Lepe's was recommended to me by my wonderful roofers (Slaten and Sons) who no longer do gutters and have forwarded all their business to Lepe's. I was grateful to have the recommendation. Their office manager, Iris, is a doll and very helpful getting the estimate and install arranged. I ended up having to take a final while they were doing the install (thank you, prof, for that one) but the guys got the work done with very little disturbance. We did have a few minor snags with timing, which I've come to expect with busy contractors completing multiple jobs in a day. Usually it's easier to nail the timing with early morning appts, but since I am in the field in the mornings, only afternoons work. I'm grateful they were able to work around my weird schedule and were super nice about the adjustments. Word to the wise - when Iris puts the appointment in Calendar, this is the time *after* which the appointment will start, not the time that it *will* start. So, my 12N appt actually started at around 2pm. But they finished by sundown and it looks great, so no worries. Also, for those of you on one-way streets or with limited street parking - the guys come with a trailer that needs to be plugged in to operate the gutter cutter, so they need room to park. In my case, they took the trailer back to the shop and manually cut the gutters to fit on the sidewalk because there wasn't enough street parking space for them to work. It was a little tricky, but I so appreciate their extra efforts. The final result is lovely. They matched the color of the new front gutters that I already had and placed the downspouts so that they'd be least obtrustive while moving water away from the house. And the price was right! No haggling, very reasonable, detailed invoice that didn't change from start to finish. I had read another 2022 review that said that they don't take credit cards, but they do now (2023) with a surcharge. I paid via check though and that was easy after getting an invoice emailed to me the same day. Overall, I would totally recommend Lepe's. Great work, guys!

He offered to do a service on the old furnace or give me a quote for a completely new and upgraded one. I went with the new one. He installed a Bryant heater that was more appropriate for our sized house than the one we had been using ("Should save you about 25% in heating costs.") Additionally, he fabricated an access panel in the unit to enable us to change out the filters much more easily. All included in his very fair price. He was able to come back and install it a few days earlier than originally planned . Arrived on time and finished early. I definitely recommend Felipe and his service! 10/10

I'm biased I needed bearings and races pressed into a fitting. I supply all parts. Them - "You'll have it tomorrow" Me - "sounds great. Oh yeah, this arbor here - this one right here - it's critical that it projects enough so that the flange doesn't rub on the fitting." Them - "Got it" (Scribbles a sketch) Me, tomorrow - "Hello, is it done?" Them - "maybe around 4:30, if not, then by the morning." Me - "not a problem" Me. the next morning - "is it done?" Them - "The grease fitting broke. We're drilling and tapping and replacing it right now. Have it done by 1:00p" (Grease fitting not part of the original plan) Them 1:00p - "part's ready come pick it up" Me (there) - "here to pick up my part" Them - "Do you have a spacer? We pressed the arbor too far into the bearings. It rubs, but if you have a spacer it will work." Me - "SPACER!?!? No!! There's no spacer" Them - "No problem. We'll just press it back through. Another 20 minutes" Me (20 min later and not happy) "Well, I'm back" Them - "That's $100" Me - "$100!?!? You quoted me $50-$70" Them - "Well we had trouble with it. the $70 was if it was easy" Me (to myself - 'well it's done, I can get on with my life') - "Here's my card" Them - " It's $100 cash. It's $140 on the card" Me -"What!!!" Them - "There's an ATM down the street" Me (to the ATM and back. Now pissed) A quick exchange of money and parts and I'm gone. However as of October it has expired and has not been renewed according to the CSLB. Yes, I have had heated conversations with Michael Mayer the owner since he is incapable of giving me any information or schedule about delivery. Basic tasks he needs to set up get delayed because of his inept project management. I gave him chances to remedy the situation and provide a schedule and he is no longer in contact. I've moved on to another vendor. The service in comparison is night and day. Please save yourself a lot of grief. Not sure how I'm going to get my money back. Stay clear!
