Terrible clinic. I've been trying and trying to get a prescription filled (since last Tuesday) and I STILL can't get it filled. I took my last Levothyroxine, for my Hypothyroidism, this morning. And I won't be able to take it tomorrow. Apparently, the doctor - Dr. Paige - STILL hasn't sent it in to Bartell's. What the hell is she doing? Sitting around drinking coffee and eating donuts? I'm SO tired of dealing with this clinic. All the doctors do is sit on their butts, diagnose me with whatever it is I have, but don't offer a REAL solution to get rid of the problem. I need to get away from the Valley Medical group. But I don't know where else to look for an actual GREAT doctor. For the doctors, nurses, and other staff at Newcastle Primary Care: DO BETTER! I have been a patient at this primary care location for a few years so first let's start with the basics. The location is very easy to find once you know where it is. Set behind some trees if you're not prepared it will sneak up on you. There's plenty of parking and it is easy to navigate in and out of. The receptionists are pleasant, punctual, and efficient. The waiting room is large with lots of natural light pouring in and the obligatory rack of magazines and aquarium. I am starting to think that's a must for all doctor's offices. The nurses have always been great too. They are friendly, kind, and typically make me laugh. I don't frequent there enough to get to know them and I swear it is always someone new. Before I was a patient of Dr. Leticia Maragh. Well, the reviews regarding her aren't incorrect. She was very nice but she wasn't the most attentive. Once the office made a mistake and forgot to schedule all the annual exam tests at the same time so I had to return a week later. First words that Dr. Maragh said was how it had been forever since last I had been in. Now I get she has a lot of patients but the notes in my files clearly stated I had been in the week before. She also never really listened to me as there were a couple medicines I had been listed as allergic to which I stated I really didn't think I was. She just went about her visit without mentioning it. Awhile ago I received notification Dr. Maragh had left and I had to pick a new doctor. I didn't really want to but had to go in and they told me they only had one doctor seeing new patients and that was Dr. Punyapu. Dr. Punyapu has been the absolute best. I mean, right now I am ready to declare he's the best doctor I have had. He listens. I asked him about the medicines they listed me for being allergic. He asked about my symptoms when I took them. When I explained he then not only agreed I wasn't allergic but then showed and provided me literature to explain why my body reacted in the way it did to those medicines. He is great at explaining what is happening and showing. He doesn't just rattle off a diagnosis or order unnecessary tests. He sits down, prints out explanations, and walks me through the diagnosis. I like that! Dr. Punyapu is also super personable. He is warm, friendly, professional, and respectful. I never feel like his mind is elsewhere or he has to rush to the next appointment. He is engaged in the moment which is also a very pleasant change of pace. read more

If you are searching for a new Primary Care physician or possibly just want someone who listens to all of your health concerns, look no further than Dr. Aditi Dhar. Upon meeting with Dr. Dhar, she was exceptionally welcoming and professional. Throughout my entire visit I could tell that she was genuinely attentive to all of my issues and never once made me feel rushed. She took her time to examine me and was thorough with her questions pertaining to my injuries. She even went the extra mile to check for issues that may have been consistent with those injuries. Dr. Dhar's bedside manners were of a superior level, and her concern for her patients wellbeing is something so comforting and extremely rare. It's refreshing to know that you can ask her about any health concern and not feel uneducated or ignored. Needless to say I left her office having absolutely no other questions left unanswered, and that is so important when you don't have time to constantly worry or make multiple visits. My only advice to the patient is to speak up! If something feels wrong, say something. Doctors are not mind readers. Make a list before the visit if you need to, and Dr. Dhar will address all of those concerns. read more

Was a patient for 1.5 years then told to basically go away and find another doctor. Not a good place to go for women health issues. My fist appointment I asked for specific blood tests and they ran everything but. Overall, not impressed with the care by my NP/doc. The MA's were always super nice. Also, super hard to get an appointment when you are in pain. It seems they may be understaffed. read more

I'm a tough critic. The Valley Medicine Clinic in Newcastle is fabulous. I've tried several clinics in the greater Seattle /Bellevue area and Valley is the best. They are respectful to the patients, give loving care and are highly professional and efficient. The two doctors I work with are Dr Dhar and Dr Stevensson. They are very effecient and helpful to me during the Pandemic. I've also seen specialist at Vallwy's main hospital campus. All the doctors are compassionate, empathetic, professional and effective. I couldn't be happier to recommend this outstanding facility, staff and pactionaires, with associate to University WA Hospital should you need it. The doctors keep it simple, when they hear the hooves of horse they recognize it's horses not zebras. The doctors avoid, extra unnecessary testing. Most importantly, they always offer professional reliable guidance that makes me feel better. They truly are caregivers and healers. I wouldn't recommend this facility or Adam Stephenson to anyone. It is clear the Valley Medical organization is more concerned about numbers and how much profit they can suck out of everyone than actually providing health care for people. Having driven over 20 miles to get there after being directed to this facility by the Valley Medical phone center I was told the doctor would not see me. I was less than 10 minutes late and tried to explain that traffic was bad. The doctor didn't care. His time was so precious that even with my pressing medical concern he would not give me the time of day. Thanks for wasting so much of my time and tossing my health concerns out as if they were no big deal. Having tried to plead my case they simply told me to reschedule. Then they told me to find a place closer to home, after I told them how far away I had come from. After telling them I tried but the Valley Medical organization told me they were the closest facility seeing new patients, they told me to go to urgent care. One thing is clear with this medical establishment, people do not matter to them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the nurses at the birth center for your kindness and skilled care for me and my newborn son 9 months ago. Micah ended up in the NICU for Pulmonary Hypertension brought on after a scheduled c-section and ended stayed there for 6 days. Everyone was so wonderful that I am sad we moved out of state. I never want to have another baby anywhere else! Extra love to the lactation consultants, especially Jane. I truly believe we would not have been able to nurse for these past 9 month if they had not been so kind, patient and willing to continue on and even use a little ingenuity. The way he was born added so many complications to nursing that I believe without a shadow of a doubt they would have completely derailed us if not identified and and tackled by your skilled staff. Went in today for a follow-up appointment and I had a much better experience than my last visit. I was there a half hour early as requested, and the nurse got me right away after I was checked in. There were only a couple minutes of waiting before I was talking with my doctor! I was done meeting with him by the time my appointment was supposed to begin! I went up to Urgent Care for an Xray and I was in and out of Urgent Care in minutes. I couldn't have had a better experience! Dr. Stephenson is growing on me! I think he is best option for guys who need a primary care physician. The other doctors either have bad reviews, or are not accepting new patients at this time. I think the trick is going in before noon. My last appointment was in the afternoon and things were a bit more hectic. Time is money. VMC won't waste yours! read more

This is the worst Hospital ever. Not only did they not help me, they screwed up the financial so bad I'm still getting a bill 2 years later after I've already paid them in full. It took them a year to even send me a bill. They couldn't just send one bill they sent for every day for about a month, every little charged with a separate bill. The Keystone Cops and the Three Stooges together could have done a better job. I would call them and they don't even know how many bills I have or what I don't have or what I've paid and what or what i haven't paid all they ever do is say can you prove you paid it. I asked them to hold off to a certain date and I would pay them in full which I did. They immediately sent them off to collections so I had to pay more money. Now 2 years later I get another bill from them some for $15 they just sent it to collection so I had to pay 40. Good luck with these people they are the worst human beings on this Earth. Dr. Daniel Letinsky has been my personal physician since 2007. Dr. Letinsky actually approached me while I was fighting pneumonia @ Valley Medical. Dr. Letinsky proceeded to get me into a sleep study and had my sleep apnea diagnosed. This has probably saved my life. Since that time, Dr. Letinsky has continued to provide the utmost in professional care to me, taking the time during office visits to exchange family news, jokes and great conversation. Both my sons see a doctor in the primary care office. Staff is nice and ease of getting appointments is great. Wait time is sometimes a little long but still happy here. Better than the clinic though is the on site urgent care. It is open everyday and super quick to get into. Waaaay better than having to go to an ER or waiting for a doctors appt. One of the worst medical clinic on the east side. (1) their phone system is designed very bad, you have to take 30 minutes to book an appointment. The operator will ask every detail question and will do a lot of manual check up. Waste a lot of my time. (2) their bill system is unethical. I have a physical annual exam, and after it, the clinic sent me bill with some office visit. I have been doing physical exam for more than 10 years, this is the first time that they bill me office visit. I called them, they tried to find some detail of my visit that is not in the scope of a physical exam, which is ridiculous! This review is for Dr Maragh, I call her Dr WebMD. I feel like I may as well have just stayed home and diagnosed myself on the internet. I would never recommend her to anyone EVER. She always seems like she has somewhere better to be and she's only half listening to you. I had a HORRIFIC cough which I'm pretty sure was bronchitis and may have even turned into walking pneumonia, but she totally played it down and was like come see me if it gets worse. Finally after a number of visits she gave me an antibiotic, but didn't tell me that's what it was. She basically said "if you feel it gets worse take this". I feel like she is only trying to make money and wants the patient come back multiple times just like another reviewer said. She also seemed more interested in trying to set up an appointment for a PAP, she is not a gynecologist and should stick to what she think she knows. I made an appointment for this Monday two weeks prior to coming in. I received a reminder call Friday. Then had a missed call from them on the Monday of the appointment. Called back and listened to an automated system for awhile before I hung up. I was out of town but came back for the appointment. Showed up and was told my appointment had been cancelled and that they had tried to call but no one answered. I was very surprised that they didn't call back being as the first call was at 9am and my appointment wasn't until 4:15. I'm just very disappointed in their lack of follow through with a patient. I was only out of town, what if I had taken off work or something else to make the appointment. One call where no one answered isn't very good patient care if you ask me. This review is for the front desk and management. My husband and I had called and about a week ago to schedule for our annual health check. In order to be there together at the same time, they had separate us with two different doctors, which was fine. When we showed up for our appointments together at 8:30am. The front desk said I was late for mine appointment. And she said mine was at 8:15 and my husband is not late. I was 100% sure that I was told on phone that both of our appointment were at 8:30. She also said I needed to show up early as I was new patient. Yes I was new patient for that doctor but I was told on phone that my information was all in the system and I do not need to show up early. I was an Overlake patient, but no more. The quality of care and personal attention is just so much better at Valley Med. The waiting is ridiculously long! Our family has been going to this place three times and we have never been seen by a doctor (or a nurse for that matter) within an hour. On a recent visit, the waiting was almost two hours ... and that was before 9 AM. They had only ONE doctor on staff (same doctor on all visits). Dr James Park and his nurse basically bullied me into getting my son the full round of CDC recommended vaccines at his two-month well-child appointment, after I clearly expressed I wasn't ready, I hadn't done enough research on the subject yet. It was 8 years ago, I was young and naive and by using threats of the harm and possible death that would come to my child if I didn't get him vaccinated immediately, right then and there, I was convinced out of fear to get it done. He had a bad reaction and I've been pissed off at their tactics since. Never going back. I actually liked Dr Park otherwise, if you have to bring your child here, see Dr Park instead of the others. I've been unfortunate enough to have my child seen by Dr Amit Joshi and Dr Trisha Pollara, and those two are the absolute worst. They will shame you if you decide to temporarily delay vaccines. They clearly do not believe parents should have any say in the medical treatment of their own children. Also... Dr Park has NO understanding of the proper care for an intact (Not circumcised) penis. He forcibly retracted my son as a baby and could have caused serious damage. A doctor of all people should understand the basic care of an intact penis, when intact DON'T retract! read more

In general, I've found it difficult to find a good family doctor. In the past, I've used my OB as my primary just to avoid have to look for family practice. After moving here, I tried another doctor in the area (see my other review) and had the type of experience I expected. Well, a year later I decided it was time to try again. Mainly just for a physical, cholesterol screening, that type of thing. Valley medical is near my home and I like that it's part of UW medicine so I decided to give it a try. Dr. Leticia Maragh was available which I was a little hesitant about given other reviews. I actually ended up having a really good experience with her. Granted, this was for a well visit unlike some of the other reviewers. I was able to get in with in one week and the wait time was almost zero. When I did finally see her I felt like she asked a lot of questions about my health history and took time to listen and discuss any questions I had. She gave me the option for additional OB exam and actually recommended against it given the timing of my prior exam. It felt to me that she was trying to avoid up-charging me for things I didn't really need. As part of the physical blood work was also needed-- I thought it was awesome that she ordered it and then the clinic sends someone to the room to draw the blood. I didn't have to go somewhere else to get it done-- I avoided a whole appointment that way! The entire appointment was about 30 minutes and I felt great about it-- I had the doctor's undivided attention, she wasn't rushed and I felt she listened to me and suggested things that only I truly needed. I was in a car accident and was sent to see a pill seller disguised as a doctor. He knew of my injuries and never once examined me. I came in with a torn rotator cuff among several other injuries and all he did was tell me that he could get me some Viagra. Most pitiful excuse for a doctor I have ever seen! I have left several messages and inquiries for the director and have received no response. I have been rear ended 2 more times since then and still have never been examined. It seems to me that all they do is try and milk your insurance for services that they actually don't render. read more

We went there because it was too late to see our primary care doctor (who is amazing)at the clinic downstairs. Our 14-year-old son was complaining about increasing abdominal pain, and it was unlike any pain he had before. He has a history of intestinal blockages, but this was much different. Dr.(?) Mehta came out to check on him; he was somehow hurried and absolutely not interested in anything I or the front desk lady were trying to tell him. After hearing that my son was not vomiting, Mr. Mehta simply stated that it is possibly appendix, and PUNCHED my son's belly so hard that he screamed from pain. In all these years, I have never seen any doctor punching my son's aching belly, no matter how strong the pain was! Then, Mr. Mehta insisted that I should take my son to the emergency room MYSELF. I was too distressed to drive in the dark, rain, and peak traffic all the way to Seattle, and kept asking for an ambulance. But Mr. Mehta kept refusing since "the ambulance will take 20-30 min until it gets here anyway". In the meantime, my son was almost fainting from pain in a chair that the lady found for him, his face turned white-green, and his shirt was literally soaked from sweat. I was panicking as this was a condition I have never seen on him before. One of the front desk ladies called, and the paramedics arrived within 2-3 minutes, kept taking our son's vitals and were shocked since something "dropped by 40 on me", they had to double check their instruments. Mr. Mehta never came back to even check on my son. The ambulance came shortly after, and we were able to arrive at Seattle Children's within 15 minutes. The same night an emergency surgery followed for small intestine bursts in two places, and we will never know if one of them was not caused by that punch. I will never go back to Newcastle Urgent Care. I hope Mr. Mehta will read this and think before he ever punches anyone again. And I will always call 911. read more

Don't waste your time with Dr. Leticia Maragh. There is a reason she is always accepting new patients. She will make you pay 5 co pays before she will actually give some useful advice/proper medication. But then again I wouldn't know that because by the 3rd visit I was out. I also felt like I was being talked down too instead of being actually helped. This as a warning to all those who can't afford multiple visits to the doctor. I unlike Dr. Maragh am writing this to save you some money and time. read more
