It says all this on your website, but I am grateful to have been able to discern my path forward and away from false teachings. Instead, I'm looking at their contribution to the community, and for that they get stellar marks. They have hosted Red Cross blood drives for years, and as someone who has laid on those cots 24 times, I really appreciate how they make their space available to the Red Cross so many times a year. The drives are held in the huge basement level function room in the back of the building, and there is lot of room for the check in table, the rows of chairs for the waiting donors, the interview booths, the donation cots, and the recovery canteen. I've also been to the First Church dozens of times for Boy Scout functions. First Church has been the home of Troop 76 for decades. The monthly meetings are in the same downstairs room the Red Cross uses, and the Eagle Scout ceremonies are held in the upstairs chapel. The chapel is a beautiful space and a perfect location for the Eagle ceremony. So for community service, the First Church gets the highest rating possible.

All of the books, games, and assorted items were neatly laid on tables with clear labels explaining what kinds of books were grouped together. I picked up two Large Print books for just $2 apiece. I definitely want to mention how nice and friendly the two women were at the checkout station. The book sale is also open tomorrow, and the church will host a Plant Sale on May 18, 2024, and a Clothing Sale on October 4-5, 2024.
