I was told I needed more bloodwork and X-rays to narrow down what was happening. Done, I was desperate after 15 years of being told it's my size and it's in my head. I did all the things, bloodwork, X-rays, etc. imaging showed various things that weren't discussed when meeting with the Dr. the first time, okay, I was fine with it as it wasn't exactly what we are 'looking for', had I not read the reports, I never would've known, still important to at least be aware of though. Was told to do MRIs. Done, again, I read through the reports before the appointment but wanted to let Dr. Mahadaven talk me through everything instead of jumping to conclusions with Dr. Google. I went for my appointment yesterday and was more than ready for answers (MRI showed spondylitis so at least we had a path we could take that we talked about on my earlier appointment). I was told (in a nutshell) "go back to your pain doctor and follow up with us in a year unless things change." I was told it's skeletal, that we can't do medications and nothing will help me because I'm on Eliquis. I was asked why I haven't tried GLP-1s. I've lost over 100 pounds already. I'm maybe 60 pounds overweight still for my height. I know it's a contributing factor but I'm still in the same level of pain I was at when I was 350. I'm not asking to chase something that's not there, I didn't expect an answer right away. But I was made to feel like finally someone heard me and was going to help me.. only to be told to lose weight and medicate with a pain doctor instead. I don't want to be on painkillers the rest of my life. I'm only 31.. something is wrong and I had hope that we would find the cause of the pain.. fix that instead of giving up... again.. Very kind staff, but disappointed that my weight is blamed yet again instead of doing the follow up, '12 weeks later' bloodwork.

It has been a nightmare with them and it is not even the end of January yet. The office manager Lily is VERY rude and confrontational. She made me cry multiple times by the way she would talk to me. If you need to reach this office, you have to call them about 10 times or more to get them to answer the phone. If you email them, HAHAHA you aren't going to hear back. Basically, this office is horrible. They don't care about their patients. They don't care if you have your medication. The only thing they are sure to do is collect your money and file insurance claims. I am sad I have to leave my doctor because of how the office staff and manager have treated me, because the doctor was amazing. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially someone who is elderly and might not be able to advocate for themselves.

I have commented that the front desk needed more attention to handle patient call volume. He then had his front desk operator help me set up the Helo Patient software app on my iPhone. Once that was completed, his Office Manager met with me and took the time to teach me the patient basics to schedule my appointments, check on lab work results, and leave messages for Dr. Garg or the Office Manager. The program is wonderful and should be a favorable assistant to the Front Desk personnel, that the patients can control and utilize. The mantra "good help is hard to find" prevails in every business at the lower skill level. I am not willing to give up an outstanding physician when he has gone to great lengths to keep the staff employed for consistency and continues to find a way to strengthen and improve clerical deficiencies. This guy is a GREAT doctor, and worth the bother to get in to see him.
