I have been here for gas and restroom breaks in the past. Staff are usually friendly. Nice size parking lot. Most recently, I was so tired and had to drop by here to rest (aka sleep). I parked in front of Taco Bell. Their dine-in area was closed at the time. Drive-thru may have been still open. Anyway, I meant to rest for 20 minutes, but ended up sleeping for an hour LOL. I can always rely on Chevron for gas and ExtraMile for drinks & snacks and restrooms. Prices may be a bit higher than other brands, but they seem to be available when I need them most. The facility sublets space to Fatburger, Cinnabon, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, KFC, Subway, and Yogurtland. However, based on the hour of our visit, all of these kiosks were closed. In summation: Chevron branded gasoline; clean restroom; and a convenience store open 24hrs.

It has a bunch restaurants, a boba shop, Thrifty ice cream, some miscellaneous shops and even a liquor store. The trains that you see on the outside are actually the dine in area. Pretty cool. I wondered in here one day and didn't realize this was a truck stop because there was a Denny's on…read morethe side of it and I just thought it was a Denny's. Turns out the Denny's is connected to the truck stop. Flying J has everything or almost everything you're looking for if you're a traveler. I came back at night and wanted to peruse the snack aisles. While I was there, I noticed they have showers and you can pay for it and wait for your number to be called to take a shower. Also, they have both Coke and Pepsi products at the soda dispenser station. Wanted a sweet treat and got one Cinnabon in a box. Katima (?) helped me out and she was very pleasant and even suggested warming up my Cinnabon at the microwave they have available for use, at the Travel Center. If you're staying at one of the many hotels off Lenwood or stopping through, I highly suggest getting a snack, drink or shower here. There's no CVS or Target in these parts and this is the closest thing to it.

They usually house a Chester's Chicken within and their fried gizzards are mmmmm mmmmm good! For the past two weekends I've gone to Las Vegas and both times stopped at the Love's in Barstow. Both times we were actually greeted by the cashier as we walked in. I don't know if that has happened to me at any gas station let alone consistently two weeks in a row by different people. And the workers at the Chester's were so super sweet and friendly. Is it living in Barstow that has everyone so nice? Maybe I've been underestimating this area. Last week Semaj hooked us up with some freshly fried gizzards. They were a little on the salty side but Semaj was so sweet and so cool that didn't stop me from enjoying them. This was my friends first time trying gizzards and she's hooked too. Barstow is too far to just make a gizzard run but this Love's is definitely going to be my regular stop to and from my Vegas runs.
