He took the time to troubleshoot it rather than immediately recommending replacement. After determining that the gas control valve was failing, he explained the options and recommended replacement because of the age of the unit. He installed a new 50-gallon State water heater, replaced the necessary connections and venting, removed the old unit, and pulled the City of Stockton permit. He was responsive, knowledgeable, and kept me informed throughout the process. I especially appreciated that he explained what he was seeing and answered my questions instead of pressuring me into a decision. What a great pair!!! We recently bought a beautiful but OLD home and we are finding lots of renovation, maintenance and repair projects that will need to be addressed. That said, we feel super fortunate to have found Valice Plumbing. They were the first to answer our calls for help replacing a running toilet. Not only did they answer almost immediately, but they came out that same day! They replaced the toilet beautifully, with great attentions to the details --making it look perfect and new. About a week later we noticed a puddle around the bottom-what?! Turns out there was a tiny chip in the tank portion-definitely caused by delivery. Valentine came that same day again, and his son was able to adjust the water level to be below the chip, which allowed us to keep using the toilet while we waited for the replacement tank. Then, when the tank arrived they came right out and switched it out in no time, cleanly and quickly--NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! Valentine has saved me hassle and headache so many times. I live in a old house, a lot of plumbers wont even touch it. Valentine has done so much here, fixed the kitchen sink, added a clear out in my back yard, replaced my toilet, fixed kitchen faucet, when i first moved in i had a lwak ao bad my basement had a foot of water. Service request was for a clogged plumbing issue. Quoted price was $185 but after finding out the problem and doing the external outside fix it was $1100. They had to replace piping outside for the clean out so it could access both the first and second floor. This privately owned and operated plumbing service could not have provided better service. The owner Valentine Navorro and his son Enoch responded to our service request on the same afternoon I initially called. We had three separate plumbing issues. They addressed all three in one visit. First, we needed to install a hot water recirculating pump in our home. It was taking too much time for hot water to reach our kitchen sink. The installation of a recirculating pump which I purchased at Lowe's was the perfect solution. The installation required a new shut off valve under the sink which was diagnosed and done. The second project was to solve the issue of banging water pipes when our front loading LG washing machine was running. I thought this was going to be a huge project. But thanks to the experience of plumbing professionals, it was easily solved with the installation of two water hammer arrestors located on the shut off valves directly behind the washer. The third repair was the cleaning out of the aerators on our double sink master bedroom vanity. A special tool was required. Once completed, normal water flow was restored to both sinks. This rating is strictly based on phone/ estimate experience. I did not end up using this company, so I cannot comment on whether they do good work or not. First off, super nice on the phone and the gentleman who answered assured me someone would be out to the house in about 30 minutes. The tech showed up in a timely manner and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. The price for parts and a15 minute fix seemed a little pricey, but I get it, things costs a little more in emergency situations. I had another person coming out for a quote and was about to cancel because I just wanted it done. My next question changed my mind. I asked if they took credit cards and the tech said "yes, for a fee". Ok, it cost money to run credit cards and even though it technically is illegal to charge fees for use since last year, if billed as an admin fee, companies can get away with it. I asked how much, he pauses for a bit and says $20.... a twenty dollar charge to use a cc? That's a 10% charge on a repair! I asked why the charge was so high and he just chuckled. I think considering how expensive repairs are, people aren't going to have hundreds of dollars laying around and would need to use a cc. I started to feel a little weird about the transaction so I waited for the second company, which I ended up going through. I'm sure this company does great work, but after possibly spending hundreds of dollars, I think it is ridiculous to charge an additional large fee to use a cc. read more

I had a break in plumbing in my back yard and it was flooding fairly quickly. We turned off the water and called several places. Noone was available for that day except this place. The man on the phone spoke with me and stated there would be no charge for coming and giving us a quote and no obligation. I needed someone that day so I said yes, a young man come. In guessing, it was the son of the owner. We dug the hole found the leak and he told us he would charge $250 for a freaking cap. The other other solution, would be to move the sprinkle pipes over, since it was right by a tree stump. So later if we remove the stump it would not happen again. That was a $420 charge. He said if we didn't do any of the work there would be a $120 charge for coming out. I wanted my water back on and agreed to fix it right way. Paid the $420 but the moron did not fix the problem. He just capped it about one yard out. It took him 20 mins for the whole job. That man has some serious communication problems. What he explain to us was NOT at all the job he performed. Instead we paid for a cap that probably cost $2. When people are in dire need, I hate when other people take advantage. It's just wrong. read more

I had a clogged something. I had no idea I just knew I needed a Plummer. I was scared to call a plumber because I thought it was going to cost me an arm and leg. Well valentine came and got straight to it he had to go up the roof and unclogged it thru there because I have no clean out line so that was extra charge whitch I totally understand. I recommend him 100% I think he is responsible with pricing. I payed 250. Like I said it would have been 150 but he had to go to the roof and that was 100 extra which I understand.
