I recently came to the Valentine Law Group to provide moral support to a friend of mine who wanted to see if she had a case against a mental health facility that had been treating her son who ended up committing suicide at the age of 27. It was a two-month turnaround, not weeks. I received second and third opinions from highly rated specialists who, in writing, which I provided to your staff, stated that the option your "expert" recommended was contra-indicated. Your staff cited the reason for not proceeding with my case as the expert concluding I could have a surgery to correct the problem. Two world-class experts who I received examinations and documented opinions from stated exactly the opposite and that the procedure recommended would not only not improve my condition, but also be harmful. This was cited as the only reason you did not proceed further: that your "expert" recommended a treatment that two other experts who have actually examined me stated would be dangerous and unproductive. In the meantime, I have suffered from a botched surgery, have problems seeing daily and persistent, nagging headaches that have forced me to reduce my workload, and therefore, income, in half. It was frustrating, to say the least, to have spent much time on the phone with your firm and retrieving and transporting documents to you only to have my case stalled based on inaccurate information and a false conclusion. I am suffering because of well-documented medical malpractice and despite my many many doctors appointments and consultations, have received the prognosis that there is no cure or help to improve my condition. To be told that your "expert" concluded that I could have surgery to improve my condition is a false conclusion that leaves me without legal representation and having to start this process all over again. read more

Kim Valentine neglects her clients. I have an importance case regarding elderly family members, and yet she refused to call me back. I was unable to speak to anyone other than the secretary and I was constantly told that she was "too busy" to call me back. Obviously attorneys are busy but it is their job to talk to clients and work on the case! My father suffered terribly while in the "care" of a skilled nursing facility in the So Orange Country area, and had to be transferred to a nearby hospital emergency room in the middle of the night due to a horrific laceration he received while there. My dad was in extreme pain and never fully recovered, and passed away several days later, never regaining consciousness. He was 97 years old. Aside from filing a formal complaint on my own with the California Department of Health against this skilled nursing facility, we really did not know where to turn.
