Poor customer service. Cheap. Rude.The lady insisted I press credit vs debit to avoid paying fees and had a problem when I wanted individual tickets when I purchased power ball and mega million tickets en route to the snow to try my luck on nye. I accidentally pressed debit because I was distracted by my daughter and she yelled at me, saying they're never selling tickets via debit anymore. No wonder it was completely empty. So .... the most bullshittiest thing happened to me today! I was returning a rental car and didn't need to fill it up so decided to add $10 to get the car back to Sac. Stopped at Valero on Chilis Road in Davis, pumped $7.50 worth of gas, 2.5 gallons, got back into the car and had 0 gas! I paid for $7.50 worth of gas and didn't get anything! Now this has never happened to be before and so I did what any rational person would do, I flipped the hell out! The gas attendant assured me that the pump was working and that I go gas! Really dude! Really! No I didn't get ANY GAS! It's not the $7.50 it's the principle! I paid for 2.5 gallons of gas and didn't get anything! The cashier gave me $15.00 but would not give me lotto ticket, I asked for receipt. He grabbed it and would not let me have it. I asked him to give me the ticket. I went there to buy some water. Went to use my Phones Applepay and they guy gave me shit saying I should have my card on me. Then after "graciously" allowing me to use Applepay said there was a $3 minimum so I'd have to buy more. I didn't and left wishing him a great day . I use Applepay everywhere and have never had an issue or a $3 minimum at any gas station. Basically if you are going there for something small don't bother and don't expect customer service. It's like they don't want you to be a customer. Plus there are 3 other much nicer in terms of staff and layout gas stations within 50ft. Won't be going there again. read more

I used to always go here since it was cheaper than the other gas stations around. However, now I only go to the Chevron that's about 30 seconds away. I used to be a chemist for Chevron so I now just biased about whose gas is better. Plus, Chevron has a better looking logo. The pavement and staff at Chevron is also nicer. read more

Up until that new gas station opened next to McDonalds, this place had the lowest gas prices around (and they are still pretty low). I come here often for late night weekend snacks with my Goddaughter, and come here a couple of times during the week for gas. All of the people who work here are nice....and patient. I see so many people give them shit because they (the customers) don't know how the lottery works, how to read price tags, etc....and they still maintain positive customer service. They always recognize me, and make just the right amount of small talk. So definitely recommend going here, to save money, get good (albeit unhealthy) snacks, and to support the staff. Gas seems to be good quality here. The price is always lower than others in the area. I have never known of any crime problems here - but this place is built like they are sure robbers are coming. Really bad experience :( I stopped in the little market while gassing up looking for hand wipes - normally have some in the car with me but ran out and I wanted to clean my hands after getting gas n touching money paying for stuff. The store is dinky and they have really random junk ( one of each item so it's hard to tell if it's stuff on sale ) hanging out in the shelves in no real order. I couldn't find wipes so I asked the lady n she showed me where they had single serve packs for 1.99 so I didn't get it. When I went up to pay for my iced tea she asked me "no wipes?" And I shook my head. Then she COUGHED into my hand as I took back my change!! I was so thoroughly disgusted and I had to delay my long 5hr drive further to go wash my hands of the filth. What the heck lady???? Basic common sense not to cough into a customers hand! Cover your mouth! Ugh. read more

If I need gas, I usually come to this Valero gas station in South Davis. Prices are reasonable, and usually lower or the same price as the former Spirit Gas Station (located next to Valero.) read more

Be careful. The price posted on the tall sign is for cash purchases only. If you pay by credit card the cost goes up automatically.

The staff here is very nice! They are friendly and always have a smile on their faces. Chevron & Shell do not provide the same customer service these guys do, plus where else am I gonna get my blue mountain beer? read more

Cheap and easy, but a bit of a full and dark asmosphere. It is conviniant to stop by on lunch breaks to grab a quick drink.

This place is horrible. The employee have the font care attitude. They wrote on the credit card machine that a minimum 3$ purchase for credit. I get $3.28 worth of crap, and guess what they still charge me the 35 cents. When I asked the employee, he said that the machine is broken and he can't do anything about it. read more

I walked into the gas station main shop on 28 May 2015 at about 10:15am and asked for $20.00 worth of gas. I was charged $20.50. The attendant told me that I would receive $20.50 worth of gas. I pumped my gas and it stopped at $20.00. I asked for the additional $0.50 that was not used and they told me that there was a fee for using my card to pay for gas, even though the attendant initially told me I would get the full $20.50 value of gas, and the fee was never mentioned. The supervisor said he was willing to check the surveillance video. I did not mind waiting. He then kicked me out of the gas station. Do not trust this company. I reported this to Valero headquarters and they told me to speak with Mike Howard. He told me I could purchase a copy of the surveillance video to prove I was not lying, then he called me an idiot and never provided me with the tape. Disresectful, dishonest, and run by thieves. read more
