The head priest greeted me and is very friendly and told me what to do: After removing my shoes and socks, washed my hands and placed a head scarf (available if you did not bring one), you proceed to the main area to pray. No cell phones at that point so I didn't take any pictures. I sat down on the soft carpet and prayed. The Sikh temple is open to everyone, which I love religions who accept anyone so I will pray to whoever will listen to my prayers. Felt really good especially during these trying times. Then he told me to come eat. I was actually surprised because I thought meals were only served on Sundays, which he told me is their liveliest day so come from 11-2. There was Basmati rice, naan bread and a curry of potatoes, onions and peas. I then sat on the floor mat and thoroughly enjoyed my surprise meal peacefully. Chai tea and water is also available and I was able to get seconds too. Always good practice to provide a donation of any kind to pay it forward and for good karma. There is a little donation box near the food and a huge calendar for people to sign up for meal prep. Highly recommend visiting anytime! I parked on the neighboring streets nearby.

Couple negatives was that there was no air conditioning (at least not that day) I didn't see the whole inside so there may be more i'm not commenting on. The parking is also a little funky and the area around it isn't the most impressive. Still its a solid venue to perform a wedding in. The reception would have to be somewhere else in my opinion.

I had to find out if this church still exists by checking their hours online. I was good to go. Walked in yesterday morning at 10AM for their 10:30 mass. And the only mass on a Sunday! Other churches that I have been to have more than one mass. Got a very nice welcome from their security guard by the name of Fred. He was the only African American in that church. He was also very nice, kind and doing what he was supposed to do: keeping everyone protected and safe. As I was getting ready to walk inside, a lovely, young lady was standing by the door welcoming everyone by giving out the program, some water and coffee. No refreshments until the service was over. Walked in and was mesmerized by the stunning architecture of this beautiful church. I mean it has so much history and detail embedded inside. AMAZING!!! High ceiling with beautiful, bright lights, Mosaic windows, a table where they had some books, bibles, pamphlets, note pads, pens/pencils. The pews were nice and long on each side. The service/sermon is conducted 90% of the time in English and the 10% in Armenian. Church was very full of Armenian and non Armenian people. They had a choir, a nice band and a very young fellow playing the grand piano. I am seriously considering joining the choir, because I know that I have a very beautiful voice and can even sing better than them. Few things stood out that were not very soothing nor pleasant. First, they have their favorites. Not everyone was welcoming nor were they friendly. Second, within 15 minutes of being there, the donation basket was circulating among people. Like we had anywhere else to go and they really needed that $ or few more $$$. I call that being greedy. Other things: they don't hold any weddings, funerals, meetings, baptism. I guess it's just a place for worship. God's presence was very powerful, which I loved. Another thing that stood out was that when you accept the Eucharist, which represents Jesus's body-- it was like a Ritz cracker, except 20 times smaller. In other churches they actually give you a nice piece of bread, that you can even put some butter/cream cheese, jelly on it :-)). They have a nice, big parking lot, restrooms for each gender. Walked into the women's restroom and it was like a room of it's own. It had nice decor and a clean couch that one can take a 20 minute nap on. I tried not to:-)) Church was also very clean and well maintained. They have a gym for Men's basketball on Mondays at 7pm, and Tuesdays at 7:30pm, they have a Bible Study class and other programs like Sunday school for kids. No banquet hall for any other special occasion. I found that odd. Landscape was well maintained. They have 3 ministers that cover their service. Nick, who opened the service was wonderful, and Rev. Hendrik Shanazarian conducted the rest of the service by finishing with a beautiful benediction. The best part was talking to the security guard as I was exiting this lovely, beautiful church that I will try to come whenever God is calling me home..

Pastor Haig gives great sermons and he also leads the Armenian ministry (2nd Friday of the month at 7:30pm). They have a Spanish ministry as well. Translation services are available. Lots of bible study and community group opportunities for adults and kids. We feel safe coming to this church; they also have security. The congregation is loving and friendly. We have lots of activities/events (Christmas, Armenian Christmas, Fall Fest, Resurrection Sunrise service, VBS, etc). There is a men's ministry, women's ministry, couples gathering, counseling, and more. After service we have fellowship hour which includes coffee and light snacks. I'm not sure what the previous comment is talking about about TMBC being wasteful. They utilize resources very well. They also give back to the community in many ways. The street vendors have been an ongoing issue for the residents that live in the neighborhood as well as for our church. The vendors use drugs, defecate and urinate in front of our church even when children are present, and the vendors have gotten violent with church goers (even pulled out a weapon on one of our members). The vendors have thrown used syringes into our property. We've invited the vendors to church but they have gotten hostile with us and they illegally block sidewalks/walkways. We've had to be careful with when the gates are opened and closed to ensure everyone's safety and I believe the church has done an amazing job with that. All of our guests have been pleased with TMBC. We encourage everyone to come visit and put their trust in Jesus, and become part of the TMBC family.

Before the church merged and became The Mount it was easy going now they don't allow certain people to certain areas. I got kicked out of a room for just sitting there during service time, away from the main church and then got kicked out after church. Reason was they said there's kids around( during service). Ok so after service the room has no kids then they kick us out again. I said put up a sign and no response. Then I went into the kitchen area entered the kitchen area from the back and just to get coffee and they kicked us out again. This place wastes money too. Keeping the lights, hiring a security guard, filling up a big coffee machine and throwing out over half the size of the machine left when they have the option to use a smaller machine. They also don't think when they have leftover food and coffee to save it or give it. I'm the main one who takes it otherwise it's mostly tossed. On event days later in the day why not save the leftover coffee. No they toss it and make new coffee. That's a waste of resources and money. Stay away from this church you have a better time elsewhere Even leaving stuff in the main room or other room they make it a big deal to take it. This place is way too picky. They don't even recycle cans and bottles even though they have blue bins. The front entrance of the church was opened and closed at certain times which is so dumb cause if you want people to visit during Sunday then leave it open and close it later on when everything is done. Theres trust issues. This same day the pastor talked about helping others out like the homeless, etc First Baptist church was better. We even tried to donate clothes for the church to send to another country but they didn't want it. Added on 3-11-24 I think they are attacking me and my youngest brother cause we go in the rooms to get coffee so it doesn't get tossed and I turn off the lights and tv ------- 5-24-26 Wonder how my review got deleted and this place got 5 stars, my dad told me yesterday how this place turns on the sprinklers on the street venders. I discovered Restored from driving by a…read morefew times, and being recommended to me, plus seeing the 5 star reviews on here gave me hope. At first I arrived very nervous, not sure what to expect. Are people going to look at me funny or judge me? But I got the complete opposite at Restored. I can tell this definitely feels like one big family here. Everyone is so genuinely nice and friendly, not the fake kind of nice. I loved the message today about what it takes to be a healthy leader. I got emotional at some points, but I also had some laughs from the pastor's jokes. I've been trying to find a church to go to since I've been wanting to go back to my faith in Jesus, and so far Restored seems like the church I will be attending. Can't wait for Sundays!!
