I have been wearing glasses for 40 years, so I know how to go into a store and pick them out on my own. It felt very much like the young lady was commission based, so she was pushing glasses on to me. It was just too much. I explained, I'm having Lasik done in 2 months, so I just need something to hold me over for a few weeks.. not a $5-$700 pair of glasses combination she was pulling out.. I became so frustrated, I just left and purchased glasses online for a fraction of the cost (also when I mentioned that as an option, she made it clear that was basically tacky and it hurt my feelings a little and she can't promote it.. well no kidding when I got them for $123 with the lenses where as what she was trying to sell me was $300-$400 glasses + $150 lens and then a $320 appointment) for a 2-month pair. With that being said, the doctor was truly AMMMMAZING but I don't need to feel like I'm buying a car when I'm browsing the eye glass selection.

It was needed due to sedative medication, so I was instructed not to drive myself. I am provided transportation thru insurance exactly for that reason but she couldn't be bothered and that was distressing and diminishing. She barked at me dismissively to, "get a friend or neighbor to drive you!". Problem was I had recently moved to Palmer and my appointment was at 7 am! Who wants to have a friend skip work, get up at 4 or 5 am, drive from anchorage to sit and wait for me to have a crown put on? Other than her obstinate rude attitude, everything else was top notch and the new clinic is beautiful! Packed with impressive technology like a machine that makes your crown in minutes! Dr. Mann has a beautiful heart and skilled hand and never hurt me once! I do think he should not rely on such a cold hearted woman to run his business though, no telling how many patients she has run off. She is the sole reason I couldn't give him the five stars he deserves, but I'm honest to a fault! Hopefully you won't have to deal with her and the rest of the front office staff are wonderfully warm, helpful, attentive and very easy to deal with. I very much recommend his practice for your dental care!

My treatment is time sensitive and must be on a schedule. Multiple times, id receive a phone call the day of my appointment that my appointment had to be canceled because they hadn't done their part on my authorization. Most recently I got a call ONE day before my appointment (an appointment that was made 3 months in advance (as was it done 3 months in advance every single time) to tell me that my doctor no longer worked there. Why they would not cancel all her appointments when she actually left, is beyond me. I'm now 2 months behind schedule because I had to find care elsewhere and wait for the insurance and an appointment. And now I can't get my other treatments on time, because they can't be done within a certain amount of time of each other. I was kind every single time it happened to me, and it happened over and over and over. I feel like it showed a total lack of empathy for my pain. It is debilitating without treatment.

I had to get quite a few fillings done, in which I don't have a high pain tolerance, so I was pretty nervous about these, but knew I had to get them done. Dr. Oxspring did a wonderful job with my teeth and I had way less pain than I expected to have. I was able to watch a movie for both my appointments which helped distract me from the pain and the grinding! The whole staff and dental assistants have been super sweet every time I've gone this year and definitely will be coming back for cleaning and whatever else!
