Our cat on way to her surgery

Excellent place to get your cat spayed or neutered. You pay based on income level. Our vet quoted $1,200, we pay $400 including putting in a chip. The surgery went well without complications. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's hard to get appointments so plan ahead. Check website when appointments open up for that month. It goes pretty quickly[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

My fur baby (left ear after surgery by Dr Goh)
    Nona C.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Awesome, friendly people! Great service[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. My GS Rotty mix had a left ear hematoma that didn't heal after taking her to her normal vet. Seems the original vet only wanted to charge me for drainage, patch and meds. Then charge again for surgery (since they knew the ear would not heal w/o surgery). Dr Goh at AFC not only drained the hematoma but also repaired my dog's ear to where it won't fill with blood nor fluid again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Thank you Dr Goh for your attention and care for my fur baby!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She's a sweet girl and is loved. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The AFC has staff that love animals!!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    DIY cone of shame

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The entire experience from beginning to end was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Reserving the spay date and time online is very convenient.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a number to call if you have questions which you can leave on an answering machine and they get back to you or communicate via email.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is an entire process for checking in on the day of and picking up post procedure. It all happens outside and it is there that you will meet any of the staff and sign papers, in their large parking lot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Directions are given by email and if you read everything all the way through and follow the directions it will all come together well. The clinic has it all figured out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They need a well run system as they do quite a few procedures on these surgery days. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I didn't hear from the clinic when they were done with the procedure. You were just suppose to show up at the pick up time along with everyone else.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Luna's procedure went well and her incision and stitches looked good. There wasn't any redness, swelling or drainage. Luna was given pain meds and antibiotics for recovery. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was given a number to call if there were problems and or questions. I did not need to call because there weren't any problems.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I never met the vet that operated on Luna, but the staff were very courteous and helpful from beginning to end.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would highly recommend Animal Fix Clinic.

    Milo post-surgery

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing people who took great care of my Min Pin Milo![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I got very exact information to follow pre-surgery and post-surgery, and the whole process was smooth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Payment was easy as well and pricing made procedure affordable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone I talked to was kind, professional and compassionate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt very comfortable leaving my dog in clinic's care, and I usually feel very anxious when it comes to him.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Procedure itself was the least invasive, and my dog started to heal quickly with no complications. Thank you!

    His incision after surgery

1st impression: I can't express how grateful I am for Animal Fix Clinic! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I reached out to them the same day to ask about a colopexy surgery for my cat, and they responded immediately.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not only did they reply quickly, but they also squeezed me in for an appointment this weekend on Sunday, something no other clinic was able to do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had contacted multiple clinics, but Animal Fix was the only one that truly came through for me. So far, everything has been great, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the staff is kind, understanding, and genuinely cares about the well-being of animals.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I can't wait for my cat to finally get relief from his pain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Huge thank you to the team for their fast response and compassion![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Highly recommend them to anyone in need of urgent care for their pets. AFTER surgery: I cannot express enough gratitude for Animal Fix Clinic and Dr. Goh! After visiting MANY hospitals across the Bay Area, I kept hearing the same thing--they had to *find* a surgeon and see if anyone would agree to perform my cat's surgery. That uncertainty made me incredibly uncomfortable, especially given how critical his condition was. But the moment I reached out to Dr. Goh, everything changed. She immediately reviewed his records, confidently assured me she could perform the surgery, and even provided a set date--something no other hospital could do. While other places were still figuring out which surgeon *might* know how to, Dr. Goh already had a plan. That's why I chose her 100% from the start, and looking back, I am so glad I made that decision. Dr. Goh wasn't just an incredibly skilled surgeon--she was compassionate, thorough, and quick to act. When your pet is in critical condition, every second counts!! she understood that better than anyone, no unnecessary testing or steps with her, She even put me on standby to ensure my cat would get surgery as soon as possible. Before the procedure, he was in unbearable pain, barely moving. Less than 24 hours later, he was up, walking, having regular bowel movements, and back to his normal self--it was truly unbelievable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also have to give a huge thank you to the entire staff, especially Erin and the nurses, who went above and beyond.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The front desk team was incredibly informative, and the level of care from start to finish was unmatched.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unlike other hospitals that only focus on what you're paying for, Dr. Goh and her nurses genuinely cared about my cat's overall health, even recommending important vaccinations that others overlooked. Finding Animal Fix Clinic at the last minute was the best thing that could have happened. There is truly no other place like this if your cat is in critical condition and needs surgery, this is where you need to go. I'm forever grateful for their care, expertise, and kindness.

    Foster kitten after amputation
    Blimp L.

I took my foster kitten here for a rear leg amputation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff I communicated with by email were very helpful and got me the soonest available appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The pricing was also very clearly communicated and reasonable. I like that the vet examined the cat and came and talked to me about her findings and plan before the procedure. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I felt like all of my questions were answered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vet came out and talked to me at pick up time as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Appropriate pain medications were prescribed, and staff followed up with me via email a few days later to see how the kitten was doing, which I really appreciated. I actually took a mom cat and her kittens here in 2015 to have them fixed and vaccinated etc (they became my cats). That was my first time getting involved with cat rescue, and this clinic was great back then too. I highly recommend Animal Fix Clinic!

It's cliche, but if I can give them 10 stars, I'd give them 15! This place is amazing, and it's due to ALL the employees there from the people who check us in, the amazing nurses, and of course, Dr.Goh! It can be stressful for a pet owner to leave your babies in someone else's hands, but they alleviate those fears with their calm and caring demeanor. It was very reassuring. We traveled to Richmond from The South Bay so they told us that they'd take our dogs first to make sure we don't hit traffic adding to our babies anxiety...we were on the road home by 1:30p. So thank you guys so much for your consideration and for making a big deal with the smallest details. Our dogs were sent home with brand new harnesses, not saying everyone gets one, but it's their caring nature for their clients and fur babies that they treat. A day later, Dash and Boy Boy are doing well and thankful for finding a clinic run by angels. I highly highly recommend this clinic. Although I wish there were more places like this, I'm glad there is not because they deserve all the business and success as it's well deserved.

Review is for volunteering experience:…read more This year, my work team decided to volunteer at the Richmond Bay Area Rescue Mission (BARM). I did not know much about BARM, other than they do offer meals to the needy and are a Christian-faith organization. We had no idea what we'll be helping with on the day of arrival. Our entire group of 12 or so did have to pass a COVID Antigen test before entering. Our event turned out to be kitchen duties, like you read about in Kitchen Confidential or from cooking reality shows. Everyone was super friendly, but you feel the adrenalin of working hard in a commercial kitchen. You work as a team and you work safely, since you got hot surfaces, sharp objects, boiling liquids and occasionally wet floor everywhere. My main task was dishwasher, which brings back memories of my first job. Scrape, Rinse, Sanitize and dry! Those high-powered Hobart washing machines make cleanup a snap. The feel of the nozzle is great as it blasts away all food scraps. Wish I had these at home! My next task was helping cutting up some 30-50 pounds of chicken breast for a marinade. The chef was planning to make some coconut-curry soup so he occasionally dumped Five-Spice and Chili Sauce as we cut. Those Dexter Chef Knifes were super sharp and the blade was something like 10" to 12" long, like a short sword. I thought my home 6" Henckels Chef Knife was sharp but those Dexter knives were on a different level. At the end, I can show my blisters proudly. My other colleagues served food to customers, cooked, diced vegetables, cracked dozens of eggs, unloaded a delivery truck, and moved things to the freezers. They got some high-quality produce here from Costco, Sprouts, and Trader Joes, and some of it organic! Highly recommend considering BARM if you're interested in volunteering some time. Being in a commercial kitchen was also fun since you experience what its like to be part of the machine that cranks out food. Everyone had a role to play to make it possible to crank out 50-100 meals per shift.
