At her first adult dental appointment, they asked why she had never received any orthodontic care and said she needed to see an orthodontist ASAP. Severe overbite and significant overcrowding that had been getting worse over the course of several years. She is now almost 20 and multiple doctors have told us that she needs 1-2 years of braces and corrective jaw surgery to fix her mouth. I'm not sure why this was overlooked since we asked Dr. Neel several times if she would ever need braces from the time she was little and he always said no. When she was older, we asked about certain things that were abnormal with her teeth/bite and he told us multiple times that there was nothing wrong. I wish he had referred us to an orthodontist while she was under his care so we could have dealt with this earlier. We feel a bit confused on why this issue was never addressed and why this was able to go untreated for so long.

I scheduled, and due to my own fault, I missed the appointment. I called the next day after realizing it, and was met with the MOST rude office manager. She told me that I was blocked from making a new appointment because I missed my "new patient" appointment. I told her I'd been in once before and she said b/c it was an EMERGENCY appointment that I was still considered "new" (mind you this isn't my primary dentist but I was thinking of switching over) so they basically BANNED me for accidentally mixing up the date of my appointment. I went in the office to personally speak with someone in charge and to my surprise, the office manager didn't give the same energy she had over the phone once I dropped in- she then offered to speak with someone to see if I "could get rescheduled" which I later found out SHE could've easily done the reschedule. I don't know what type of games this office is playing, and everytime I've been in there they are empty- they should want the business. I called to the Towson office was promised a call back by the owners and that NEVER happened- that was a week ago. So, I'd say take your business elsewhere if you can.

When I questioned Dr. Anglin about it, he looked at me crazy and walked out of the room. I knew after that visit that we wouldn't return, but I wanted to take care of my daughter's teeth before discontinuing my appointments (especially since it would be a different dentist). When I came to get the cavities filled, I encountered more rudeness and impatience from Dr. Ajayi. When my daughter didn't do exactly what she asked her to do, she walked out of the room. The hygienist offered ways to help - smaller inserts for my daughter's mouth, cushions for my daughter to sit on to raise her, etc. Dr. Ajayi walked out of the room seven times!!! She spoke negatively about me and my daughter to the dental hygienist in front of my other daughter!!! I have never seen this type of unprofessionalism from a dentist! I am terribly disappointed by their lack of courtesy, compassion, and professionalism.

Despite the extra costs that came with these multiple appointments I paid for multiple services including the braces removal which was SO RUSHED THROUGH that when he thought he was finished he actually said "oh forgot one" and had to go back in, meanwhile his assistant Kelly is calling him the entire time he's in my mouth ,rushing him to help with something else. Finally I left with glue still left on my teeth from braces ( I had less than 10 brackets left and they rushed so much that this easy job became a lazy unfinished one). As I was finished the bracket removal appt the dental assistant asked if I needed something but was quickly hushed... this office just added to my fear of dental offices and money hungry care providers. When I tried to get the money back that was left on my account for other services that hadn't been completed ,I was told I need to come in to "discuss why i wanted a refund" again forcing me to miss time at work to come to the office for less than an hour. When I missed these refund discussion appointments that I was forced to make they held my money for missed appointments without doing anymore work to my teeth. Had to ultimately lose sooo much money and time and still had to find a dentist who could actually help (and finish getting glue off). People are nice but work was horrible and processes were not in favor of customer. Ended up being one of the worst dental experiences ever.

They were able to get us an appointment a lot faster than other pediatric dentist offices I called and after discovering at our first appointment my son would need teeth removed and crowns they made sure to get us in within just a couple weeks, most places were telling me it would be months before he could have the procedure before we came to Chesapeake Dental! The office is so big, clean and welcoming. You automatically feel comfortable as soon as you walk in and get a calming vibe. We had the sweetest assistant who was so kind to me and my son. Dr Kwak is absolutely amazing. It feels like you're talking with a friend. She was so sweet to my son, you just know your child is in good hands with her. She listens and doesn't push you or your child. She explains things so we as parents understand. The whole entire staff is so kind I can't say enough good things about them. I was welcomed by the receptionist as soon as I walked in the door. Check-in was a breeze even though it was my first time there. I can't remember the hygienist name who cleaned my tooth, but she was super friendly and sweet. Then Dr Brandon Foster came in to check up on my teeth. BEST DENTIST EVER! He was extremely knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and patient. He explained to me all the questions I had about my sensitive teeth without making me feel dumb. We had an emergency with my daughter yesterday, we were at the emergency room for a kidney…read moreinfection. We call the office to inform them that she was not up to coming due to just getting out of the hospital. They are going to charge a cancellation fee because we did not inform them 48 hours in advance. I was pissed. Our daughter was sick and how am I supposed to know that we were going to end up at the hospital. I was yelling at them because this was not right. They had charged us every cancellation fee since February because our daughter got sick. Most doctor offices have a 24 hour cancellation policy not 48 hours. One pissed off costumer. I would not recommend this dentist office to anyone.
