There was a slight issue with the water but once the owner was made aware he had it fixed in probably under an hour. All in all great service. The only subpar thing about my time there was it snowed really heavily in the area before and while we were there and the plowed pile of snow blocked the view on the road when you tried to pull out of the parking lot so we had a hard time seeing the cars coming 40+ miles toward us. Though, I don't think that was the fault of the ranch, just something to keep in mind in the winter months.

Mike did a great job plowing the road so often that the roads stayed safe to go into town the next day even after a foot of snowfall overnight! The road to the trailhead can be bumpy and their vans power through. Not to mention on an August Saturday, the parking at Colchuck Lake will be full by 430, so having someone drop you off is helpful. The drivers were friendly, fun and gave good tips on conditions and the hike. FYI - parking at the Snow Lakes lot at 450 on a Saturday was full and had to park on the road.

I'd found an interpretive trail online, Icicle River Nature Trail, and while there are no signs…read moreanywhere in the area that we could find, it turns out it's here at the hatchery. The place is huge, although outside of a few groups of children and guides on tours, there weren't a lot of people around. We found our way to the trail past the hatchery tanks and followed most of the winding paths. As far as wildlife today, we were only able to spot one lizard, some butterflies and birds. The trail itself was fairly uneventful. The mountain views were stunning, but there wasn't a lot more to see today. As we wandered back to the parking lot we took a peek at a few different sections of tanks, most of which were empty, but we were able to see fish in a couple. I was definitely very happy to see a sweet little pollinator garden near the entrance.

RUINED my husbands Birthday Weekend plans! These guys are unorganized, unprofessional, and…read moredishonest. Unless they can figure out a way to truly make it right, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. We were excited to book their Aspen Meadow Retreat, and secured our July booking on June 1st after scoping out the area for a couple of weeks to find the perfect fit for our group. This is an area that generally books out months in advance in the peak summer and winter seasons, so we were very pleased that it was still available and had everything we needed. Our stay was confirmed and we reached out to our group to finalize plans--- which included family traveling from out of state and another party coming in from out of the country. Not to mention, we also have another family group who planned to celebrate in leavenworth with us, who booked another nearby vacation rental to accomodate their large party. On June 10 (10 Days after our booking was paid for and confirmed), I received an email from Charles (not a call, an EMAIL!) letting me know that there was a "miscommunication" regarding their listing availability and that the house we booked was no longer available. He tried to offer us another one of their listings in its stead, however, that listing was a big downgrade, and didn't at all meet our group needs. I called in to find out what happened and was told by a different colleague/employee that the owners of the house had requested those dates be blocked off for their use, but the request wasn't put into their system, so we were allowed to book it when it really wasn't available. Not only did it take them 10 DAYS to reach out with notice of their mistake, but their system CHARGED us the remaining balance for the booking the day AFTER I received the email from Charles. So we paid IN FULL for a booking, and didn't receive notice that we couldn't stay there until 10 Days after booking it. Here's the kicker-- as I mentioned nice listings in the area book up quickly, all of the other decent options for us in the area(that were available on the day we booked this listing) are NO LONGER AVAILABLE because they have been booked up. IF these guys had their sh*t together, we could have booked another place that would have suited our needs in time, and we wouldn't be in this position. So now, we have a group who has committed to another rental in the area (past the cancellation window) for that weekend, family coming in from out of state AND country, with NO place to stay that will accommodate our needs. With only a month until the intended weekend, turns out that most of the decent places in the ENTIRE state of WA are actually already booked up. After talking to them in person, they "officially" cancelled and refunded our trip, and tried to make amends by offering a 10% discount for a future stay if we wish to visit another weekend. Real cute, but a 10% discount doesn't even BEGIN to rectify the headache this ordeal has caused. Now, here's the coup de grace that really tanks any faith I have in this rental company: after receiving the news that our booked AND PAID FOR vacation rental was no longer available for us to use that weekend, I was FRANTICALLY searching additional rentals in the area so that we can secure something and salvage my husbands birthday weekend.. when what do I see?.. THE SAME HOUSE IS LISTED AS AVAILABLE ON VRBO FOR THOSE EXACT DATES AT A MUCH HIGHER RATE! (see screenshots) At this point I can't tell if these guys are truly this incompetent or if they're just another scam ring trying to bamboozle tourists to extract as much cash as possible. Either way, I'm sick to my stomach thinking about what an awful experience this has been.

The place was huge and brand new. Although there were only two of us staying, it could easily have accommodated 2-4 more people,. This unit featured two spacious balconies, lots of hangers, luggage racks. dishes cleaning supplies, and state of the art sound and video.We had no issues at all locating the unit or getting in as Love Leavenworth rentals is staffed by very professional, knowledgeable people who are available twenty four hours a day. Location and parking couldn't have been better! We had two spaces and a location right in the middle of downtown Leavenworth and above a really cool clothing store, a bakery, and a wine/cigar store. I would definitely recommend unit #31 to anyone looking for a very upscale, comfortable, and super modern place to stay!!! This place had all the comforts of home +more. Price was great and we found it on one of the newer rental sites VXXX. Don't you dare hesitate to book unit $31 if it is available!
