I stopped into Playa today for a Veterans Day bowl. I honestly didnt know about the location but when somene had mentioned they had a deal going on I drove over yesterday morn. It was easy to find, it was right on a strip of businesses on Palmetto. I walked in to cheerful place, but no customers at the moment. 3 employees were chatting. When i stepped up, only 1 actually noted I was there. her name was Becky. I mentioned the bowl and she said they didn't have that offer. I found it on their Instagram. Apparently they are a franchise model and the post was done by only 1 location. I was a little bummed, but Becky said, you know what, I will take care of your bowl. I wasn't sure what to get, but she mentioned one with peanut butter and bananas and i was all about it. I left, after the the order and enjoyed a very tasty bowl. And I will be back. Hopefully to the same positive vibes as this visit. read more

Really cute acai smoothie place walking distance from the beach! I came in on a Saturday morning and there were people there along with three staff members. I got the pura vida bowl with half acai base and half coconut base it was delicious yet sweet. I highly recommend you do half Coconút it adds a nice creamyness texture to the icy acai base. It was topped with honey and blueberries and strawberries. The bowl was filling so don't let the looks deceive you! Overall very satisfied I wish we had this chain back home. read more

My go to and absolute favorite Açaí bowl place, even though I usually get other bases instead of Açaí here! My favorite is the pitaya base and the mango base! But this time I tried pitaya and chia seed! I think my favorite is still the half pitaya and half mango, but the chia seed base is also really good if you mix it with the pitaya! I always end up getting the nutaya bowl though because the toppings are perfect and there is even a Nutella drizzle, which makes the bowl a bit more sweet! They have healthier options too but I can't resist Nutella!! This location is also very close to the beach so we got our bowl to go and had a snack at the beach nearby! Playa Bowls has great combinations to choose from, and you can also customize your own. I did a split açaí and green base, which I always enjoy. The açaí still had some frozen chunks, which wasn't the greatest. My husband's Pitaya base was excellent. The fruit and toppings are always very fresh. On a beautiful Saturday, expect somewhat of a line. However, the service is fast. Today, they also had a jewelry pop-up which was cool. Overall, it's a nice place to come after the beach. read more

Unfortunately, unlike their competitors who are open by 7am, playa bowls opens until 8am. It's pretty odd considering they're right by the beach which always has people who are only there for the sunrise like me. The weather is just perfect at this time yet I'm unable to get my morning bowl from the closest place. Instead, I gotta drive to Tropical Cafe or Raw Juce. The boca location is small and get crowd on hot days and weekends. This location would receive a 5 star but this location is the inconsistency with the people making the smoothies and oatmeal bowls and the service is very hit or miss. I decided to try this place because someone that worked close by kept raving about it. I got the electric mermaid and honestly it was delicious minus the two piece of hair that I found but it was very small. I would've went back and asked for another one, but I was already too far south. After my bad experience at their Deerfield location, I gave it a couple of months before trying to come back to Playa. About 2 weeks ago my fiance and I gave it another try, we went to their Boca Raton location. I was excited to come here again having the mindset that it was going to be good because I haven't been in a long time but I'm sad to say I was not pleased. We ate inside and the customer service was good but they had made us the wrong order. They did remake it and it looked good as you can see in the picture but they barely gave us any toppings like almond butter and hemp seed and the ***2 worst things were that both of our bowls had watered down melted açaí and we had to throw out all the strawberry's because they were sour and spoiled. I thought eating in would mean our bowls would be fresh and not watered down but that wasn't the case. I'd rate this a 2/10, it's safe to say I will probably not be coming back here for a while. read more

I ordered a half acai and half Chia seed pudding with Nutella, bananas, strawberries, cacao nibs and toasted almonds. I noticed this place when we took the kids next door for ice cream and was curious about it so I walked inside and asked the cashier to walk me through the options - the menu board was a bit overwhelming - see pictures. It takes up a whole wall. She was really nice about it and said we could try out bases and/or mix. I asked her what she recommended and she said the Pacific Bowl was really a popular pick. Pacific Green Bowl - KALE BLEND TOPPED WITH GRANOLA, STRAWBERRY, BANANA, SHAVED ALMONDS, CHIA SEEDS, HONEY. I. wouldn't. change. a. thing. Too bad I was only visiting Boca, I would go to this place every other day or do Uber Eats if I didn't have time to step away from work. I really love Açai and wanted to try out this place. I drove 30mins just to come get a bowl here. Sadly my bowl was very liquidy, and i don't play with the consistency of my Açai. So, i asked the girl if she could remake it. She wasnt happy about it to say the least. My first bowl was very pretty and neat. The second one she made it really sloppy and gave me attitude. So here is a comparison of the first one which was watery and the second one that was thick. OVERALL very good flavor and i lovw the granola. read more

Despite the juicer being broken one time, the team made it in the blender and worked with me to get it as close as possible to the pressed version. The flexibility and consideration were through the roof--super sweet staff. I liked the dragon berry pitya bowl (i got mine gluten-free, with almond butter instead of honey). Can't wait to try more bowls. The team is so helpful to adjust the bowls to meet dietary restrictions. They immediately helped me tailor mine to vegan. The branded gear is great--such soft material.
