I told her the pain was a 8 out of 10 and said I think I had gallstones. All she recommended was for me to download the app so I can contact her quickly if it got worse and gave me some meds for GERDs. She ordered labs for me to take in 2 days. We met for less than 5 minutes. She didnt care to listen to anything I had to say, the pain I was in, or offered any actual care or advise. I was sent home and went the clinic/appt that she referred me to. All they wanted was for me to pay before anything was done, that seemed to be their only priority. The place was extremely unprofessional and slow. I tried contacting her via the app for 3 days saying the pain was not getting any better and that I was pretty sure I had gallstones. I asked for results from the labs. No response. I ended up having to go to the ER because of the pain and being unable to sleep/eat. They quickly admitted me in, diagnosed me with gallstones, did a scan to find the stones, and had surgery done to remove the stones/gallbladder. Oh and guess what? A total of 7 days after the initial attempt to contact her via the app, she finally responded back "how are you doing now?" Absolute joke of a doctor!! No urgency, no care provided. St. Joseph's questioned why she prescribed the meds she did because it would never have helped with gallstones and wasnt even a pain reliever. When St. Joseph's recommended me to follow up, Dr. Tso refused to contact or respond back to me and kept referring me to follow up with her RN only.

After a brief call with an employee named Paolo, who spoke positively about the clinic, I shared the information with my relative. In hindsight, I realize that in my desperation, I may have overlooked warning signs. At the time, I did not realize Paolo is not a medical professional, even though he was the first person discussing treatment options. The clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Nilda Agnes Abellera, who is board-certified in PEDIATRICS but whose clinic advertises integrative medicine. My relative traveled from out of state to begin what was described as an "intensive" 20-day cancer program. According to her account, the first three days did not feel intensive. She reported that infusion rates appeared slowed, staff could not explain the scientific basis for some treatments, and the doctor missed a planned medication review. She also observed what she believed was dried blood on a chair and described an IV bag fully draining while the needle was in place, which worried her. On October 9, 2025, she said her care was terminated immediately after raising concerns, without timely written notice, referrals, or arrangements to ensure access to medical care until she could establish care elsewhere. Referrals were only provided after I contacted the clinic. This abrupt termination caused a delay of over a month in her treatment and worsened her PTSD symptoms. She also tried to obtain her medical records multiple ways. On October 10, she requested them in person but was denied. She also submitted a written request and used the clinic's online inquiry form. As of this writing--52 days later--she has not received her complete records. When I called the clinic, Paolo was tense and dismissive, and I could not speak directly with Dr. Abellera. Given the situation, I became concerned about whether proper procedures were followed and intended to file a complaint with the Medical Board of California. Additional observations and concerns (personal experience): Family-run structure: The clinic is owned by Dr. Abellera. Paolo appears to manage many aspects, and another family member may also work there. This raised questions about oversight and role clarity. Online reviews: Of 32 Google reviews, 5 were five-star without details. Only one mentioned "cancer," making it hard to evaluate patient experiences compared with other clinics with hundreds of detailed reviews. Difficulty communicating with the physician: My relative and I tried to speak directly with Dr. Abellera; she did not speak with me, and my relative felt the doctor was unwilling to address her concerns. This lack of communication was alarming given her serious diagnosis. Cost vs. expectations: The program cost approximately $1,800 per day. Based on my relative's experience, the services did not match the program description. Others may feel differently, but this was our impression. Social media promotion: Paolo participates in Facebook groups promoting the clinic without identifying himself as an employee, which seemed misleading. I have included a screenshot for reference. In more than a decade in healthcare, I have never witnessed a more concerning divergence from a physician's duty to do no harm: terminating care without notice, effectively leaving my relative without immediate, comparable care options while facing life-threatening cancer.

He also clearly listed of all the treatment options that I had and explained any potential side effects. It was a very polite, honest, and holistic appointment. I have now been seeing Dr. Saharan for about six months and my condition has improved tremendously. Each time that I visit his office, his staff continues to give me a warm welcome and the doctor always makes sure to ask about how my family and kids are doing. Supposedly, their fax machine broke easily. After having my doctor's office send it a fourth time, they finally processed it, and said they would not see me, because despite having an elevated rheumatoid factor to go with my multiple years of life- and work-altering joint pain, muscle pain, and fatigue, in addition to other symptoms relating to my immune system, all of which came on far too abruptly to be natual aging, apparently my test results weren't "bad enough." I was referred AGAIN, after my GP and I continued to test and find no other strange test results, and it took them six weeks to "process my referral" only to be told they didn't have it. So I called my GP's office to ask to re-send it, was told by my GP's office that they had gotten on the phone with Dr Saharan's office, re-sent the referral, and been told to give them a week to "process" it. I called back after a week, and I was told they still do not have my referral. They asked what I was referred for, and I told them joint pain, muscle pain, and fatigue. I was told that if it's joint pain, I should see a pain management specialist, since my test results are still low or negative, which was a lovely way to have someone completely ignore the symptoms I was reporting, or the timeline, and only focus on one symptom. My GP's office is now working on transferring my referral to another rheumatologist. This office has been the opposite of helpful, and only wasted a YEAR of my time, which I could have been spending working with someone more competent and willing to do their job to at least TRY and discover the actual CAUSE of any of my NUMEROUS symptoms. Thanks for leaving me in significant pain, fatigued, and unable to work a full time job with no answers for an entire year. My last phone call with this office, the person who answered the phone told me that the person who handles the referrals had just stepped out, should be back any minute, and she would leave a note on her desk letting her know to call me. I never received that call. Unprofessional, and a waste of time. If you're referred here, I would look into transferring that referral elsewhere.

The test in themselves take around 3 weeks to get back the results and then your put on a waitlist to make an appointment to go over the results. In the meantime time is just passing by and you're suffering with no answers! They need a better system for appointments to go over results.
