I had a really disappointing experience at Vale. When I walked in, I stood there for quite a while before anyone acknowledged me, and when they finally did, it felt like I was inconveniencing them rather than being welcomed as a customer. I ordered a smoothie and was honestly shocked when I received it--it tasted like straight coconut milk with little to no substance. Paying $15 for what was essentially a cup of milk was extremely disappointing. Between the lack of basic customer service and the poor quality of the product, this was not the experience I expected. Came to Vale for dinner and had a genuinely terrible experience. We ordered two wraps at 6:44 PM, dining in person. They brought out one wrap after 6-8 minutes, but the second one never came. We checked in three separate times asking if the second wrap was being made, and were reassured each time that it was. For context, the restaurant was completely empty. There was only one other person there. After 20 minutes of waiting, we asked a fourth time, and they admitted they hadn't even started making it yet but said they would. When they finally brought out a wrap, it was the wrong one (same as what we got the first time). At that point we complained directly and they agreed to refund us, but only for the wrap we never got, and said they would remake it. We waited another 10 minutes, checked in for the fifth time, and they still hadn't started. They handed us the manager's card and said there was nothing they could do, that they weren't the cook. We walked out at 7:20 PM and went to get food somewhere else. This is primarily about the service disaster, but the food we did get was pretty bland. Quality was fine but definitely overpriced for what you get. No apology, no accountability, no attempt to actually just remake the order after multiple mistakes. Easily one of the worst fast casual experiences we've ever had in the area. There are so many other bowl and wrap spots nearby with better food, service, and value. We walked into Vale and there were quite a lot of people coming and going with to-go orders, which we thought was a great sign. However, once inside the greenhouse decor, we were unsure of which way to go to order. The staff was busy making to-go orders and not necessarily helping customers waiting to order. There are no paper menus just menu items on the TV screens but they don't rotate so if you want to look at the bowls or salads you need to walk around to the other counter to see what is available, which if you are handicapped, is quite annoying. Once we did finally get to order they were out of avocado toast, which was one of the reasons we were there. We ordered a Sweet Earth chicken bowl and a chicken Caesar wrap, which honestly were both dreadful. We didn't finish either and threw most of it out. The quality of the food is great service is wonderful and the restaurant is very clean. Whenever I go, I'll always get a small bowl which is filling however it's about $15. Visited Vale stop in Jacksonville cause I used to stop and I go to Sam's halfway and then you could actually make it make it home from Jacksonville to my house. It is less than a half a tank food in town center in Boca Raton. My girlfriend got the build your own bowl and really likes it as well. The staff is extremely friendly and they even let you sample anything before adding it to your bowl to make sure you'll like it. Everything here is gluten free. This place is similar to Pura Vida, Fresh Kitchen Bolay and more. Located in Boca Center, you can find what you need here. The prices are a bit more expensive than the other places. One negative - they had a sign for broccoli but they didn't have any (they should take the sign down, imo). That's why I gave it a 4.
