Walking in you find a room for the bride to prepare as well as Britty's office. We hadn't realized it yet, but you go down a level to get to the main space which we thought was so unique to 413. Going down in the elevator we had no idea what to expect and we were completely blown away!! There's exposed brick, pipes, color changing interior lights, designated bar space as well as a stage. Plus there's a bathroom downstairs and on the main level, with spots for a gift table and wedding book/favor table. The space holds up to 200, and we ended up having about 196 and it didn't feel tight or as though there was a lack of room. Britt herself is amazing, so full of information about the space and how to have a successful wedding reception. She had great reccomendations for other vendors and we got so many compliments on our wedding!! We used her reccomended bar setup, Dj and even s'mores vendor which all made our day beyond perfect! People came out of the woodwork after our wedding to ask about 413 and how we found so an amazing place! They have chiavari chairs and large tables that hold up to 12 people, and she even gives options for how you want your main table to be! I would have my wedding there over and over and over again! The rooftop photos turned out stunning, our vendors were all reccomended by Britty and were amazing and our whole day was unforgettable! The space in the Gilbert building in downtown St Paul is intimate, warm, and inviting. Molded tiles adorned the ceiling and a beautiful Tiffany-style light fixture provided glowing illumination and a centerpiece to pull the room together. The room felt small at first glance, but was more than adequate for the 120 people attending the function I was at. The reception hall on the lower level was just as perfect. Everyone mixed and mingled happily while live music played and hors d'oeuvres were served. I was especially fond of the bruschetta we ate and how fresh it tasted. The staff was very accommodating and helpful throughout our event, with the head server asking about timing of serving each course and adjusting for the needs of our group's event. I have not met someone who is more understanding, professional, diligent, and calming. We had a large wedding of over 300 people and they all fit wonderfully. We were able to utilize the gorgeous outdoor garden for our wedding ceremony as well as our social hour. I was worried when I looked at the outdoor space, that not all 300+ guests would fit, or that it would be crammed and uncomfortable. However, it exceeded our expectations! The flowers were beautiful, the white gazebo was so pretty against the dark green grass, and bright flowers. The outdoor area, was really beautiful and fit our summer garden themed wedding. We were able to have an outdoor bar in the garden for guests to use and mingle as they walked around and enjoyed the summer evening. With 300+ people, space was very important for us. We needed an space that would fit that many people, but also allow enough room for guests to move around. The last thing we wanted was for them to be crammed in and tripping over chairs to get a drink. The ballroom accommodated them beautifully. The dance floor is HUGEE!!! Something like 2,000 sq feet! But believe me, our guests used it! The dance floor was always filled with people young and old. It was nice to have enough room for everyone to dance around. No one stepping on others feet. Another important aspect to us, was the bars! Of course! We really did not want people to be waiting in long lines to get a beverage. Withrow has two bars, and both were fully staffed, and were able to serve our guests quickly and efficiently. Another great thing about Withrow is that it fits with almost every theme. We chose a summer-garden theme, with a flare. We did Blinged out vases, with LED lights inside, and hydrangeas. We had rose petal and diamond scatter, with black table clothes and white chair covers! It looked fabulous! I also saw pictures of other weddings with many different themes. One with a simple fall centerpiece, another glammed out. The Ballroom can adapt to any theme and blends in perfect to any decor. Overall, Withrow was the perfect venue for us, nothing too fancy or upitty, just a genuinely UNIQUE and historical venue. The best part is that ALL of our guests had a great time, and felt at home. I still don't think I have seen a wedding with more people on the dance floor with smiles on their faces. Any time multiple guests describe your wedding as "Magical" you know you did something right! Thanks Pam for all your help!

The location is a bit off the road yet there are great signs to help you go the right way and a giant dirt parking lot. Be prepared to walk as there are some rocks and stairs to climb up before reaching the destination. Tea times are served under a wooden pergola with twinkle lights. Table setting a have fresh centerpieces from the garden and each person gets to choose their teacup and saucer upon entry. The food is served in a tiered plate setting and there are options to modify if you have anyone with allergies in your group. Typically there are 2-3 rotating teas that are served and there is plenty of room to move around and mingle if you choose. The service is gentle, kind and accommodating. I was stressed trying to get the last things done on the day of, and she was amazing and came in and helped me finish setting things up and helped organize people. She was willing to meet with us before, if I had any questions and was very responsive on emails. We found them on the Knot and WeddingWire and we actually just live up the street from the venue so we knew what it would look like inside. It's such a beautiful setting you hardly have to decorate it all. We obviously brought in some of our own touches, though. They have chair covers and other decorations that you can rent. Duke was the chef and did a great job. Food is obviously a little different on the day of with how much they have to make versus the tasting day, but we received positive comments from all of our guests. We actually rented some of the hotel rooms upstairs too, which anyone who stayed there was super excited about. It's nice to just be able to go right upstairs and not have to transfer to a hotel. The rooms are very unique and were fun to stay in. Serving staff and bartenders were on top of everything! I don't think I can say this enough...Karna is AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!! I hope someone else I know gets married there so I can go back to experience it from the guests side too :-)

These plates are all right around 32-38 per plate so at that price you would expect delicious food. I think the quality of the food was there and it had more to do with the preparation vs. the product itself. The staff was a little snippy with the wedding party in the afternoon when one asked if there was anyway possible they could get coffee or water--apparently this is a money making business and that was not part of the deal so they were shut down with a curt response of No-but nice try!!!! The open bar selection was boring and standard--and the glassware was not upscale. I would have expected a martini glass to be available and perhaps a few more exotic liquors and mixers just for fun.
