I have been following a ketogenic lifestyle since March 2023 (for various health reasons). In that 2.5 years, i have tried a few different keto baked goods and no one hits the mark, EXCEPT valley keto! Pretty much every single item we have tried has been nothing short of amazing. Yes, the items are pricey. but if you look at the ingredients they are pretty dang clean. Which I LOVE! A lot of people follow net carbs, but I don't subtract fiber nor sugar alcohols (net carbs are what you get after subtracting those from total carbs). This spot is the only Keto spot I know of on the west side. I have saw them at the farmers market and decided to visit the store. It's located in Surprise and easy to find. Service wasn't overly friendly but was quick in getting me checked out and the store was small but clean! They have cookies, scones, muffins, bagels, rolls etc all low carb. This time I bought 1 pack of everything bagels and 1 pack of hatch chili cheddar bagels. Each comes with 4 bagels at a price of $12 each. I spent $24 on 8 bagels. Now, the bagels were more like a muffin and dense as most Keto bakery items. I felt they were super greasy but satisfied my bread craving. I would definitely love to try their sweets and other items so I'll stop in again to report back on the cookies, muffins and whatever else looks good at the time! Lol read more

Great food but somehow they always forget to put ALL the items in the bag. First was the lasagna(which by the way is very good) that was on Saturday, went again today and now missing the donut. I don't live close by so it is an inconvenience to have to drive all the way back to get the missing items. I tried the cinnamon crumble muffins the first time and they were good but nothing spectacular. Next time was the vanilla cupcakes. Didn't like at all. Tasted like coconut, not vanilla. They should be using almond flour instead of coconut. Frosting wasn't very creamy either. Also tried the cornbread. The first bite was good but after a few more, it doesn't taste as good. I don't know why that is. The last time, I bought brownies. They aren't very chocolatey and it was like chewing into granulated erythritol. There's a much better keto bakery in my neighborhood. I guess all the hype at this place is because there isn't anything better. I just ate a slice of cake from the better place that is every bit as good as cake from a regular bakery, if not better. I really wanted to love this place. I was so excited when I found out everything there is gluten free. I stopped by with my sister for an after school treat, not realizing they close at 4pm. We got there at 3:59pm and the cashier said it was okay to buy something. There is nowhere to sit or anything and we pictured it would be a cute shop with at least a few tables and chairs to sit and eat your treat. We were not happy with the fact that you have to buy everything in bunches, for example you have to get a four pack of brownies- you can't get just one or two to try. We ended up deciding on the two pack of chocolate chip cheesecakes (cupcakes) - we were both shocked when they said $16! $16 for two cupcakes? We were already there and it was closing time, so I still went for it. It's truly a bummer that the few fully gluten free places available are always so, so overpriced. As someone who understands GF ingredients can be pricey, I know they have to make a profit, but that still seems super expensive for what you get and it makes it not worth it. We took the cheesecakes and went on our way. First thing we noticed is the cheesecakes were hard and cold. Another very typical thing about this place is that 90% of their items are pre-packaged and cooled. I am never someone who thinks pastries are too sweet and this was hard to get through. 50% of the cheesecake is the frosting that seems to be cream cheese in the consistency of whipped cream. My sister ate half of hers and said she couldn't have more cream cheese, I ate the whole thing and am now sitting here with a bit of a stomach ache. The actual cake part was pretty good! Not $16 good, but good haha. I don't think I would give this place another try. Most things are pre-packaged and it is super overpriced. read more

Since finding this place.. they saved my Thanksgiving. I was able to have rolls, stuffing, pecan pie! And I have been back several times since. Their bagels are delicious. The bagel chips have given me a crunchy option that is not a pork rind. They have been super helpful and kind. Keto baked goods are hard to make. Whenever I go to Phoenix, my last stop before I return is Valley Keto! I load up on all my favorites which include the following: lemon scones, all their cookies especially Snickerdoodles, tortillas (for sure!!), dinner rolls, hamburger buns, and cinnamon swirl bread. And then there are the cheesecakes - my favorite is Key Lime. So good! Recently I've experienced and loved the pies, both Coconut Cream and Chocolate Silk! I'm not a fan like I had hoped I would become. I bought the brownies because they looked amazing & advertised as being chewy. They were dry, crumbly & bitter (& I prefer dark chocolate so bitter usually isn't an issue with me.) I bought a $12 loaf of their olive bread, which was about 4-5" in diameter & fits in hour hand. The Rosemary flavor was SOOOOOO overpowering I had to spit out the first bite. I can't get this horrible taste out of my mouth and it's ruining my breakfast. I absolutely love Rosemary to the point where I even grow my own to cook with & I love Kalamata olives but you have to be careful not to use too much rosemary when cooking and baking because it can overpower the creation. This particular loaf was inedible to me. I bought the chocolate almond "toffee" and that was absolutely wonderful! That's what earned them the 2 stars. If that's all I had tried I would've given them 4-5 stars. I'm afraid to spend anymore money trying anything else at this point. They haven't perfected their recipes yet. read more

"Carb" options are difficult and not always convenient or by any means easy for one with a Keto lifestyle. Valley Keto is a great option. I tried many options to get a full picture. . . . Everything Bagels - Shape was half muffin, half bagel. Flavor was great for a Bagel alternative. Texture was more of a pound cake which was not what I expected from a Bagel, but still a great flavor and plenty of everything topping. $12 for 4 "Bagels" Chocolate Chip Cookies - Texture was very soft and moist. Flavor was not really like a CCC but more of a Macaroon dipped in chocolate. Some were a little burnt around edges, but definitely a viable Cookie option. $10 for 6 Cookies Rye Bread - Texture was very dense. Flavor was very comparable to rye, though a quite dry. I had a Patty Melt with it which I haven't had since starting Keto and it was good but I needed up dissing the bread after the first half since it made me parched eating it. $9 for Half Loaf(about 4 slices and a roll leftover) Lemon Scones - Flavor was great! They were quite buttery, but I wish it had more crisp Lemon flavor. Texture was moist and not quite the scone I was expecting; more like a muffin. $10 for 4 Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf - Texture was dense but moist. Lots of Poppy Seeds but as for flavor, I again wish for a stronger Lemon flavor. $10 for a Loaf(the size of my hand, very small) Overall, great options but a little pricey for the portions, but the benefit is they do all the hard work. I will not be returning.. The large, older, greyhaired, caucasian/white lady behind the counter was exceptionally kind to an older caucasian/white couple. However, I cannot say the kindness was bestowed upon the two black/African American women who were there, or myself and my daughter. I don't like to make assumptions in cases like this, but what occurred here today was blatantly obvious and disgusting. On average I've spent over $40 a week here which equates to over $2,000 a year. I will never return here.. their loss, not mine. Negative zero s for customer service, or rather, avoidance thereof. I'm a HUGE fan of supporting local business, but moving forward Im not returning here, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this behavior be tolerated by anyone else either.
