At first they had the 2 cost scheme for gas if you paid cash or credit, but it seems that they have done away with that and now it is the same low cost for either cash or credit. The mini mart inside is the "express" part - coffee, sodas and the like are available at gas station prices... so you won't be getting a bargain but it is convenient. Pretty good gas prices and since the place is nice and new, it is very clean.

I have been to other gas stations that charge you the cash price if you use your debit card. For some reason they do not do that here so be aware. The employees here are very nice and friendly. They have you in and out in a jiffy. From what I have seen, the price of gas per gallon is usually pretty high however it is the same in comparison to the gas station down the block. They always seem to be open....might even be a 24 hours place. Gastrac also services cars but I haven't seem all too many cars in the shop. Their primary business seems to be the gasoline. They have a tiny shop but I never walked in so I'm not quite sure what they sell.

There is no surcharge for the full service and the now standard $0.10 upcharge for credit cards which they take. Staff is friendly - they must take your credit card back to the office to run it as the pumps do not take credit cards the plus is that you don't need to remember your zip code for the credit card you are using, also since they do not "authorize" your card in advance you will not have (more for debit card uses) a significant hold placed on your account what you pump is what you pay the downside is that your card is out of your control and vision. Keep tabs on your statement and you will be fine. They only have 4 pumps, which means only 8 cars but a nice large parking lot and they also have a convenience store on premise which I have not enter and will review at another time.

I use my credit card all the time so I don't need to walk inside at all. I get the receipt right in the station and complete my transaction in no time at all.

I use BP stations exclusively to fill a number of cars a few times a week. I have the BP rewards…read morecard, 15 cents off a gallon. The 15 cents off is based on the cash price as this is their card and not a random credit card and is consistent discount regardless of station. All BP's that I have stopped at do just that, reprice the cost of the gallon at the pump of the cash price minus 15 cent per gallon discount. Not so at this location. This station discounts the credit card price as the owner claims that I used a credit card, regardless that it is the BP REWARDS card so he in essence is skimming off 15 cents per gallon on every gallon sold when someone uses the BP rewards card. So, as and example cash $3.50 Credit $3.65 using the rewards card the 15 cents off should reduce the cash price to $3.35 He instead reduces the credit price by 15 cents so the station benefits and keeps the 15 cent per gallon discount times the volume of fuel sold. I confronted him about it and gave a bulls**t explanation as to how he figures the discount should work. He knows exactly what he's doing and is ripping off everyone who uses the BP rewards card AND....has the brochures on the pump to sign up. Reported to the local BBB and corporate BP.

This is a large gas station, with self serve pumps. As a rule, their price is higher than other…read moregas stations in the area. The location, just southeast of SUNY Stony Brook and Stony Brook University Hospital is a very convenient location. One time, while I was getting gas, a woman came to me and said she could fix a star in my windshield for free. Ok, I'll bite, how free was this? She then asked me for my insurance information, and I asked why. She replied that that is who she bills for services. My response is that, "You said it was for free". She said, "Well, you don't have to pay for anything out of pocket." I thanked her and said no. Why would the gas station allow this misleading company there? I had chosen other local gas stations to use in the future.
