Don't waste your time or money. I went into this school with high hope's and every excited to start…read moretraining for HVAC. Not even a month into it and I was regretting and dragging my feet to in everyday. My 1st instructor taught use more about his personal life then the actual subject. Didnt follow the way he was supposed to teach us whiched caused a big issue for those who were going to go into the next class. He passed everyone regardless. Had a motor project and passed us all even though none of us got the motor to work. He didnt really even try to get it running. You don't learn in the traditional way. You don't learn from A-Z. They will throw you in wherever the class is currently at. So you maybe learning the very end of the book before you even learn the beginning of the book which is bad if you are completely new to the subject and don't have any knowledge or experience. You don't jump into HVAC right away which is normal. You'll be doing electrical theory but my instructor didn't even go over HVAC electrical. I was learning more how to be an electrician then HVAC technician. Once I got into HVAC I was told in was going to take my certification test at the end of that month. Which is beyond stupid. They gave me a study packet to help prepare me for the test. By the time I had to take the test I failed of course but wasnt worried. Was told i had 3 attempts to take the test. The very next day after I took the 1st test i was told to take it again, and again I failed. The day after the 2nd test I was told to take it again and use the study packet because the head of the campus wants us to pass. Probably to give him a bonus or something like that. Well I'm not going to pay them to cheat on my future. I tried to talk them but the head of the campus "wasn't in today". I tired to call and kept going in to talk to him about why they wanted me to cheat. But kept getting the same response. I called them and told them I was dropping out because the cheating was the last straw. Then it seemed like they actually cared about my problem. I finally got calls back from the school and told them why I was leaving but the lady seemed not to really be paying attention and wanted me to go in and sit down with the head of the campus. I wasn't going to waste my time with them anymore. Said in was going to go in but didn't. I told them about it and they didn't seem to care until I left.

My experience here was amazing my counselor helped my out threw every step of the way !!read more

Hey Everyone!!!! OMG…read more- so today I had to re-exam to renew my CNA license. Which was a bummer, because I did not know how to obtain the correct CEU's. I was so nervous, because I haven't took this state exam in 2 years, and I did not know if it was going to be with others, a large size class or anything... just going in blind. I remember when I had took my exam 2 years ago for the first time, I was with my classmates. However, I got here very early. I was the first to arrive. Later, I was greeted and welcomed by a beautiful nice woman name Mrs. Drusilla. She opened up at Vasco Career College, and she then opened the for for me and told me to come inside to have a seat. I was so nervous you guys, and she was very nice it sort of soothed my demeanor. I then checked in with her to begin my written exam first, I explained to her how nervous I was and this was for my renewal. She literally turned to me and looked in my eyes, and stated, " you will be fine ". I honestly felt like this was a sign from god. I then took my exam, in a very quiet room, she went over everything for me in full detail. The rooms were spacious, clean and organized. After, it was time to take my skills exam. Again, y'all, very nervous and I sat in another room, (room C ), while another student finished their skills exams. Once, this student was close to finished, I was asked to be the patient for them. I was introduced to my Proctor, she was so sweet and pleasant. Her name was Mrs. Bella, she reminded me of a sweet family member you just hug when you see them. After, I helped the other student, it was my turn, my pulse was going a 1000x per sec. She told me to calm down, again, nice and pleasant. I finished and felt so good about my outcome with taking both my exams here just due to their personalities and how nice they were. This helped me in ways they will never know I needed, just them being kind. I have not received my results yet, or do not know if I passed, but I wanted to share with everyone a great place to come take you exams and also.... * As I was leaving, Mrs. Drusilla heard me state I was renewing my CNA license and she informed me on next time, what to do in order to receive my continuing education credits, to qualify for approval from California Department of Health. THEY HAVE A WEBSITE, www.cnabase.com ONLINE, and they offer the in person CEU's in person at their school. You guys I could have cried right there. Renewing my license was the hardest thing ever for me, and I felt like it should have not been. I asked everyone and no one could give me the correct information on where to go or how to obtain your continuing education credits. So, I want to share with everyone so they do not go through what I went through, the panic, stress, and anxiety on having to take the state exam over.... you can take these CEU's with them!!! DON'T WALK, RUN TO THEIR CAMPUS.. THEY OFFER SEVERAL OTHER CLASSES AS WELL, CHECK THEM OUT!!!!

I took the evening class because that's the only way I was able to attend class while juggling with work and being a mom. My instructor Bianca was amazing! She guided me and encourage me to do my best especially when I was close to taking my NHA exam. Bianca provided all the resources that I needed when it comes to my assignments, labs, and my exam. After graduating from the program, I was assigned to a clinic for my externship and my instructor also have been keeping in touch with me while I was in my externship. I couldn't have done all of this if it wasn't for my instructor and Mrs. Dru who also went above and beyond, most especially she was so happy for me that I was able to complete my externship. I highly recommend enrolling in Vasco Career College for anyone who is starting out in the medical field.

This dysfunctional company is by far the WORST. If you are considering doing business with them I…read moresay DO NOT use them they are HORRIBLE! I started the process over a year ago speaking with Lynn Orr. She was a recruiter. She was nice and I thought she did a good job getting me enrolled and ready to start with MTS. My scheduled start date was a few weeks away. Time flew by, and with just 2 days away from when I was supposed to start I had not heard from Lynn or the MTS. I called and was told that Lynn quit her job abruptly. Gee I wonder why? So I spoke with another recruiter who basically said I fell through the cracks. 2 days later I started the training. The classroom training was terrible! We watched a Zoom Meeting with a trainer who I could not understand as the sound quality was bad! On day 2 we had a different trainer and I could understand her better. But the training was her giving the answers to the upcoming DMV test. Over 200 answers. I asked her, how am I supposed to know this material if we never went over it? She said "well by giving you the answers you can start to understand" After the 2 days we were told that we were ready to go to the DMV and take the Permit tests. I was kind of shocked, but I did go to the DMV and I passed the tests to get a Permit although I felt I had very little comprehension of the material but I was good at cramming in the answers I guess? Next was the behind the wheel training which was scheduled for the following week. I reviewed some paperwork which indicated that I had to have the physical / drug test before I could do any behind the wheel driving. I called the office irritated that they did not catch this. I brought it to their attention, and then I had to go for the physical / drug test. Then I had to wait another week for the results. This set me back! After the results I met with my driving instructor named Vang. He gave me a script to follow for the pre-trip inspection. The driving part was easy for me as I had previously driven many large vehicles such as a motorhome pulling a boat so I was comfortable and did well with that part. But the hardest part is to demonstrate the pre trip inspection with a DMV examiner. I failed the pre trip demonstration 3 times, so I did not even make it to a road test. The examiner each time told me I omitted some required items, such as actually saying that I was measuring the tire pressure with a commercial tire pressure gauge, and measuring the tire tread with a commercial tire tread measuring gauge. I had simply followed the script that Vang gave word for word. I said and the tire pressure needs to be this psi, and the tread depth has to be this. Apparently not using the correct verbiage can be a reason to fail the test. The examiner said that I did not mention the onboard camera for monitoring, I said my trainer never mentioned that at all. When I failed the Air Breaks portion which is an automatic fail, it was because of the verbiage that I did not say correctly. Although I was following the script provided by Vang. I went into the DMV and complained to a Supervisor. I was with Vang, the DMV Supervisor pulled out the Commercial Truck Drivers California Handbook, and showed both of us the actual verbiage that must be stated otherwise it is a fail. This verbiage was not in my script!!! I finally passed on my 4th attempt, although I had to go back to the DMV and re-take the permit tests because after 3 fails they take away your permit. I only passed on the 4th attempt because I used the correct verbiage provided to me from the DMV not MTS. In conclusion, if you can find another trucking school to go with, trust me you will do yourself a huge favor. These people are scammers in my opinion! DO NOT USE MTS TRAINING ACADEMYAINING ACADEMY!!!!!
