I learned a lot of techniques in my short visit that directly improved my jiujitsu. If you want to learn leg locks, go to the advanced no gi classes that they offer. 2. Culture. Everyone is welcoming and willing to help. I am a smaller guy and I appreciate when a gym has people my size across all ranks. The blackbelts will roll with you and answers questions and shares techniques (I got to train with James and Damon) All classes are well attended and there's 20-40 people on the mats. 3. Clean facilities. I like tatami mats. Everything was clean and the facility as a whole was spacious!

Master Seung is great! Our children have been at the studio for a month now and love the classes…read more They are pushed hard, but not so hard to break anything. This is their fourth teacher so we have good experience making comparisons. As parents we appreciate the cohesion that a pure martial art provides compared to the mixed martial arts they were learning last. Their previous teachers were good, but we never got the sense that the kids' skills were building up from basic to advanced. With Master Seung, we can already see them establishing good foundations early and understand what they will be learning inside of each belt level. That learning includes basic Korean words which make perfect sense as you learn TaeKwonDo. The school gets slower in summer and we were lucky to start on a one year contract during the sales period. We even got a twin discount to make the classes more affordable, but they are still higher than last school. A standout behavior is that the teachers expect respect, but they also show their students a lot of respect in return. You don't always get that with a martial arts studio which we found out the hard way.
