06/16/26- After weeks of searching and creating a "Tint Project" here af Yelp, finally decided to go with Vallejo Tint Shop! And this shop was not even part of the list! As I was asking for quotes, most gave a price range of this and this (like range $150-500)- even though I have the Year, Make and Model, and needed all 4 windows and rear to be tinted, a very simple quote and request. And I was browsing for other car window tinting shops, their reviews caught my eye! And I am a true believer of reviews! Now I understand why this shop has excellent reviews. Jason knows his stuff! He answers questions whether via Yelp or phone call. He is honest, straightforward and trustworthy! I asked for a quote and he have one answer for the price, no more, no less. I went to his shop to take a look on what tint brand and percentages samples to help me decide on which one to pick. I had an older car, 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer. If I would have known or have it tinted 10years ago where it was only $50, I wish I did! :) After setting up an appointment, went on that day and greeted by Noah. Noah is very chill and he even showed me his own car's tint to help me decide. I opted for 35 front windows and 15 in the back windows and rear. While waiting, it was Emily that called my name while I waited in the lobby. They have a coffee station and also wifi while you wait. Emily is very nice and answered all the questions that I have. There's a 3% charge when paying by card and with cash is just the actual price; 250$. She said not to open the windows for the first 3days and it's normal to have bubbles and will change and look normal for the next 3weeks. And use only ammonia-free glass cleaner like the Sprayway brand which you can buy at local Stores like Target and Wal-Mart. The following day, I got a text message that Joseph was the one who did my tint. Whether it was Noah or Joseph, Vallejo Tint gave their best! Btw, there's a lifetime warranty on the front windows from and limited warranty from the rest of the tint from Lumix. If you are ever looking for a tint for your car or home, (I believe they do house windows, too or businesses), I highly recommend Vallejo Tint Shop! I will have my other vehicles to be tinted here and recommend to my friends and family! Thank you Vallejo Tint Shop!

I requested all windows tint with the film I wanted. They provided a very good service and explanation. I will come back another time for windshield. The price they offered is a quite competitive compared to other shops in my area. It's worth the trip. We went to the Napa after that.

I pick up a used car and needed the windows tinted badly. I know a few people that recommended Vallejo Tint Shop before. I call close to closing time and figured they wouldn't answer but they did and I was able to book an appointment the next day. Tinted windows make a big difference. When I came in the next day for my appointment they took me I right away and got to work. I waited inside and before I knew it they were done. I was a little dissapointed because it seemed that the cut wasn't perfect there was a very small gap on the bottom of the window that show the imperfection (see photos) but owner just informed me that normal because if there is no gap the dirt will fill up at the edge and will start to peel. They were quick, professional and responsive in yelp. They also sent me samples of their tint to decide the level of shade. Other places gave me a quote over $500 on a project to tint 2 of my home window that's only 3' x 3' but not this company. The quote they gave me was very reasonable price for this less than 30 min project. read more

I have a 2 yr old and she was baking in the sun, so I needed tint asap. These guys had the best price for Llumar IRX, and got me scheduled asap. I was in and out in less than an hour. They told me the tint would take a couple weeks to cure and I could experience some haziness till then, but it all cleared up within a week. They even followed up with a phone call 3 weeks later to make sure everything was satisfactory. These guys were worth every penny. Any car I purchase, I will always be coming here for tinting. read more

Really great crew and great quality. In my opinion, worth every penny! Some family of mine have come here for both their cars also. Turned out great so I decided the search was over and this is where I'd go also. I came here in august to get my windows tinted the first time. Got everything other than the two front windows and windshield at 5% but just this week decided to go 5% on the two front as well, and a little darker on the windshield. Now my car is too cool for me lol. Lia (spell check) up front deserves a shout out. She has definitely answered all my questions and is super patient and helpful. Jason is a stand up guy. Very quick to respond to my yelp inquiry back in august and he hooked it up since I was just here a couple months ago. Will definitely come back if needed and send people their way! read more

The service here has always been amazing. I had my 2010 corolla tinted here, and my 2022 Civic Si when I got it a coupe years ago. I also had the visor strip put on. I chose to do the darkest you could do all around (5% in the back 15% in the front). My dad also got his 2020 Type R done here with the same darkness all around and his still looks great too! When I got my tint done here for my civic si, I had to take it back because I noticed bubbling in quite a few spots. They will redo it free of charge! I came back and the owner took a look at it and found another area or two that needed to be redone and went ahead and did it for me. Every time I've come here they've always been so helpful and so so nice. I have recommended quite a few people to come here. I will never go anywhere else! :) read more

My wife and had our cars tinted at Vallejo Tint. 2019 Fiat Spider and 2022 Mach 1 Mustang. Both within 6 months. Other places will quote 300+ for a $200 job, and they'll take 4 times longer to execute. If you want quality, value, customer service and no b.s., just call these folks, skip the rest and enjoy the ride. read more

Vallejo Tint Shop had the best rate available. The customer service I received via communicating on yelp, by phone and in person was excellent. They did a great job tinting my car's windows. I highly recommend them for this service. They are flexible and you can call to schedule your appointment. I had missed my original appointment but they were still able to fit me in that day and it took under 2 hours to complete. read more

Customers beware do not go to Vallejo Tint shop thinking I would get a quality tint job it was not up to par and even the industry standards there's gaps there's dirt and the tint and there's scratches. Owner doesn't take the initiative to reach out to the customer about how upset I am with this tint job. My defroster is ruined and the back windshield will have to be replaced thank you Steve and Jason for screwing this up They offered to redo the tent but I don't want the same guy to do it. The manager Steve is giving me the rigmarole why should I have my tint redone by the same guy that did my tint that the first time that was very upsetting. Jason and Steve if you're reading this you need to improve and retrain your employees at Vallejo tint shop. They did not offer to give me my money back. Shop around but do not go to Vallejo Tint Shop poor service read more

Business owner Jason is amazing. I contacted 20 businesses so I could get quotes to tint the windows of my 2023 Tesla Model Y, and Jason offered the most competitive price for Llumar IRX and Llumar AIR. He is a very knowledgeable, helpful, and cool dude in general. Ultimately, I went with a different business that was much closer to where I live, but I do hope to use Jason's services in the future. For what it's worth, Vallejo Tint Shop is highly recommended on sites like Reddit's TeslaLounge and Tesla Motors Club. If you're interested in window tinting, definitely contact this business and you'll likely get a better quote than the vast majority of similar shops in the Bay Area. read more

I met with the owner, Jason who responded quickly to my questions via Yelp messages and was convinced to take my car there. I brought my new 2018 Toyota Prius prime to this local tint shop in Vallejo. I don't have much to say about a business who specializes in tints but to keep it short, Vallejo Tint Shop does an excellent shop with their tint work. All five of my windows were tinted without any air bubbles or scratch marks. They only took a little over an hour to finish. The prices are about the same as other tint shops in neighboring cities so definitely call to get a quote. They have different tint film that have provide stronger UV strength, etc but the basic one works just as fine with me. The quality is great and it surprisingly does keep your car cool during a hot day. I love how they have a lifetime warranty, but READ THE FINE PRINT: You MUST have the original receipt if you ever have to take your car back for any reason. I would recommend Vallejo tint shop for your tinting needs!!! read more

Quality service. We had two commercial doors tinted, and Vallejo Tint Shop did an excellent job. They are a family business, also related to Vallejo Glass Co - pretty cool! One thing I was a little leery about is we were told they accepted credit cards. When we paid, they didn't have a card reader so the tech took a picture of both sides of my card and said he's delete it after they process the payment. From a customer perspective, I felt like I didn't have a choice. Everything worked out fine. It just doesn't feel good knowing someone has pictures of your credit card. But don't let this stop you from using their service. You can pay by check too. I do recommend this place, especially because they are a family run business and they do great work. Support small businesses in Vallejo. read more

This company is great! They have done two cars for us now. I was able to get an appointment in just 2 days and I was able to wait for it, only took about an hour. I got limo to tint on all windows and a sunblock strip on the front windshield. $300 and they have a great warranty. read more

I'm amending this rating and review due to the response from the owner for their attentiveness and offer to fix a small detail that I noted in my initial review. Since I wrote the initial review, I've been focusing on school and never got around to taking up their offer. Living with the tint since then, I haven't had any issues with the product and the quality of installation. I do value the time the owner took to respond to my initial review and believe this is an excellent shop. I do recommend the drive if anyone on the peninsula is looking for Llumar Stratos tint. I've really found it a game changer for the quality of life improvements it provides with heat rejection in my daily driver. read more

However, every time I showed up, they made excuses, saying they were too busy and asked me to come back later. I went back more than seven times, even closing my own business to make time, and still nothing was done. Finally, the owner contacted me, and He apologized and scheduled me for an appointment the following week at 12:00 PM, asking me to arrive 10 minutes early so they could complete the job right away in about 30 minutes. I even received daily reminder messages confirming the appointment. On the day of the appointment, I arrived 10 minutes early as instructed. When I checked in, the staff said they had no record of my appointment. They still told me to leave the car and promised it would be done within an hour. I waited outside for over an hour, and they never even touched my car. Meanwhile, other customers who arrived without appointments were being served before me. While I was there, another customer driving a 2026 Nissan coupe, yellow in color, was also upset and complained that he had just gotten his car tinted. He was unhappy with the results. He said to me they did his car 2 hours ago. That made it clear to me that I'm not the only one having issues with this shop. After waiting 2-3 hours with no progress, I was told to come back again. This level of service is completely unacceptable. The staff was unprofessional, rude, and dishonest. I texted the owner, and I made it clear that I had closed my business to be there, but that did not seem to matter. This shop charged me $275 for a service that should have been covered under their so-called "lifetime warranty." Instead, I received poor workmanship and even worse customer service. I believe they should take responsibility and fix the issue properly instead of wasting my time repeatedly. Well, my car will never return to this stupid shop ever, especially the staff who worked out there. 100.% WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this business, BlackIt Out Tints, in Vallejo, to NO ONE.

Had my car windows tinted here. The cost was 200, I think, maybe slightly more. Did a good job. No complaints about the actual work... As for the owner, dress super sloppy, took zero pride in his appearance, cursed quite a bit with the woman that works with him, true style of Vallejo at its finest. The shop was pretty messy and didn't seem to take much pride in his establishment either. There was another guy working with him and he was polite, friendly, and looked kept. Also I asked if there was a restroom and the owner said "you can use the DMV restroom" ew how tacky but to be expected at this point. Now for the kicker.. I went to pay for the car tint and on the printed out receipt was the cost and then a TIP???? what is the TIP for??? You didn't serve me, offer me water, have a restroom, you didn't even say hello to me when I walked in, THE OTHER GUY DID!!! I'm all about supporting local business owners in a town that I grew up in but come on, why don't you clean yourself up and take pride in your business. You do great work but your your physical appearance and your demeanor is that of someone who doesn't take pride in what he has. Its so unfortunate. I will never come here again. read more

Since then I have sent several customers to Jason, customers of mine that moved up north and needed a repair or even their new car tinted. Recently I sent a family member to Jason's shop. I called ahead and talked with Jason. He installs a very good product, his installation team is very good and I was very happy that I could trust his shop with a family members personal car. Again, dealing with Jason was worth 5 stars. Knowing he uses a good product also was deserving of 5 stars.
