I just went in for the first time today and feel compelled to write a review. Firstly everyone working in the office was extraordinarily nice. I came in, a hot mess with my baby, and was greeted in a really kind, authentic way by the receptionist Mary and even the other patients in the waiting room. Everyone seemed happy to be there and treated me and my baby like family. Dr. Lisa Leap did my intake and adjustment, and I was so impressed by her knowledge, candor, bedside manner, and thoroughness. She was very thoughtful and detail-oriented but most importantly she was trauma-informed. Her consent and check-in practices were wonderful. I felt very much at ease and safe. I'm a pelvic Health Specialist/licensed PTA, and physical therapy educators can be very dismissive of chiropractors. I was basically taught chiropractors are BS in PTA school. Let's just say I went in skeptical but desperate. I'm also without income at the moment (scraping pennies while I build a nonprofit), and after calling around town, found their package price quite fair, especially for a nicer private practice (the office is very lovely!). What initially liked about Dr. Leap is that she continuously tracks current research and studies in her field! Many chiropractors and physical therapists do the minimum con. ed. to maintain their licensing, but Dr. Leap is so passionate that she updates her knowledge and practices because she loves it... if you're a nerd like me, she'll tell you all about it. She has a superb bedside manner as well. This immediately gained my trust in her and piqued my interest in chiropractic methods. This demonstrates she cares about her work and patients and is not just moving through the motions of her job. More importantly, I had AMAZING results. I am 44 years old and have seen many patients myself who have waited too long to address back pain until it's debilitated their lives. I don't want that to be me, which is why I tried something new, and I'm SO glad I did. I've had mild-light back pain since my 20's (worsened by driving and dancing-I'm a bellydancer). I came in because I was getting more frequent pain at a higher level, and it was starting to affect my lifestyle. Within a few sessions, my pain was significantly reduced to the point I wasn't sure if I was still in my own body--it was astonishing. After 12 sessions, my balance tests were drastically better. I was told I had a pretty impressive result, and it's not usually this rapid, so do be patient and just trust the process. Everybody is different. Her daughter also did my x-rays and 1 adjustment, which went great. She's always smiling, and the vibes in the office are just positive. I know I sound like I was paid to write this, but as a healthcare worker who's experienced many negative working environments, I really do notice and relax when the dynamics feel healthy. I mean, who wants to be in a tense setting when someone is tweaking your spine!? I never in a million years thought I'd invest in chiropractic maintenance, but I will find a way to budget this into my life. I still feel movement, and PT philosophies (like core exercises) are essential to having a healthy spine, but in my case, realignment is another absolutely necessary component. Now, when I dance and exercise, my spine is more open and moving correctly. In PT, we say "sitting is the new smoking" in terms of the amount of people it's making sick in various ways. I think we need all the help we can get to age well in today's sedentary lifestyles. I'm actually trying to convince my own mother, who is nearly 80, to go to Dr. Leap. NOTE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW: The receptionist was great and friendly, extremely transparent, and helped me sort out a generous payment plan. I'm noting this due to the previous cranky review. I've worked as a receptionist in healthcare clinics, and patients sometimes forget it's ultimately their own responsibility to clarify pricing and read what they sign. It's a shame this wonderful doctor and clinic got a bad review because of one person's misunderstanding. The proof is in the pudding, and my back is not hurting as I sit and type this, that's what should inform your choice to go in. read more

I've been coming since December, and my body is feeling great. I work out for a living, and I'm always pushing my body to do more and more, which takes it's toll. Since incorporating weekly massages and bi-weekly adjustments into my routine, I've had less injuries, seem to need less recovery time, and just feel better overall. I have been seeing Dr. Leap since March 2023 and she has made a world of difference to my body and soul with her caring adjustments. She's very strong and knows exactly which positions to put me into to get the results I need. I love Dr. Leap and she does great work but this place needs a new receptionist--she is very unprofessional. For instance, I asked her for help regarding payment (due to a change in my insurance) and she told me I had to figure it out myself, and that she couldn't help. Of course, when someone else gave her a stern talking to on my behalf (I'm a non-confrontational person by nature), she found herself able to do her job correctly, but as far as I understand it should be regular policy for a doctor's office receptionist to do computer and phone work when it comes to a patient's insurance, NOT tell the patient to do all the work themselves! Today was another example: it was busy but I had made an appointment for 2:30. Even with this appointment made (and the receptionist promising me my spot), I was asked to wait in a queue of multiple people for my turn. I am used to waiting a few minutes for treatment from doctors but it is very unprofessional to promise a patient an appointment and then make them wait insane amounts of time for it. I have been a patient of Dr. Helle Leap since 1998. She is an exceptional and caring chiropractor! Last year I had pinched nerve which causes me searing pain in my leg when I walked. I chose chiropractic alignment to address and resolve the source of the pain as opposed to getting an injection to numb the pain. Her treatment plan involved chiropractic alignment twice a week. After the first week the pain was slightly reduced and after 5 weeks the pain was gone! All I can say that Dr. Leap's sensitivity to her patient's need is outstanding, her approach to physical health through chiropractic alignment, and how she applies the chiropractic alignment helps me through my day-to-day aches and pains. I have been going to Dr Leap for 10 years . I first saw her for my neck. I could not look over my shoulders, which was making it difficult and dangerous to drive. I was able to freely move my head after seeing her, per her prescribed treatment schedule. I've never felt pressured to see her more often than I could afford, which is how she works. She will make recommendations for treatment based on her years of experience. But she won't pressure you to go beyond your means, which I appreciate since I am on a fixed income. I also urgently needed her help a few years ago. I was walking to my appointment and tripped. I hit my head, shoulder and was sure I was going to feel the impact for days. Luckily I was only a block away. She immediately checked me over and gave me an adjustment. The next day the only evidence that I had fallen was a black eye. There were no body aches or stiffness. I was amazed! Dr Leap keeps current on new research in the field. She is willing to share the new findings, which have changed over the last decade. Just ask her about some aspect of your body or treatment. I look forward to my "maintenance" visits. She has a very nice, clean and sanitized office. Her receptionist, Mary (and sometimes her daughters), is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. It is always fun to find out how her track star son is doing in his competitions, and what camping trips she is planning. After seeing Dr. Leap for several years previously...I began working with her again once I got through my first trimester, getting an adjustment about once a week for the remainder of the pregnancy. After the first visit I was cured of the insufferable migraines I had been getting since the start of the pregnancy...this was amazing as they were completely debilitating and happening every few days. As the pregnancy progressed she was so knowledgeable, explaining all the ways that the pregnancy was affecting my spine and ligaments. She shared relatable stories of delivering her own children, infusing confidence in me as a first time mom. As a midwife I have a great appreciation for chiropractors and always send my patients their way, but even I was surprised as a first time mom to have such a dream of a labor and delivery! Even with an induction and a high dose of pitocin, I had no pain for all of early labor, and only in active labor did I really experience intense pain...and I must say it all felt manageable and I had the baby within 2 hours of getting to active labor! Only 4 pushes and he was born. I guess that's what happens when your pelvis is perfectly aligned! I had seen Dr. Leap the day before I had the baby, so I was in perfect alignment and the baby navigated the pelvis with ease. If I recommended chiropractic care in pregnancy before, I HIGHLY recommend it to my patients now, and most definitely with Dr. Leap, she is the BEST! read more

Dr. Leap has been my savior for 7 years now. Years ago I suffered my first sciatica spasm and problems. There were moments where I couldn't walk cause of the spasms in my leg. Even recently I had one of the worst attacks that literally held me captive at standing as sitting and even laying were excruciating. Dr. Leap managed to fit me in when I explain that I was in horrific pain and with her help each time I've gotten better. Busy schedules and finances at times have held me back from managing but if I could I would make chiropractic a weekly part of my life. I cannot praise enough how there is understanding, recommendations, answers to any and all questions you may have and just a general caring vibe whether you go every week or during periods of pain. Dr Leap is the exception who will break the misunderstandings of chiropractic as many people have an idea based on insurance biller types. This is not that kind of office. When my father was referred to valley chiropractor, he called the receptionist and asked about insurance and pricing, mary informed him that valley chiro doesn't accept our insurance and told him he would be charged a FLAT RATE of $55 as this is the pricing for an office visit. when comes time to pay, they charged him $175 after doing absolutely nothing for him AND had the audacity to come back and respond to a yelp review explaining what happened during the visit in a very distasteful manner. As a PAYING customer i have the right to tell you how i feel about your faulty customer service and your careless errors which cost me an extra $120 dollars. After my chiropractor retired, I began searching for another one. Based on great reviews posted on Yelp (which are all obviously completely fake), and her "one big happy family photos" giving a false impression of her true character, I decided to give Helle Leap a try. BAD MISTAKE!!! Rather than feeling better after the adjustment as I always had after adjustments from my other chiropractor, Helle Leap's adjustment was so rough and clumsy that I ended up with a sprained right wrist, a sore neck, and headache and dizziness. After feeling progressively worse after the adjustment, I emailed Helle Leap to inform her of my injuries as the result of her adjustment, and I told her I was placing a stop payment on the check I had issued. Then, to add literally insult to literally injury, she sent the bill to an unscrupulous collection agency to harass me and damage my credit score. Beware of quack chiropractors!!! They can injure or kill you. Never make the mistake of giving them your social security or driver license number, or giving them any form of payment up front.
