The Experience: We had our taxes done 2 years ago and were told someone else had filed under our social security number. The instruction we were given, was to file by paper. We waited patiently as the IRS site, "Where's My Refund," prompted us the return was received and being processed. After two years of going back and forth with All Valley Tax and the IRS, an IRS rep finally suggested we complete the 14039 Identity Theft Affidavit. I do believe having this form filed with our tax return would have accelerated the process. The Bottom Line: Before learning about the Identity Theft Affidavit, Dindi and All Valley tax were not helpful when we called for guidance. At times we felt ignored as they provided reasons for being too busy. They even shared they wouldn't help because we were no longer filing with them. The question then, if I were to be audited for 2022, would they no longer be assisting? The next question to ask is, if another identity theft situation arises, is this the quality of their protocols?

I found her page on Yelp a couple of years ago and everything was done online even before the pandemic started, so it was extremely helpful especially when I was working and going to school at the same time. Two years ago my tax was pretty simple, I was single, going to school, and I did not own any properties. But as I graduated and got older, my tax became more complicated- but her price never Changed, she charged a flat rate and I love it. Now that the pandemic hit, everything has to be done online, it even makes things more perfect since Melissa has had years of experience of doing tax online since she's been doing that for years. She's knowledgeable and responsive. Let's be real here, the statistics class is required in order to graduate from a university yet no one has taught me how to do taxes, nor what's deductible, nor the differences between state and federal taxes. Although there are many online articles about how to do you own taxes or simply to understand what tax really meant, it is still pretty confusing. The last thing I want is to get black listed by the IRS because I did my tax wrong. Would definitely recommend Melissa, thank you so much !
