Alison was patient and positive; she's a gifted teacher with an encouraging manner. So after a few months I decided I wanted to stick with the flute, in great part because my cat likes to listen. It's all about the cats, right? So I wanted a nicer flute of my own. Alison had my try many different brands and types of flutes, listening with her experience to zero in on the flute that is just right for me. The instrument and case were in impeccable condition and the staff was extremely helpful. I strongly suggest adding the insurance to your rental for $10 extra a month. His sax broke at one point and all I had to do was drop it off, get a temporary replacement and wait a week for them to fix it. Easy peasy. The return was just as easy as the rental. Now that there is new management, we had hopes for families involved and were extremely disappointed to find out that a parent of a very talented School of Rock student received an email threatening enrollment because another student accused her of "blowing" at him. The student in question is very talented and has been a part of School of Rock for 5 years. There were no witnesses to this "blowing at," and it was not captured on camera. The complaining parent stated that the girl made her son uncomfortable because the accused student is on the Autism Spectrum. School of Rock could have used this moment to educate others about neurodiversity, but did not. FYI, School of Rock had no prior instances or concerns about the talented student prior to this one complaint

It had been sitting, unloved and unwanted for a few weeks. I don't understand it- it should have been snatched up already. Pristine, US made, amazing price. But there she was, the wallflower needing a nice guy to dance with. I had to have her. The staff was great to work with. They let me use any amp I wanted, didn't hassle me on volume, even complimented a few of my licks. When it was time for purchase, they gave me a very fair trade value (exceeding the next closest GC by $150), got me out the door quickly, reminded me of the 45 day try out period, and wished me well. The Tele is a dream. I'm super happy. But this has been my typical experience with this GC location. They often have a good selection of used gear (though it's a bit sparse post the Memorial Day used gear blow out). And even when a little short staffed, they are polite.
