We had 5 people, playing 3 and 2 and were rudely threatened that if we played a 5 we would be kicked off the course (we hadn't even asked), we never saw anyone in front of or behind us, until the 17th hole. We could have easily played a five-some and had no issues. I would expect a hell of a lot more for $158!

Our tour group was told we could not sit by the windows and enjoy the view because we were "with a tour and not paying customers." Considering many of us paid nearly $2,000 for this trip, that was insulting. We were also not allowed to order from the regular menu and pay ourselves if we wanted something else. Unfortunately, the meal provided left me sick for going on 2 days. The resort itself also had several maintenance and convenience issues. The ice machine on our floor was broken, the snack machine and soda machine was nearly empty, and the shower had VERY poor water pressure. The gift shop closed before 7 p.m., making it impossible to purchase basic necessities when needed. There was also very little to do in the evenings. The pool closes at 8 p.m., and by 7 p.m. most activities and amenities seemed to be shut down, leaving guests with few options other than returning to their rooms to watch TV. Overall, the resort did not meet my expectations, particularly regarding accessibility, guest experience, and customer service.

Tube Park Review…read more This review is specific to the Tube Park. Highly recommend getting tickets ahead of time online. All sessions for the day were sold out when we visited. The lodge area for the tube park is very small, so don't expect to be able to change clothing quickly inside due to how busy it is. There's a fire place inside and a huge fire pit outside. Very small concession inside with about 8-10 small snack items to choose from. The staff here are top notch - very kind to each other and talkative to visitors. 10 minutes before the session starts, the group gets a safety briefing and reviews the rules. There's a nurse/medic on site. This is fun for the whole family. 1200 feet long and very fast. Be sure to read the requirements online for kids. Extra safety precautions are taken onsite for young kids.

We stayed in a short rental home but spend time at the Alpine Lodge. We swam in the indoor pool, rented canoes and also spent time at the lake/beach. It was so quiet and quaint. It was like Gatlinburg, but without the crowds. It is great for hiking. It's a hidden gem. Some might say the lodge was dated but it was clean. We liked that it was simple and quiet. It allowed quality family time.

Live Bowhunters running around the property ruined my 2024 Holiday...as the board refused to tell residents when and where they would be out looking to kill deer. Residents are not allowed to hunt, a strict no hunting policy, but the Board let some unregistered, unlicensed, unbonded company in for over 3 months! They will bleed you dry for funds if they can find a way. Get rid of the HOA and its great. :)

First, the disclosures: - 18-20 handicapper…read more- I prefer cheap tracks w/ no dress code. - I usually walk, and I'm a sucker for scenery. I've played here about 50 times, and I can't believe they only charge $10 to walk as many holes as you want on a weekday. It's $28 to play 18 with a cart on weekends. So, why so cheap? - The fairway and rough grass is basically as god made it. Now, all that said, it's 5-stars because: - It's not an easy course. - The greens are pretty well kept. All the sins of a cheapo golf course are forgiven when the greens are in good enough shape. - It's pretty. It's right there along the Catoctins. - Folks are friendly. I brought my son here a lot, and they never charged me more than a few bucks (if at all).
