    Valley Arthritis
    August A.

My first visit to Valley Arthritis Care. A friend of mine recommended this place. On first arrival, things were fast, friendly, and efficient. There were tons of patients waiting to be seen and things were moving very quickly. It was like a fine tuned Swiss watch. They held to my appointment time which was awesome!!!! That's very very rare for a doctor's office of this size to keep true to your appointment time. I was most happy "until" I was lead back to the room "(A)" aka "Dash-eLut Desert, Iran." This room would make Satan himself sweat from the heat. It was unholy stagnant heat trapped like an oven! What made it all worth it was the PA Iain Black. Mr. Black was charming, dapper and quick witted. He sets himself apart from other healthcare providers by his gentle demeanor, vast knowledge, and the true ability to listen to me. That was the one thing that made my experience at Valley Arthritis 100% worth it. I've been to doctors that barely look up and make eye contact with you. They give you 5 mins max no matter what and they are out of there. You could be bleeding from your ears and eyes and they are like, okay times up, please schedule a follow-up appointment in 4 months. That's a sad state of affairs, but you will not get this with PA Iain Black. Suffering in the 6th circle of hell was worth it. I'm glad I got lucky to have him take care of me. I felt so sorry for Mr. Black as he was doing his very best in the Dash-eLut Desert. I will definitely recommend PA Iain Black as a provider. But I can't recommend that heat! That's a HUGE patient dis-satisfier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whoever is in charge of the AC should have to work in that room for one business day to feel what the patients are experiencing.

She did 21 blood tests that was testing for rare diseases, nothing to do with bone density. They never gave me an estimate. I had to pay $763.00 for unnecessary tests. Also, she never helped me with bone density or arthritis. I would never recommend this Doctor! Office staff was not helpful either.

I am trying to get him a steroid injection as a doctor told me it would be no problem just to call the office I have been trying for the last 3 days 2 days I spoke with the scheduling Department which she didn't seem like she knew anything about anything and then I left a detailed message for the management still no response after 3 days so I guess I will have to drive 30 minutes and go sit in their office and tell someone will speak to me in regards to my father's health condition . This is totally unacceptable . I can see 24 hours for someone to get back to you but I'm now leaving this review on a Saturday I have been trying since Friday to get through to someone . I feel like the person in scheduling was so confused on what I was trying to explain to her that who knows if she even got through and left it with the doctor's assistant . Highly disappointed . I understand doctor's offices are busy but my father is 85 years old and I shouldn't have to wait 3 days for a return phone call .

Over the past 3-5 years I have struggled greatly with spinal pain and increasing severity of autoimmune symptoms that no other doctor was able to diagnose or correctly treat. I am an Olympic swimmer and a documentary creator, so to suffer my body's degeneration so severely was more than just a nuisance, it felt like a loss of my entire identity. My right eye was going blind due to inflammation, my spine was attempting to fuse together, I had abdominal pain that kept me up all night and mental fog all day that prevented me from working for weeks at a time. Every day I was taking a massive cocktail of medications for asthma, inflammation and allergies that seemed to be doing absolutely nothing for me. All of this impacted my life perspective and outlook to the point where I didn't desire to live if this is how life was going to be. I had the opportunity to listen to Dr. Mitchell's podcasts and learn about his methodology - it was something that appealed to me so I made an appointment with him. More than any other physician I've had, Dr. Mitchell is keen on using diagnostics to inform treatment. A full analysis of blood, stool, urine, mental health and lifestyle choices was done within the first month - the results were then carefully explained and Dr. Mitchell put forward a treatment plan in phases focused on resetting my damaged gut as it plays heavily into the severity of my health woes. Dr. Mitchell put me on a natural regimen of healing nutrition, physical activity, enzymes, probiotics, cleansing aids, meditation and homeopathic remedies. It was a lot of effort, but in the end it paid off. After a few months of putting in the work and sticking with the plan, I am now back in the gym training with glimpses of the same spirit I had as an Olympian; back in the office making headway on innovative ideas and connecting with people around me; my relationships with loved ones are getting stronger and more compassionate; I am more aware of my nutritional choices and able to make smarter decisions about how to use food as the best medicine. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Mitchell's patience, kindness and deep concern for me as a guide through this journey. We live in a time where the perversion of profit has tainted our inputs measurably (food, social, technological, environmental) and is causing immense imbalances that trigger adverse responses from our bodies. The movement around identifying these toxic inputs to address them is young but growing - for the time being it is fantastically difficult to avoid those toxic inputs entirely, and a guide like Dr. Mitchell can help tremendously in living every day to the fullest in this environment and find ways to be strong, vibrant, compassionate and energetic in all aspects of life.
