UPDATE (06.09.26) Despite promising they would match our existing cedar fascia, independent carpenters confirmed Valentine used a cheaper pine, which, in addition to not matching original cedar fascia, won't last in PNW. UPDATE (05.27.26) Updating our review as we are now seeing that Valentine's shoddy work includes driving nails back out through our ceiling's drywall. This has been an absolute nightmare of grift and incompetence. Misleading quotes, unprofessional finishings, clearly scaling with cheap labor since being acquired by a private equity firm, while hiding behind a previously established brand and a warranty program. UPDATE (04.28.26) +1 Star. Valentine promptly sent a team to address the fascia that was misaligned as well as restore the 45-degree miter joints where those boards met at corners. They also applied sealant along some of the flashing edges. ORIGINAL Beware: Private Equity Owned Brand Stretched Thin I relate the following with all due respect, and hold no animosity toward any individual, but I want to hold Valentine as a company to the high standard it advertises, as we did not get the quality of workmanship for which we paid. What we witnessed/recorded from the time the work was scheduled through its completion was a company scaling beyond its means through deceptive bidding and sloppy labor. This is an all-too-common story as small, locally-owned companies are acquired by larger holdings (e.g., conglomerates, private equity firms) and then squeezed to scale and increase margins. This appears to have happened with Valentine's Acquisition by Infinity Home Services in 2022. Valentine won the bid over other prospects through a lowballed quote. We asked very clearly for a "worst case scenario" estimate, including if the roof essentially had to be completely rebuilt, but we ended up more than $9K over the base estimate, which was $3K over the "worst case scenario." During the initial phase of work, we couldn't reach the foreman (who more than once stated that he was out of cell service on an island or on other job sites) nor could we get a response from his backup. This improved in the second week of the work after we raised concern. He was responsive thereafter, albeit often dismissive of our concerns. This included our concern over downspout disconnection leading to water pouring into the eaves over two days, resulting in visible water damage. This was initially dismissed as a non-issue until I sent video (screen-capture from that attached) illustrating it clearly was a problem, after which the foreman sent someone to reroute the water pouring into our roof and eaves. This lack of attention to detail upfront showed a lack of preparation or care. (We raised concerns about the unique build our roof/eaves and gutter system before the work and Valentine insisted it had decades of proven experience with these kinds of homes in the PNW.) So, our position after the work "finished" about a month ago, was that we wanted Valentine to reassess its work, ensure that water damage, sloppy or rough finishings (even just aesthetically, aside from painting), and incomplete fixes were corrected; overall, that the work was brought up to the high standard IHS has advertised to build its acquired brand. Eventually they agreed to send a team to evaluate. After that, they agreed to some fixes. While I greatly appreciate the workers who came out to address a few of the issues, we are left with rough, DIY-looking flashings and facia replacements that were not cut and caulked to match the clean miter joints they replaced--to name a few of the issues that were exacerbated by attempts to fix--not to mention those issues that went unaddressed. The issue here is clearly a lack of project management and oversight, which I would expect to be handled for a $38K composite/pvc roof job (i.e., I should not have had to remind the workers that Valentine already agreed to miter joints, etc.). Buyer beware: they're private-equity-owned and doing sloppy work behind a brand established under previous ownership.

This is what it is supposed to look like

Started 4 years ago and we are still dealing with a leaking roof. Took 2 years for them to come out and repair the ceiling in the house from the first time. Now they are saying it's my fault from a leaking chimney. The tech who was out to wrap the chimney said that Valentine did not put the right flashing on the chimney. His boss texted me (always by text never face to face or a phone call) and said that the pictures show my chimney is now leaking because it is old and has cracks. No one said anything me when they replaced the roof. Now I have a 120 yr old hose that is leaking and they are saying it's my fault.

After: March 2026

Valentine roofing was enthusiastic about doing my small project to replace the shingles on my garden shed. The estimator, office representative and onsite crew were all friendly and responsive. Price was very reasonable, and results are beautiful. I could not find any debris around when they were done. Before and after photos attached.

A Valentine mug, tea, honey stick, chocolates & a magnet - A touch of class not often seen these days!

Valentine Roofing is pretty good. CONS: * Too many people to communicate with. From initial phone call to sales rep to project manager to foreman and a couple others in between.... It's A lot of people, which tells me they have too many on the payroll. * They were the lowest bid, HOWEVER, by the end of the job (Full roof replacement) We ended up paying a bit more........Bid was $16,500 +tax but final was $23,000. * We went into the attic and found quite a bit of debris from the tear off. Shingles, etc. We've hired some insulation guys to clean it up when they come by next week to fix our insulation. PROS: * Great communication. You can call and ask questions but they preemptively call AND text you to update with any information. * They clean up the job site daily and use their own on-site toilet. * They work HARD & LONG to get the job done. It was dark out and they were still working well past 8:00 pm to finish up. * ALL employees are great, kind, professional. After the job was done, they sent us a very sweet gift. Pic attached. Thank you Valentine!

It leaked all down the street as they finally drove it away after I demanded they remove it.

They had their employees use a make shift outhouse fashioned in the back of their work trailer. It leaked all over my driveway down my front entry. They left it there for 2 weeks never cleaning it, letting the hot summer heat cook away. When I finally figured out where the putrid smell was coming from I lost it. They left the site with nails and staples litter throughout my property. They ignored my complaints. The dumped raw sewage on my property, that should say enough. See pics

In related news, I later found out that asking adding a surcharge for debit transactions is actually illegal per U.S. Federal law. Good to know. (https://usa.visa.com/dam/VCOM/download/merchants/surcharging-faq-by-merchants.pdf) You might bring this up when they attempt to do charge you for a debit card, which my agent did. They can charge up to 3% for credit cards. Nevertheless, the good folks are the office were very nice about reversing the double-charge. I am waiting to see when it comes through. Pro's - Basic work seemed to be done well and at a price that was competitive with others I contacted at least for the basic service. - Communication was prompt. - After some re-scheduling on their part, the team did the work swiftly and efficiently. - Most of the terms were clear in advance, using Yelp Projects. Con's - This is a fairly shiesty corner of the home maintenance world. Many providers seem to give you a low-ball estimate to get in the door and then upsell significantly. - Envirosmart is not an exception. - The initial quote was $200. This included scoping the ducts and doing the negative pressure clean-out. - Onsite, they then upsold me to $670 for a more thorough brushing of the vents, sanitation, and some other ancillary services. - They were only modestly well-organized. They called the day-of to reschedule because of a conflict with internal training. They also confirmed a different time than I had originally scheduled. It was the difference of a 9 to 11am original window and a 2:30-3pm arrival. - The Yelp Project communication could have been clearer. They did not specify whether they were calling to quote me or coming to do the service! Amid all this and with some clarification and flexibility on our part, we worked it out. I would have appreciated either a discount or additional service for the delay. None was proffered. I did not go ahead with the upsell as I had already gotten quotes for less from other providers with somewhat more transparent pricing. I think the work they did appeared fine. See attached pics. Your guess is as good as mine which are before and which are after! They did not specify when they sent them to me and email took off the timestamp. I'm hoping the cleaner ones. I probably will try another service when I do this again and with a higher rated provider. All in all, though, I had low expectations and those low expectations were met.

First, my work started with Tom, a great gentleman who showed up right on time, thoroughly inspected the house, gave me all the details, and walked me through the entire process with patience and clarity. He made sure I understood every step and worked hard to get me the best deal possible. His professionalism set the tone for the entire project. We then had two days of work scheduled. Both project managers, Eric and Greg, were wonderful people. They were attentive, communicative, and did their absolute best to keep everything running smoothly. I really appreciate how well they coordinated the work. The crew overall did a fantastic job -- they worked clean, were respectful of our home and space, and showed up on time every single day. You can tell they take pride in what they do. What truly sets Super Attic Solutions apart is their sense of ownership and level of commitment. They didn't just finish the job and walk away -- they followed up not once, but twice to make sure everything was top notch and that I was fully satisfied. That level of dedication and care is rare to find. You can tell this is a company that genuinely stands behind their work and treats every customer like they matter. For an $8,000 investment, that kind of commitment gives you real peace of mind. I would absolutely recommend Super Attic Solutions and will be using them again in the future. Five stars well deserved.

We chose Super Attic Solutions based on their strong BBB rating, positive reviews, and the sales pitch that emphasized thorough follow‑up and post‑project support. We received three quotes for our attic and basement work; Super Attic Solutions was not the cheapest, but the promised inspections and customer care were the deciding factor for us. The crew that performed the work was respectful, efficient, and left the space clean. However, everything that happened after they left has been the opposite of what was promised. The sales rep assured us that an "inspector" would return a few weeks after completion to verify that: No rodents had re‑entered the home All work met code Any questions or concerns would be addressed He even mentioned a 6‑month follow‑up to ensure long‑term satisfaction. None of this happened. When I asked the project manager to walk the space with the crew, he was hesitant. I'm glad I insisted -- four ceiling lights were sealed incorrectly and left hanging an inch from the ceiling. I was told an "inspector" would come fix them, so the crew left and I was left with blue tape holding up my lights. A week later, our AC wouldn't shut off. I discovered the furnace (located in the attic) had been wrapped in insulation -- a fire hazard and not to code -- and no clear path had been left for HVAC access. When I called urgently, I was asked to send photos and then told a "supervisor with tons of experience" reviewed them and everything was fine. It wasn't. I had to pay an HVAC company to confirm the hazard, and only then was I told they might reimburse up to $500 because they didn't think they could send someone out. When the "inspector" finally arrived, they were not inspectors at all -- it was two members of the original crew. They fixed the lights (well no disrespect) and removed the insulation, from the furnace just laying on the air ducts. However, as we were communicating via technology translator, I could not get any answer to any questions and was told to call the office. Since then, I've left multiple messages through their AI system and sent two emails. I have given this company over 4 weeks to uphold the customer service they say they hold themselves to and I still haven't gotten a single phone call, let alone an "inspector" to look over the work, but they my check cashed. Bottom line: The initial work was fine, but the promised follow‑up and customer care simply do not exist. Once the crew leaves, you are on your own. For the price we paid and the safety risks involved, this company is not worth the money read less

Our primary reason for choosing Northwest Crawl Space Services was their ability to provide a comprehensive, one‑stop crawl space solution. They offer the full spectrum of crawl space restoration services and can also install a sump pump system. We also used their high‑quality rodent prevention services as part of the project. Among the companies AI recommended to me, Northwest Crawl Space Services stood out with exceptionally strong customer reviews. I also browsed through some customer reviews, including a long, thoughtful one written by an older gentleman. He wrote, "Lior was our lead person for questions and he made it easy to understand, going over everything--I mean everything!" Lior is also the blogger who wrote the educational articles and the detailed, highly informative work logs on the company's website. And as luck would have it, the company assigned Lior to do our estimate. Now we can say the same thing: everything became easier because Lior stepped in with such calm, steadiness, and responsibility. On the day of the estimate, Lior told us they would protect the laundry room and the garage, and that they would do their best to complete the project to a high standard--he even said they would make our crawl space "beautiful." Our only expectation for the crawl space was basic functionality. It is technically part of the house, but the last time I went inside was thirteen years ago. This time, however, when I entered the crawl space to take photos, I had to admit that their attention to detail was truly impressive. I'm posting a few photos here--this is only a small portion of what they accomplished. The quality of the work far exceeded anything we had imagined. Considering the hours they spent in that low, dark, cold, and damp environment only deepened our respect for their perseverance. During those two days, even though the work was physically demanding, we could still feel that they were genuinely happy. This speaks both to their inherently positive mindset and to the healthy, supportive workplace culture within the company. The office staff were equally enthusiastic and provided the same high level of friendly, professional service. NWCSS is a company you can truly trust. A few days later, on a sunny afternoon, I went back into the crawl space. What I saw made me finally understand what "beautiful" truly meant. I sat there quietly, watching the interplay of light and shadow between the new floor insulation and the new vapor barriers, with the new air ducts weaving through the space in graceful lines. In that moment, the present felt eternal. Lior delivered on everything he said he would do. Highly recommend!

They're efficient and completely thorough. Shout out to the on-site project manager, Ricky Ricardo (yes, his real name, like the character from I Love Lucy, but he's a great sport about it) - who came early and stayed late to make sure we knew what was going on and were fully satisfied with the complete job, with a walkthrough and pictures of everything from end to end. Ricky is a guy who cares about a job done right and cares that the customers are completely comfortable, happy, and satisfied. Ricky came in before the crew started, walked us through how the job would go, made sure that all of our personal belongings were moved far away or protected by plastic throughout the garage and all the way through to the crawlspace access near the kitchen. The taped-up plastic "hallway" they created to prevent fiberglass and biohazard waste from leaking out into the house was going to block off part of the house, so Ricky made sure that we would have access to everything we needed, and offered to cut holes or coordinate crossings through as necessary. For the 3.5 years we've lived in this house I've been scared to even put my head down in the crawlspace, and by the end of the job I was ready to stand in there and take my own pictures of the space. Thankfully I didn't even have to take my own pictures, because Ricky organized sending me hundreds of before and after pictures from everyone on the crew. I have so many pictures now I could draw a pretty good map of my crawlspace without ever crawling through it. The price (spoiler: great!) Where other companies tried to quote for a smaller scope of work to keep costs within our budget, Attic Crew combined a completely thorough top-to-bottom job with guaranteed PSE rebates (as appropriate to our case) to meet our budget and then some. This was actually the best quote we got in two ways. First, this job was scoped to everything we wanted and more, no cutting corners. Second, it was the cheapest quote overall by about $500 thanks to PSE rebates that Attic Crew guarantees. Attic Crew takes care of the PSE rebates on their end, no paperwork for us. They included line items on the quote to show us how much we were saving from the rebates, but the sales rep, Tom, guaranteed me that even if they somehow don't qualify for the rebate from PSE, they will never charge that back to us. On top of that, they were quick to schedule the work only a week after we paid the deposit. The scope of work (extremely thorough): Removal of all old insulation and vapor barrier. Biohazard cleanout and sanitation. Crack sealing (foam, mesh, and/or cement as appropriate). Air sealing around any penetrations (vents, ducts, wires) into the house. Upgrade from 4" R-17 to 10" R-30 fiberglass insulation. Upgrade to 10-mil thickness vapor barrier. Replace dryer duct from flexible to rigid aluminum. The job was very thorough to improve our home efficiency and lock in the PSE rebates. As a bonus, they included cleanout of an abandoned rat's nest in a cabinet in the corner of the garage that the previous owner left us as a "gift" and we'd never had the equipment or PPE to properly deal with, and any rodent droppings found in the garage as well. Literally the only (very minor) issue we had was that we'd scheduled the quote on a day that turned out to be a Monday holiday. The communications were a little unclear referring to "tomorrow" rather than a specific date and ultimately they confirmed the appointment for the next business day. No harm done.

I signed up, and a day or so later I got a call to schedule the install, again, surprisingly, they could do it right away and I scheduled for about a week out.
