I gave one star because the store looks very nice. The service is another matter. I said quietly "excuse me" to a young female behind the pharmacy counter. The answer without looking up was a very annoyed "ya". I waited for her to look up when she did she said " I'm busy ". I stood quietly for a few seconds and told her that I was looking for someone to help me with a knee scooter rental. After staring for a minuet she walked away, I called after her asking who I should talk to she yelled out a name and kept walking. Needless to say I asked her name, it's "Brenda". I left, without doing any business and drove to Sherman oaks medical supply on Van Nuys Blvd. I had a great experience rented the scooter for my husband and was back on the road in 15 mins. The young gentleman that helped me was friendly and full of smiles. I try to business locally, but I will NEVER do business at Valencia Pharmacy, and will tell anyone who asks how bad the service is there. read more

No stars, used to be a great pharmacy for years. We had opiate prescription shorted pills. Pharmacy staff ignored doctors request for no generic. Consistently given inaccurate times medication would be done. Very rude and argumentative staff. We were told they could not get certain medication unless it was generic yet other location had no problem acquiring what doctor ordered. We kept trying them again because of years of being loyal customers however they made no effort to improve their services. Count your pills if you use this pharmacy please. read more

I am a very difficult guy to please and don't really like anyone and think that the service sucks everywhere. well, i have to say that I have always had awesome service at Valencia Pharmacy and they actually care about people there. I have had better luck with Valencia Pharmacy than the other reviewers here. They have covered my mom's prescriptions for several years now. They have a friendly, efficient staff. One month, I forgot to call to renew my mom's prescriptions, and they called me! They do get very busy, and sometimes seem a bit overwhelmed, but other than that, I feel it is a solid pharmacy with old-school charm. (And 1000% better than some of the chain pharmacies I've dealt with!) read more

Although they don't sell this particular brand, they went out of their way to help adjust the brake and repair a missing and important knob. They couldn't have been nicer or more professional. This place is horrible. I went in with a sick son. They took forever to fill my prescription. And the pharmacist wasn't even there. He was next-door doing something in the other office. They had to call him to come back. By the time he got back my son was ready to go. My son was very ill with the flu when we walked in. So then I had to have a friend to go and pick it up for me. When she got there they still had not mix the prescription for my son. And she had to wait as well. Everyone is slow there. I did not care for my experience there and hope that I do not have to go back. read more

I used this pharmacy for 2 years and every month, they kept raising the costs of my kids medicine. I finally got sick and tired of paying twice as much and went to walmart. I ended up saving35.00 a month going somewhere else. Plus ever since they got rid of Abby, the people behind the counter are just downright rude. I had a new pharmacy manager tell my mother, who i referred her to this place, that they have new policies that he found out are against the county rules for dispensing restrictive medicines. My mom will end up in the hospital if they stop filling her prescriptions. She is an attorney, so i feel bad for the person who lied to her. My mom has a incurable bone disease. The new person told her that they have decided to stop filling certain prescriptions. This place is just changing for the worse with the new people they hired. read more

I have not used the actual pharmacy at this location, only purchased and rented items through the retail store and medical supplies department. The staff here is very helpful and knowledgeable and friendly. The durable medical equipment department was exceptionally helpful when I needed a medical bed for my mom, they delivered the same day. The retail store is stocked with a wide selection of medical equipment and supplies. My only criticism of the retail store is that the prices are quite high. But since they are the only retail store selling many of these items in scv, they can afford to charge what they want. read more

Thanks to Vanessa, and the other pharmacist constantly either battling my dumb Dr. And his 2 hour waits for a script to get faxed, or my insurance always giving them a hard time, they continue to fight and get you your meds. The bad reviews about this pharmacy are totally accurate. The staff are awful. The one woman at the front counter named Rebbecca has zero customer service skills. These fools gave me the wrong prescription and did not even notice. This should be almost impossible to do if they followed normal procedures. When I got to my car I checked my prescription and found the wrong medicine. UGGGHHHHHHH! I went back and this awful woman started attacking ME. The pharmacy tech who filled my prescription called all my phone numbers on record including my work number and left messages at all of them. These people just have no idea what they are doing. I have had many dealings with this pharmacy and they have always exceeded my expectations. I have read the negative reviews from other clients and I have been thinking....are we talking about the same pharmacy??? It is so difficult for medical providers with the list of meds covered from your insurance company as each insurance company has a different list of preferred medicines. Many times the doctor who wrote the prescription must be contacted to ask if it is ok to switch to the preferred and insurance covered medication. I wish there was an automatic mechanism that defaulted each prescription to the one that is allowed by the insurance company. read more

When we first moved to the area, we were excited to be able to use this pharmacy instead of one at a big box store. The first 2 times we filled we were bery pleased. Now that brings us to the most recent. It was the 23rd, od December, i had seen my Dr. Fir an ulcer and was given 2 prescriptions to combat this. They were faxed over to Valencia at 945 in the morning. Because of the holiday weekend and my work schedule, i went to pick them up at around 530 pm. When i got there, there was a prescription ready, but not the ones I was expecting. The one that was ready was from a month ago, that I had called on several times and they kept insisting that the doctor had not sent them. Anyhow, back to my incident. When I arrived, they were adamant that there had been nothing faxed. Finally they figure out that it was in the fax, which apparently they hadnt checked for 8 hours. I didnt have time to wait some more so I paid them for the prescriptions and an extra $5 to have them delivered to my house the next day, since I would be working during their holiday business hours. Saturday comes and no delivery. So that was it, they are now closed for the holiday until Tuesday. I show up first thing Tuesday morning. They figure out that they had transposed the numbers on my house, so thats why no delivery. They had my phone number correct, so why didnt they call? I request a refund for my $5 delivery fee. After sime debate they decide they would just deduct off my co pay for my ither prescription. I wait for 30 or so minutes and then I am called to the counter. Aetna website is down, so i need to pay $197 to get my meds. I ask, like other pharmacies when this has happened before, well can you refund the money and bill the insurance when Aetna site is back up? Nope, cant do that. I have to file a claim with Aetna to get reimbursed. Oh well, i3 am in a hurry, please fill them, we are going out of town and need them. Wait another 30 minutes and finally they are done. Its now 945 and I am already late for work. Pay the $192, cause they , after much debate, deduct the $5. Leave the pharmacy and continue with my day. We wake up this morning, go to use my debit card and transaction is declined? Why, because they somehow charge my card again for thw transactions that take place last Friday? How could this happen? I dint swipe my card again for those amoumts. How could they even get my card number to apply to those prescriptions for the second time? I have now left a message before they open this morning. Lets see how they respond or if they even care... read more

Horrible experience at this pharmacy. Needed medication as directed by my doc for the night I called them and they were the only pharmacy in town with some. Spoke with the lady that answered the phone and she was very nice. She said they had the meds, so I jumped in the car and went to go get it. My experience went downhill from there. I arrived and gave my insurance info and sat in a chair for an hour and a half before someone came and told me my insurance did not cover the meds. I should mention I am 8.5 months pregnant and at that point just wanted to leave. They had two days of the meds and I needed it so I said fine. I had never taken the medication so I asked for a consult and the Director of Pharmacy, Jan came over and was extremely rude. He acted like I was really inconveniencing him and he just stared at me. I started to ask him questions as the situation was uncomfortable, but he was giving me very short answers. Needless to say, I was not comfortable using the medication after my "consult" and had to try and figure it out when I got home. I have never felt that way after leaving a pharmacy. In addition, for two days of the medication I was charged a ridiculous amount of money. They said they had a minimum and it was an absolute rip-off. So, I called another pharmacy to order the remainder of the prescription. Not only were they very helpful, but they got the medication right away. It was the EXACT medication I received from Valencia Pharmacy, but they were able to run it through my insurance. It was a fraction of the cost for a two week supply vs the two day supply I received from Valencia Pharmacy. I called the General Manager, Fred of Valencia Pharmacy to tell him of my experience and was told he was not in, so I left a message. He didn't call me back, so I called him back again 5 days later and he answered the phone. I told him of my situation and he said he would speak with someone above him and call me back on Monday which was three days later. He did not call me back, so I called him back and left him a voice mail on Thursday. Needless to say, it has been over a week and he has still not called me back. I will never use this pharmacy again and thought I should let people know how unprofessional and unresponsive they are. If they would have just gone back and run the medication through my insurance, that would have been something, but no response is unacceptable. read more

Oh boy, I am so annoyed that I didn't check yelp before I went shopping at this store. I assumed they were a very reputable company. The store is definitely stocked up very nicely and its a good place to browse. A couple guys stocking the shelves were very helpful, but the ladies at the paying counter seemed very unfriendly. However, after I bought a couple urgent items, I later realized that prices are significantly higher than other stores. Even whole foods/paycheck had a lower price. That really turned me of. Not going back to this store ever! I advise you to look around for the same item at another store. read more

Valencia Pharmacy is my go-to, one-stop shop for all my medical needs. When I call them, I always get a real live person on the phone who's first priority are my needs. They are helpful, courteous and very quick to get all my much needed prescriptions filled and ready. They even deliver and have curbside to your car service. What else could I ask for? Great employees come with the package. ..Natasha has helped me the most with complicated prescriptions and took on very difficult obstacles to fulfill my orders. Jennifer and Kim are always available to help out. Always quick and professional service when I need it. The pharmacist is also always available for consultations. If you want quick, personal attention Valencia Pharmacy will be for you...if you want to stand in line and wait for hours at other pharmacies be my guest, but when I have pain, I need to taken care of fast. I love this pharmacy! My son has asthma and they always have his medications ready for pick up before I even have to call and with my mom-brain, that's a big help. They always have a sucker for him too so it's not a chore anymore because he is more than happy to come with! They also have curbside pickup so if he falls asleep in the car and I don't want to move him, they will just bring it out. So helpful! read more

Horrible - or should I say 'absolute lack of' - customer service. Twice now I have given this place an opportunity to retain my business, and both times I had to deal with Frank. The first time he was just rude and made my purchase unnecessarily difficult. This last time, when I tried to return some gloves that were not sized correctly, instead of just apologizing and then exchanging them for another brand with a better fit, he tried to guilt me about my responsibility in the selection. For a business to employ someone who is so clueless about company products and then blame the customer for retail incompetence is beyond acceptable. I have been using this pharmacy for many years mostly for compounding prescriptions. They are one of the only places in Santa Clarita who can do it. They generally have everything in stock and are fairly quick with ordering. They have dropped the ball several times when faxing in refills to my Dr. The one place they really lack is customer service. They are not always very friendly and act as if they are going out of their way to help you. I also agree with one of the prior reviewers that they have insurance related issues. I have tried to get prescriptions there which were not due to be refilled for one day and they wouldn't refill, even if I paid cash. Even though it has been done before on several occasions, they seem to pick and choose when they want to fill it. Depends on their mood I guess. I'm taking my business elsewhere! read more

The employees are nice and friendly, the pharmacist is knowledgeable and willing to give you a consultation in tje roo they have set up just for that. To top it off, they don't make you wait forever for your prescription- you're in and out. Definitely like this place and will continue to go there. read more

Those with maintenance medication depend on a dependable pharmacy. I've used this local pharmacy for over a year, when 2 months ago something changed. The staff. The new staff can't even show a modicum of respect and that includes the "natural" section in the back of the store. The new girl doesn't seem to possess any product knowledge. 2 months ago the main pharmacy did a partial fill, since I had not called ahead. Being that it was a new prescription, I didn't think I needed to. I know what I need to call ahead for. I asked if it's normal to need to call ahead for that medication. They said no. The next month when I walked in with the hard copy. The new, very rude girl said, "we don't have it." I asked if they had any and could do a partial? She quickly snapped back, "we don't do that." I pointed out that they did it last month with the same med and she said, "well, we don't do that no more." Yes, her grammar matched her attitude. So different from when Fred was there. The whole staff then was professional, considerate and showed respect to their customers. We're not there because we have nothing better to do. read more

stay away from this pharmacy. my husband bought a blood pressure monitor for christmas from them for $70. he paid cash. it was returned right after christmas..but they said they didn't have the money to give us the money back. they said they would have to write a check and we could get it in a week. after the week passed i called to see about getting my (check) money back and they said their software was still down ( and has been for 2 plus weeks) and they would have to wait until it was fixed before issuing a check for the return. now 10 days later.. they say their software is still down so they can't give us our money back and they don't know how long it will be until the software will be up and operating. how can a legitimate business work this way. i think something is up..are they going bankrupt?? read more
