recovery. It was a stressful time for me.

He immediately put a splint on and eased my pain and was now ready to heal. I then went for MRI and he found I also tore some ligaments and gave me a choice for hard cast or keep splint. I chose a hard cast , but do to my own chlostorphobic issues had to have it removed by Dr. Denoble who was good and caring enough to meet me on a Saturday. I went back to a splint which was a personal better choice for me. I cannot describe how wonderful and caring these Drs are !!! They are such great doctors who truly care about the treating , healing, and also their patients feelings .My mom has also been a patient of Dr.Stern for years ( she has had many health issues from a broken hip , arthritis, ect.)always been treated wonderfully by her and healed her health issues. I would never go to another orthopedic group and I would refer them to any one who needs an orthopedic Dr. . A friend suggested I see someone at Modern Orthopaedics of New Jersey, as they have an extensive knowledge of wrist injuries. The office staff was lovely, efficient, and incredibly helpful. They were able to schedule a consult for me quickly which was fantastic. I met with Dr. Stern who took the time to listen, review my pain and answer all of my questions. She performed an x-ray onsite and discussed the images with me which was very helpful. Illegally billed my MEDICAL INSURANCE for an auto insurance claim, causing me to waste dozens of hours trying to fix the problem - company threatened to get collections agency after THEIR MISTAKE. Site administrator is condescending and arrogant. Practice intentionally waited 8 days before sending my medical records through the mail. Direct quote from site administrator, "We retract ALL MEDICAL ADVICE we gave you." While Dr. Pierce comes off as a nice person, his company does not mirror this by their actions. Managers for the doctors are atrocious and are emotionally vapid. They have zero interest in the care of their patients. Avoid this practice at all costs.
