Valcore Recycling has kind, attentive workers all around the center. A worker always confirms with you if you took your caps off your bottles before you even enter, and from the moment you enter, someone is helping direct customers to open available parking. Workers always pick up your bins for you when you're done putting your recycling in as well and receiving your payment is quick and easy via check. Some say you lose more money by turning in recycling by weight instead of per bottle but those like me who just need to recycle and get out right away, this is your place for good value in experience while doing a tedious task. Workers deserve a raise. They work hard to make the process go as smooth as possible for all customers. Thank you for all your help. This recycling center was great! Most of the employees were nice, one was a bit peeved at me taking photos and thought I was taking photos of him. But, I explained to him I do reviews on Yelp and he then proceeded to make some interesting remarks. All that aside, we recycled 4-5 garbage bags of cans that filled up 2 of their trash bins. Only got $16 back but it's better than nothing. If you're looking for a recycling center, going here is your best bet. I love this recycling center. This service is very quick and the price for dumping is very lenient depending on what you're doing.

The best time is to go early as you can. My daughter and I went to Valcore on 10/21/25 early am around 8:30am. We were greeted by an attendant and he explained the process to enter the stations that are available to the right. So we parked and unloaded the recycles into bins that were placed at the station, and once we're done. I let the crew members know I was done who were patrolling and they transported the bins for you to the weigh scale and register to have it weighed and paid by a check. It was a smooth process and we were out in 20 mins. Early is better if you can. My daughter said it seemed really fast. So thanks Valcore crew. read more

********CONSUMER BEWARE********** Recently, in Fall of 2025, I brought multiple pre- weighed loads of CRV materials such as aluminum, plastic, glass, etc. Unfortunately, many of these loads were weighed inaccurately or worse, they were skimmed. The only positive is that only 2 of the employees made mistakes. One employee in particular made errors on many loads with wrong weights on Glass, Plastic, and Aluminum. The latter employee was questioned on the last load when he clearly shorted a whole barrel of Aluminum. He claimed HE PAID ME and therefore I wasn't a customer....huh? Said I had no right to question him. I said well something is wrong and you must have missed a barrel. He denied a mistake and began playing a victim claiming he was accused of skimming. He then went on and said he could rob me if he wanted and it wouldn't be for a small amount. He claims he simply made yet another mistake. Keep in mind it was raining and there were no customers behind me. In addition I only had two barrels of Aluminum. The first check was for 7 lbs even and so I spotted the error immediately. In the end, I had to prove my load was more than I was paid by soliciting a honest employees input. He verified I had more Aluminum than I was paid. I was reluctantly reissued a check for his mistake. I was then told since he doesn't get anything by me coming there, and since I'm not happy with the weight, to not come there. I told him I would have to hear that from the owner or the manager Ken. It is hard to believe Ken would support this insolence. I asked for my load back and was told they dumped it. He knows he is supposed to wait for acceptance. In addition, I had already let this same person weighing my materials know he must have made a mistake prior to this incidence; Wed before Thanksgiving. He didn't deny it. He challenged me and asked me what I had as for weight on #6s. When I told him and it matched his own he simply got quiet. Lastly I was asked why I always check their scale and I said it was to check to see that our scales are congruent. This is very unfortunate that an employee can treat someone with such little respect and complete disregard. I AM a customer and I am NOT his therapy doll. Anyone who can't control themselves when they make a mistake and simply apologize should be reconsidered for employment. Needless to say not owning up to a mistake and trying to not pay a customer iis 100 percent unacceptable. As a tax paying business, we expect to get paid for the material we pay taxes on when redeeming. The Valcore employee suggested we stop paying taxes. As he stated, I wouldn't. Lastly, we weigh all loads redeemed and have not had any problems with other California Redemption Centers; their weights match ours. They have paper shredding service 1x/mo. Which is great. You can choose to watch your papers being shredded or leave it there on weekdays and they will weigh it and lock it up to be shredded when truck is there I believe the 3rd or 4th Sat of month. The cost is very reasonable/$.50/lb w/min 10#. The place is a little hard to find but it's off of Solano Ave near Curtola (Vallejo). read more

VALCORE Recycling - Recycling Center Near Me - Vallejo, California

Keep in mind that this place is the only recycling center in Vallejo. With that being said this place can get very busy and you may have to wait in line for a while so plan ahead for your time being spent there! The workers do keep in mind of the businesses surrounding the area and the do have workers clearing off driveways and etc. Once you get inside the lot which I think there's only 6 spots available for cars to park (maybe more idk) you then put your recyclables in the grey bins and once you're done they haul It over to the line for you. PLEASE BE PATIENT because since this place isn't big, they literally manually shuffle through your items bin by bin to make sure everything is recyclable (of course). This is why it takes long. They do not have the machines as other places do. So honestly they are doing the best they can to get to everyone and they do a fast yet efficient job! read more

Did you know most municipalities are sponsoring ways to recycle? At my last residence I signed up for a composting class and purchased a composting bin for $5. It lasted me 10 years until I had to move. I wanted to start a compost bin here so I searched for "Vallejo compost" and lo and behold! They had bins that normally cost over $100 for $35. I've started my bin and it works like a charm. The staff at Valcore recycling were open, honest and kinda astonished by my request because no one has heard of this program. They couldn't understand how I found them. They have an ample stock of bins. By the power of Google and Yelp - happy composting. read more

Today, Friday, Sept. 1 in the afternoon. The White older man in a baseball cap and a green vest directing traffic on the street completely mistreated a husband and wife, two customers. Appalling! He took a look at their stuff and said they were over the limit, laughing at them. These two Vietnamese people were so dejected. They had already put all their stuff in the barrels. Why didn't he tell them before? He could have. He thought it was a big joke, all their work gone to waste. Instead of splitting the load, or taking a partial load, he made them load it ALL back up and leave. Then the cherry on the cake? He said that ought to teach them a lesson. CRUEL. read more

I was looking for a local place to drop off my shredding. They offer 2 paper shredding services: drop off and shred or you can watch as they shred. The folks who work here are super nice, communicative, and diligent. Very charming Vallejo spot that offers some much needed services. I arrived at 10am (when they open, check their website for current business hours, they aren't updated in Yelp) and people were already lining up to donate their recycling etc. read more

This is my go-to place for recycling. I bring aluminum cans, plastic and glass bottles, and also the little probiotic bottles (kinda like Yakult). The guys who work here are friendly and helpful. They have a good system down for getting onto the premises, you unloading your car and putting things into the container to weigh, getting your stuff over to get weighed, cutting you a check, and getting out of there. If you do go, just make sure you remove the caps off your containers. Also helps to already have your things sorted. It makes the process easier. read more

Supper FRIENDLY and HELPFUL staffs. This place is clean and neat! I have been to this place since the covid started and keep coming back since then. The location is supper convenience and well organized. The staffs will help you bring all your recycling to scale station, unlike other places where you have to do it on your own. A little bit tight on the rules that if you bring over 100 pounds of plastic or cans or 1000 pounds of glass, they will be returned. Fortunately, I have never brought over the limits. Regardless of that rules, everything is good. I would recommend this place to others. read more

This is by far the most organized most friendly staff In Ye bay area! Considering the nature of this business it's very shocking how these employees are so polite and courteous ! It's make me whole spirit happy! The CA customer related business should emulate this kind of behavior! Specially those arrogant servers ! Quick and easy drop off! Much better than any of the Goodwill drop off locations. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a setup that's meant to get people in and out. I would highly recommend recycling and clothes drop-offs here over Goodwill and Salvation Army. read more

I've been here twice and the gentleman help as much as they can to ensure I'm getting the most out of my items. It was my first time here this past weekend and it a spectacular experience. The entire staff was extremely friendly and courteous! They'll walk you through their process and get you started without hesitation. Everything is well organized and efficient to get you in and out as soon as possible. There are PLENTY of containers for you to sort out each material. I encourage anyone to drop by and use their services! The driveway is a little tight for bigger vehicles but the parking area is spacious outside then plant. It's located at a dead end so there isn't much traffic to deal with. Their facility is very well maintained and clean. They even have free boxes and a book store! They take used books as well. They do not give you cash, all their payments are with checks so be prepared for that. read more

This is a good place to get your recycling done. They pay alright, but again it's a recycling place so what can you expect. Make sure you check their hours, they close for their lunch. They're always busy. The guys there are pretty quick though. Normally what takes long is getting your cans and bottles into the garbage cans they have. Check out is pretty quick and easy. They do hand you a check vs handing you cash. I've been here a couple of times and the guys are always helpful. Remember to uncap your plastic bottles before you go, or you'll be there an eternity. read more

One of the cleanest and organized facilities for recycling! They have bins to recycle and donate clothes. We were first timers so we weren't aware of taking the caps off the plastic bottles. This recycling center is the best. They have friendly staff and very helpful. The place is clean and very orderly. Upon arrival, you are given a short briefing on what they accept. You are led to a parking spot wherein a staff member gives you several drums to place your recyclables. After loading your recyclables the staff member bring them to be weighed and then paid by check. read more

Upon arriving I was instructed on the process and what to do from A-Z, which I appreciated because i have been to some recycling centers that have no organization and very limited ppl working and thus the process can be confusing.
