My dog gave me quite a scare recently and newberry animal emergency vet was my first call since I…read moredrive past their new facility on 83 every day! The vet techs and vet were all kind and kept me up to date on what needed to be done and how much it would cost. I ended up having to leave my pup overnight, but she was in good hands. The only thing I will say is that I had to call for updates since no one contacted me from the day I left her in the afternoon until the next day towards the afternoon to tell me what was going on or if she could come home that day. We didn't have a primary vet since we had recently adopted her, but they kindly got us into the sister facility (non-emergency) clinic within days of seeing her. It was quite pricey (around $3000), as emergency vets tend to be, but they were very transparent with me about that up front.

This place advertises that they are an ER clinic but instead they pick and choose current clients…read moreover walk and. On July 11,2026 I took my 10 yr old male Doberman in for a suspected Urinary blockage because he hadn't peed yet that morning. I showed up at 12: pm. There were only a couple cars in the lot and when I walked in the large lobby/waiting room was totally empty. I told the receptionist my concern and her response was that they were booked up with appointments. I said to her that this was an Emergency Clinic which advertises their hours of operation until 3pm. She asked if I was a current client and I told her I was in the past. She responded again that they were booked up with appointments and had the nerve to tell me that they were more of an urgent care. WTF it's the same dam thing. 5 yrs earlier I had taken the same dog in for a UTI They took him in the back to do blood work and somehow traumatized him. I don't know what they did but ever since then we could no longer hug him. They had to have been really ruff with him in order to have caused to become reactive to attempts to hug him or stand over him. 2 yrs ago I took my female in for suspected Wobblers and the Vet that saw her didn't do any physically manipulative test on her. They only thing done was X-rays on her back which didn't include her neck which is required for diagnosis. As far as the incident on July 11th I had to take my male to another ER 30 minutes further which of course caused him to suffer excruciating pain . He ended up having a splenic mas that ruptured and do to the time lapse caused by Newberry ER he had to be put down.
