Do not go here if you pre-pay inside! Some of the cashiers working here are extremely inattentive. I asked for thirty dollars as a pre-pay on one pump, the cashier charges it to another pump where another vehicle is stationed at. When I corrected him to put it on the correct pump, he did not cancel the pre-pay on the previous pump, did not hand me any receipt, and double charged me. He seemed either high on drugs or trying to scam people. Just putting this out there to warn other folks. read more

What's there to say? They have pumps and they have gas. I didn't go in side the mart or use the bathroom so I can't rate that area but there's gas and it does what it needs to do. I did read after the fact that they have credit card skimmers and it's a scam but I'll be the judge of that once we check our statement. read more

Beware, many foods and drinks at this store are past their "best by" dates. I've recently had bad experiences with Diet Pepsi 2L bottle (4 months past BB date, odd flavor) and a box of Triscuit crackers (5 months past BB date, stale). My fault for not looking at dates before purchase, but I thought I could trust a major company like Chevron. read more

This gas station in mini Mart is very sad. Gas is overpriced, as compared to other stations in the area. And the store is really a bit of a dump. You'll want to wear gloves if you're going anywhere near the bathroom. And the bathroom is part of a Chinese restaurant which is oddly attached to the mini-mart. read more

Their pumps? Slow. Customer service? Forget about it! They are ALWAYS rude, even when I try to be pleasant. The store looks dirty, and if that isn't bad enough- the clerk smelled bad enough that I could smell him from my side of the counter, and there was plexiglass! I've been here more than a few times, and they are always rude. Always. I tell myself it's just because the location is more convenient to get in and out of before getting on the 80 but that won't matter- I'll go to the shell down the street, get great service and have a great experience before I ever come back here. read more

Scammers and price changers, they advertise one thing on the shelf and charge you a different price at the counter, beware of this when you shop here at the the mini mart, they will also charge you $2.75 for cash back, and will not refund your money for untouched purchases, stay away from this place and go elsewhere. This store is also filthy and needs a lot of cleaning, the Chinese restaurant is very nice with great Foo.. it is the gas station mini mart you need to stay away from. read more

This is the worst Chevron I've ever been to. I've lived in this town for 20 years and it has always been horrible. Everything from the pumps, the credit card machines, to the car wash to the windshield wiper station is always broken. The lines are long. Always. read more

Like others have mentioned, the pumps credit card reader was broken for me. I kept getting "network error" on the display after entering my zip code. I went inside to pay and they said it's cash only inside and credit cards are only accepted at the pump. After giving the man $60 to fill up on diesel (advertised was $2.85/gallon), I went and proceeded to pump. To my surprise this pump in the between all the other pumps was not Chevron! It was called "Fast and Easy" or something and had a small fine print saying "Not Chevron diesel". My jaw dropped. I've never heard of that brand but it was significantly cheaper at $2.35/gallon. Hope it doesn't screw up my car! I went back in to get my change and it took 10 minutes because the cashier did not know what to do. He went to get, who I presumed to be the owner, a lady from the attached Chinese restaurant to help him. No more. Not coming back to this location again. read more

Yikes. This car wash sucks. I paid for an express wash after getting gas so I could enjoy the discount....waste of time. The wash was pathetic, and it just sprayed water on my car without soap or anything. I specifically asked for a soft touch wash, so I expected the cloth cylinders to scrub my car. They didn't. I went inside and told the cashier that the car wash had malfunctioned. She was super helpful and allowed me to go back through the wash again. She must have upgraded my wash, because this time, there was soap and foam and all kinds of stuff. But again...only water, and the addition of soap. No scrubbing, or hard water spray, or anything. Even after the second time through, I have smudges and dirt on my car. Ugh. Bummed. read more

I was just driving back from the Emerald Bowl and needed another cup of coffee, not to mention filling up my gas tank. Since I knew this was right off the freeway I stopped off and proceeded to pump at $1.77 a gallon. While my car was taking it's fill of gasoline, I ran inside for some coffee. Again, I made my usual concoction of coffee/vanilla cappuccino and since it was a little lukewarm, I nuked it in the microwave that was right next to the coffee machines. Two minutes and my coffee blend was soooooo hot, it was still warm once I reached Sacramento. A quick stop off the freeway, clean, the clerk was probably a student at UCD and I'm all about education: a nice well-lit gasoline/convenience store for a long-distance driver such as myself. read more

If I were looking to invest in a moneymaking venture in Davis, I'd open up a shabu joint, because that ish is delicious. If that didn't pan out, I'd rent out a chunk of space across the street from this gas station and set up my own. The pumps break while in use. The card machine is always down. The car wash doesn't work properly and nearly dented my car before sending me on my way without rinsing off the soap. The gas is exorbitantly expensive compared to pretty much everywhere else in Davis. And the employees have a lovely habit of giving you the side eye when you say that "insert gas station equipment" isn't working. I try to avoid this place at all costs, because both the Arco on Russell and the Arco near Target are dimes cheaper, and yet I keep fooling myself into going back. It's pretty apparent that they stay in business by virtue of geographic monopoly - the nearest gas station is on the other side of the overpass. For those of us living in South Davis, that one is a little too far away and similarly priced to justify the trip. One silly little star for being the only gas station I drive by on my way to the freeway on-ramp. read more

I've been here multiple times now to fill up and almost every time there's a pump that isn't working, and chances are there isn't a sign on it. Doesn't seem like that's a big deal to the managers. The one upside so far is that if you gas up you can go in and ask for them to turn on the air/water machine and not have to put coins in it if you need air in your tires. read more

I find the gas at this Chevron to be one of the cheaper places in davis, but don't expect to get any service from the cashier inside. They are about as helpful as talking to a wall. The fast & easy mart sells a variety of things - hats, cell phone chargers, slushies - you name it! But it seems a dirty inside if you know what I mean - I found dust on top of some of their items and some of which were even two years expired! As for the gas station itself, no complaints when gas is decently priced. But the car wash is never working whenever I need to use it :( read more

Just a simple gas station. It's located right by I-80 which is really nice. Some of the credit card machines are ridiculously slow, so it's better to go in if you can. This place is decently priced compared to other places in Davis. It's not the cheapest, but not the most expensive either. There's a Chinese restaurant next door if you want to eat and then get gas. read more

I love it when a gas station sells random stuff. Think of a combination between a 7/11 and a smoke shop -- paradise, no? Knives, cigarette rollers (but no tips?), papers, rolling tobacco, slurpies, energy drinks. There's even a Chinese restaurant attached to the side. Quentin Tarantino would be proud. Gas is decently priced and the station is conveniently located next to I-80...and Wendy's and Del Taco. Easily my favorite gas station in Davis. read more

Fast and Easy? I think not. Ridiculously unreliable would be a better title. I have to cross my fingers whenever I drive into here because the machines have problems 50% of the time. The only reason I pump gas here is because it's on the way home and I'm accustomed to how the machines work (if they work). This may not be the owners' fault, but they do not bother warning their customers ahead of time if the pumps don't work or if the machine's not charging credit at the moment. There is no sign on these indicating all of these issues when they occur. Thus, I have to run different scenarios in my head to avoid disappointment: - If I drive up to the pump, realize on my own there's a problem, then drive to another pump. ugh, annoying. - If another pump fails on me, I give up and question the owners (and I want as little human interaction as possible). - If one doesn't work and I stand there confused, only luckily will the owner just happen to notice me and tell me through the intercom that all the stations don't work. I scoff as I see another car pull into a different pump, not met with the intercom right away. - And don't pump your tires here because the hose leaks. I lost a lot of quarters for this. I calmly told this to the owners, and after they comprehended what I was saying, they sort of giggled and brushed it off. No "sorry for the inconveniences," or "we'll fix that right away!" but a "you should go to Jiffy Lube" instead. - Be careful if there is a large truck at a station. It will most likely block either of the two entrances, and if you're in the wrong direction, you pretty much have to do a U-turn somewhere along Research park or Del Taco to get home. It would be nice if the owners asked the drivers to move (because there is ample space) and not create a blockade! PUT A SIGN, JEEZ! It'll be easier for the customers and you! 1 star for the gas I guess. read more

Not so fast and not so easy. Every pump was full with a waiting line due to demand, not their fault, but they had to ask everyone to turn off their pumps because the gas was pumping out so slow. In 5 min we only got a half gallon of gas! Whatever they did then worked because when the pumps went back on the gas was flowing freely again. read more

Conveniently located right before the freeway (unlike the shell that's AFTER the freeway entrances). Annoying people trying to sell you car cleaning supplies while you try to pump gas appear every so often.. Air and water is not free here (like it should be according to CA state law!). read more

WARNING! DO NOT USE A CREDIT OR ATM CARD HERE! I drove into this station at just after 10 am to fill my tank to drive home to So Cal. After swiping my card and entering my PIN at the pump a message comes on the screen that says Pay Inside. So I walk in and the clerk named Waseen tells me I have to tell him how much gas I want. I have no idea how much it will take to fill my tank so I ask for $35. I swipe my card, choose credit and he says my card is declined, try again. I swipe again and choose debit, enter my PIN and he says, sorry your card is declined. By now I'm mad. I go out to my car, check my account and everything is fine, in fact I had just had breakfast across the street. So I head back in and pay cash. Feeling a little weird about the way my transaction went down and quite dubious, I wrote all the details of it down including the clerks name. My card worked fine for gas and meals during the 500 mile drive home. The next day I receive an email from my bank about a suspicious transaction on my card at 1:07 pm. (I was half way home by this time). The creep Waseen tried to charge my card $35! I will be filing a grievance with the Better Business Bureau and post reviews on as many sites as I can find to warn people so this doesn't happen to anyone else. I will also be contacting the owner of the station and Chevron corporate to let them know what happens there. If I could rate this station 0 stars I would. read more

Beware of cc skimmers here, use cash or drive across I-80. Gas pump closest to Carl's Jr is probably a skimmer, possibly the cc reader inside also. I have had 2 credit cards cloned in 3 yrs, this place was suspect location in both instances and a 50% probability being culprit most recenty in May 2017. Pump refused my card and made me go inside to pay. Only used it here and online vendor secure website. A week later a physical card being used in LA. I'm staying away. read more

This business is a SCAM!!!! Their outside signs are very deceiving!! EVEN WHEN YOU BUY A CARWASH YOU DO NOT GET THE -.20 discount per gallon, instead they offers a $1 off discount of your whole sale (including the carwash)!!!!!. You save more money the advertised way, hence the only $1-$2 discount. It's disappointing to go in to this place to hear the man say "oh well." to their discrepancy, Cut me off and ask how much gas I want as if I'm going to stand for their lies. This place has the gassiest gas in town! It's a bummer that they try plotting with their deceitful signage. The left side (the cheaper number) is 20 cents cheaper ONLY if you buy a car wash too. While driving in Davis, I see a sign with two prices - $3.79/gal (cash) and $3.99/gal (card). 20cents difference sounded like a good deal to me. So I walked in and the two employees confirmed with me I could pay the $3.79 cash price if I paid cash. And so, I did. Then I noticed the pump was still charging me the full price $3.99. I did some calculations with the amount of gallons and amount charged, and they did NOT charge me the $3.79 cash price! I questioned why they didn't charge me the cash price. They said I needed to get a car wash to get cash price, which they did NOT mention when I spoke with them in person. What a bunch of liars. A warning to those who get gas in Davis - DO NOT FALL FOR THIS! Go to your nearby ARCO to get the true, advertised gas price. This place is a scam! read more

I am a frequent customer of this gas station and have many positive and negative things to say about this station. Postive The gas prices are extremely cheap at this station with Safeway rewards. The gas pumping area is relatively clean and easy to maneuver in and out of the pump spaces. There is a Chinese restaurant attached to this station making it a convenient rest stop for those coming in and out of town. Negative I never realized how shady this station is until a problem came up. They offer 20 cents off per gallon of gasoline with a car wash purchase so I decided to get a car wash. To my surprise, the car wash damaged one of my tail lights and the business owner wouldn't compensate for any damages. I tried to negotiate a compensation just for the part without labor and they still refused. Just to clarify, I drive a relatively new BMW and verified with the BMW service department that there weren't any recalls on my specific tail light before writing this review. The dealer was happy to replace my tail light for me, but it cost me over $500. All in all, this station will not take responsibility for ANYTHING that happens to your car, so be aware of this before pumping gasoline or getting a car wash. read more

This Chevron is disgusting. There is always at least one or more pumps that are broken. The pumps are old, the station is old. Everything really stinks here. It should get its Chevron license revoked, seriously. This is bad press for Chevron. The windshield wipers are really bad. The solution is just water. Shady characters abound here as well, so watch out. read more

I used to get my gas here. the service is not so good. recently they pulled off the tab that holds the gas pump while pumping gas while other stations. most of the time they have only one staff person who manages the whole station and sometimes the wait is little long when going to the counter since the staff person was not at the counter or inside the shop to help. read more

Surprised by all the bad reviews! We stopped here a couple times; once for propane exchange and one time for some smokes and beer. The staff was super nice and friendly. Its clean inside and they have a large selection of drinks. No complaints here. read more

This is the 2nd time I've used the free car wash coupon that comes every quarter. For the Spring quarter, there are two free car wash coupons. So for my second time going through that carwash, I still have to say that the drying mechanism is inefficient and not idiot proof. So for the drying mechanism, there is a countdown timer starting from, I think, 70 seconds. So this time, I slowly drove up to the dryer. I drove slow, the dryer is blowing all of the water from the hood of my car, then my windshield, but wait, I still want it to be dryer! Reverse direction, 30 more seconds to get the rest of my car dry. Move forward... 30 seconds... what?... the dryer stopped! I only got the front of my car dry! I really don't know how to get my car completely dry using their dryer. Luckily, I have another coupon! read more

I'm in here all the time. The staff are friendly and helpful - most of them know what I want before I even tell them, The selection in the store is great (typical high C-store prices, but lots of choices). The coffee is hot and fresh and the store always appears clean. Not the cheapest gas in town but I have seen them within a penny of AM/PM in the past. After a recent upgrade they now offer (non-Chevron branded) biodiesel and ethanol as well as the standard Chevron gasolines. A new carwash was also recently installed. read more

The chevron is in a great location with plenty of fast food restaurants around to support it, but when it gets really crowded, it's hard to find a spot at the pump because there is barely any room to maneuver. Oh and this is the first time I've seen TV at the pump...uhh really??? Haha. It was awesome! read more

There's usually not much of a wait at all at this Chevron location, in terms of getting gas. It's really close by if you're in South Davis, and the prices in Davis are cheaper than other big cities. The water you use to wash your windows are never clean, so that's a bit of a letdown. The service itself isn't that great since they don't really seem to want to talk to you - it's the least they could do. They don't really give out much information about the car wash either, so you're left to a little flier to make your decision. It's definitely not a fancy car wash either because it's ALL water (I think they coined it no-touch wash or something). Other than that, it's just a normal Chevron where you get gas. read more
