I never had to spend so much time to rectify order issues at any other McDonalds in my life except his. After finally meeting with him at his main location on Greber to discuss my bad experiences at his stores ( Constructive Criticism ) and to explain why I made complaints to head office ( which should also help him better his customer service ), he mostly disagreed with me and suggested me not to go back to his restaurants! Ouch. I even proved to him by calling with my cell that the phone number at his Alonzo Wright bridge location did not work.( Wonder Why? Can you guess ) They have a very bad average of getting orders right if you read all their complaints on many sights. He won't do anything except if you deal with an order issue right away. Good luck reaching them if you find out your order is wrong once you get home. And make sure they always give you the receipt, by law, in case you have to take it up with the head office. This franchisee's restaurant has very bad ratings not only on Google but also on Trip Advisor and many other sights. Hopefully, he takes the time to read these posts to understand our frustrations and especially to better his customer service issues. And I also expect to finally get the food I paid for in an acceptable manner with an average service being fast food.

We got a few different sausages and poutines and brought them back over to eat on the Laff's patio. It had been a long while since I had a grilled Polish sausage, so that's what I got with a little ketchup, mustard, and some chopped raw white onions. The sausage was perfect, tasty, hot, and not overcooked, just what I was craving and very satisfying. There was only one person behind the counter, a young guy who was very sweet, super fast, and we were really impressed he remembered everything we ordered. They have a small menu of your standard chip wagon fare - fries and poutine, hot dogs and sausages, pogos, and drinks, plus ice cream. Great spot that's open late (until 3am I think) for before/during/after a night out at the bars.

Now, the not-so-great part: they couldn't process any of my U.S. credit cards. That was awkward. My total was $23 CAD, so I just handed over $30 USD and told them to keep the change. Could've avoided the mess by ordering through Uber Eats (assuming you want to use a card). Bottom line: The food is worth it, but the payment situation and setup could be smoother. My husband and I got the original Smash Daddy ($13) to-go to share. It's 2 smashed beef patties, 2 slices of cheese, pickles, onions and Smash Daddy sauce in a buttered brioche bun. It was delicious. My first time having smashed burgers. I like my burgers well done, so this style is to my liking. I liked the crispy edges. The Long Version: Subway is an American chain from Connecticut, but they have lots of locations in Canada. They are pretty much in the food court of every major shopping centre. The food court at Billings Bridge is pretty sad (not a lot of selection and nothing apart from the usual chains like Tim Hortons, Manchu Wok, New York fries, etc.) and I wanted a little snack. I was going to get a soup at Subway but they told me they didn't have any soup (despite there being a big sign advertising their soup, lol), so I settled on trying their Potato Rings. I had never had them before so was excited to try something new. The Potato Rings were $2 and an order is 4 pieces. They are essentially small hash browns shaped like a ring. They were soggy and not crispy at all :( At least they were hot (temperature-wise). I asked for ketchup and they didn't even have any. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and giving them 3 stars as I'm hopeful their sandwiches are at least satisfactory. The sandwich of the customer before me looked decent. I'm glad I tried the Potato Rings to know what they are all about but I would not get them again. Haha. As of July 2026 the Billings Bridge food court is undergoing renovations so it's a bit of a mess. Service was pleasant and they were quick.
