Have to pay to hold your appointment, order numerous tests and studies or they will not discuss the case with the specialist surgeon. I have nothing bad to say about this Vet. They were able to get my cat in when others were 2 weeks out and there was an 8-12 hour wait at the emergency Vet. They handle Molly with the best care. Gave me tiers of options that would give her the best outcome. They called a week later to make sure she was doing better. I would recommend. read more

A client for 6 years and now you've lost me. Dr. Hartmann was a wonderful veterinarian and so was his staff and they are greatly missed! The new staff can't even call you back with an answer and then pretends they didn't talk to you before. I have called over 5 times in less than a week and still have yet to get an answer on our dogs interceptor (heart worm medication). How and why does it take this long to get an answer? Now my dogs are passed due on their monthly medication because on this incompetent staff who can't communicate properly. Jamie may need to be retrained since she can't recall conversations over the phone, the receptionists don't communicate and it's a complete mess. We've also asked multiple times to speak with the new veterinarian and are still waiting on that phone call from months ago. Also don't come back with a snarky comment like the rest, a review is a review and you need to take the good with the bad but since the change over when Dr. Hartmann left everything went drastically down hill! You'll probably respond quicker to this review than you would've when I was a client. I wouldn't recommend this veterinarian ANYMORE! I hope with the incompetence of the staff you are happy losing a 6 year client but I don't trust this place anymore handling my pets, especially when they are both scheduled to get surgery on Aug 4, when they can't even manage the administrative part of their business and communication is no where to be found. 6 YEAR CLIENT, GONE!! We love Valley Green Veterinary Hospital. We have been bringing our cats and our greyhounds here since they opened. Dr. Hartman is conscientious and caring - he reads journals and keeps up to date on new treatments. He also has a network of specialists for special needs (like cancer.) He owns a reasonable amount of diagnostic equipment enabling him to provide faster diagnoses in house (without sending everything out.) There has been almost no turnover in staff in the 20-25 years that we have been bringing our pets to Dr. Hartman. That says a lot about the way Dr. Hartman treats people. read more

I would recommend this vet to any one. I have taken my animals here for over 15 years. My mom recommend that I take my Golden closer to where I live. I listened to her and my dog had a tumor in her mouth. They told me to go back to Valley Green to get it removed, because they didnt do that type of procedure. My dog even cried a little when getting a shot. My cats or dogs never did this at Valley Green! My pets and I always liked the staff too! I will continue to drive the distance for my dog, even though I have 3 boys and a busy schedule. read more

Valley Green has been my vet for 30+ years and I can not say enough about this organization. I recently had to have my dog put to sleep due to serious medical issues. I was able to bring him in and Dr. Hartman saw Dusty right away. Dusty passed away very peacefully and without pain. I have gone to VGH for over a decade, Dr. Hartman and the staff have always exceeded my expectations. These new owners don't know what they are doing. I waited for over 20 mins in the parking lot and everytime I asked for Melanie who always took care of me and my fur babies they told me she was no longer there. As much as I love Dr. H if the new owners don't get their shit together I will be going somewhere else. It seems like the original staff was pushed out and these new girls don't care and are unorganized and unprofessional. It was so bad last week when I called for meds for my cat nobody knew what I was talking about I had to leave two messages for a follow up phone call . How can a practice be ran so unorganized? I do not recommend this vet. The doctor we had was cold and unfriendly (the staff is fine). Most of all they are brutally expensive compared to other area vets. We called for checkups, shots and spaying for two new cats and it was 4 times the price of other vets, and we were not new patients! Thats not an exageration. read more

I have been taking my cats to Valley Green Veterinary Hospital for 11 years and over that time I have had 5 cats (2 have passed that they treated, 3 are still with us). Dr. Hartman and his staff have always been professional, helpful, friendly, and caring. Our cat Pooka was the sweetest boy, but had many medical problems. Dr. Hartman saved his life on numerous occasions and with his expertise recommended an insulin that could potentially put Pooka in remission when diagnosed with diabetes. After about 2.5 years, Pooka went into remission and never needed insulin again. When my cat Higgy was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer, he went over and above trying to find ways to keep him comfortable and give us as much time with him as possible without causing Higgy pain. We were granted 5 more months due to his efforts that we are so grateful for. I would recommend him and his staff to anyone. read more

We recommend this practice and Dr. Wagner 100%. We never saw Dr. Hartman, so this review is only regarding Dr. Wagner. Our dog had an injury that was quite bad, and our regular vet offered us no hope. Dr. Wagner took on the surgery and did a fantastic job. The staff is wonderful; they are are all kind, caring, and considerate. They greet each animal that comes in by name. You and your pet could not be in better hands! read more

We have brought all of our dogs to Valley Green since the 1980s. To date, I have never had a bad experience. The staff is friendly and professional. The present VET, Dr Hartman, has always been caring and proactive in our dog's health. No matter how many times I phone them for advice they are never short with me. A few months ago, our 14 1/2 yr old Lab had to be put down due to a heart condition. Everyone there was so kind and thoughtful and made this unpleasant task more tolerable. Horrible vet! They misread test results they did on my cat and claimed he had a fatal disease. Upon further testing by a different vet it was found the cat was perfectly fine. I will never take any of my animals to Dr. Hartman! read more

Dr Hartman is a wonderful vet and the staff are all fantastic. My wife and I have used them for dogs and cats for several years. They are very compassionate and caring and typically cure our sick creatures very quickly. I would recomend them to ANYONE and am very disappointed to see someone else who wrote a review had a different experience. At least if they erred, it seems it was an error on the right side of a mistake - I'm sure they wanted to cure the animal instead of saying nothing was wrong when there actually was. read more

While the staff is very friendly, the vet is only concerned about money. She uses guilt and scare tactics to get you to spend more money.
