I wondered in here one day and didn't realize this was a truck stop because there was a Denny's on the side of it and I just thought it was a Denny's. Turns out the Denny's is connected to the truck stop. Flying J has everything or almost everything you're looking for if you're a traveler. I came back at night and wanted to peruse the snack aisles. While I was there, I noticed they have showers and you can pay for it and wait for your number to be called to take a shower. Also, they have both Coke and Pepsi products at the soda dispenser station. Wanted a sweet treat and got one Cinnabon in a box. Katima (?) helped me out and she was very pleasant and even suggested warming up my Cinnabon at the microwave they have available for use, at the Travel Center. If you're staying at one of the many hotels off Lenwood or stopping through, I highly suggest getting a snack, drink or shower here. There's no CVS or Target in these parts and this is the closest thing to it. read more

Lots of snacks options and both hot and cold food. I ordered two slices of pizza for $8.50. I got the Meat Lovers and Pepperoni. The toppings were aplenty and nicely crisped. Overall, great for a quick pitstop for some hardy food. Not too sure about their restrooms though. read more

stop by last night on a long drive, and honestly glad I stopped her. the whole store was so clean. even the coffee station, usually late at night places like this are just not kept. This flying J has been a frequent stop when camping/RVing in the surrounding desert. We have used it for their clean and well organized store as well as for their RV dump station and fresh water fill up. The dump station is clean and offers an automated payment system ($10 at the time of this post). No hassle and easy to use. Will continue coming here when in the area. read more

This Flying J is above the majority of locations I've visited. Their parking lot is kept clean. There's a guy with a street sweeper going around the lot every few hours. Also, they have great overnight RV parking for those who needs to catch some rest for a few hours. Flying J have great food, but if you want something a little different there are plenty of restaurants around the vicinity. Can't go wrong making a stop here! read more

Flying J Travel Center is a 7 Eleven on Steroids. It is attached to a Denny's. Has fueling stations for cars and trucks. They have showers which is very important for truck drivers. Packaged Cinnabon rolls. Self checkout lanes. Near hotels and other restaurants. Another good choice if you are making a pitstop for that long trip. read more

Ah the Flying J. What a catchy name. This is a great pit stop and usually set this as our waypoint whenever we find ourselves headed to/from the Las Vegas area. It's crazy how such a not so nice city is so busy due to its location at the crossroads. This place is big, but pales in comparison to the ones in Texas. Still plenty of stuff in it, and most importantly, clean restrooms. You can pretty much get any junk food you need here and they got pizzas and other hot items to order for some grub. Noticed this place is a popular truck stop too and saw they have a trucker's lounge and showers and stuff. Cool place. read more

Gismos, gadgets, radios, CB's, food, sodas, jackets, shirts..etc...etc... so much junk that I love to look at. love this place. Restaurants are usually 3 to 3 1/2 stars. Always friendly service despite truckers drifting in telling their life history or war stories. Poor waitress! I don't drink coffee...but..I was so tired and went to the coffee machine... Extra large cup...pushed this button and the smell was awesome. Just that smell alone began to wake me up... My friends laugh and say, "try a little of that." So I fill my cup to the top with it...and they're still laughing... Wow...I feel great...and really wide awake now... What I actually did; was fill my cup to the top with only extra high caffine. One shot is supposed to give you a good jolt... I was so tired..I couldn't see straight. Now I had drank a whole cup full of this stuff... Yeaaah...I'm wide awake... Stopped for gas and bathroom break on way to CA. Bathrooms were cleaned, plenty of snacks and food items. Wetzel pretzels and some other eatery inside the center. Lotto sold here as well. Overall would recommend as a stop for gas and miscellaneous items. read more

As truck stops goes, this is one of the best. It's always on our list when we head out to California. We will stop sometimes both ways. The bathroom accommodations are always clean, the store itself is always busy. We usually browse the "truck" stuff, pick up some soda, stretch our legs and then head back out. Sometimes they have some really fresh baked goods, like cookies and muffins, but this time didn't see any of that. I think we may have tried the restaurant once or twice, it was as coffee shops go, decent. Always a trusted site for stopping, stretching the legs, hitting the head, picking up some fuel for both you and the car! read more

Clean restrooms!!! Clean overall. Welcoming staff. Didn't find the ice tea easily, so went with an iced coffee. SO many coffee choices. Same 4 flavors, whether syrup or individual. Would like to see cinnamon or a chai choice. And, they now have Cinnabons made on site! Took everything to walk by it! read more

This gas station is conveniently located off the 15 Freeway in Barstow. They have probably the cheapest gas on the way to Las Vegas (or on the way to California if you're going the opposite way) and I stop here all the time. Just take the Lenwood exit (go straight after you exit from the 15N, or make two lefts after you exit from the 15S). There are plenty of pumps so there's really not much of a wait if you're looking to get gas. There's also a large variety of food/snacks/drinks in the gas station's food mart. There's also a Denny's inside if you're looking to sit down and take a break from your lengthy drive. There's a trucker's area on the right side of the food mart, where there are also restrooms, washers/dryers, and a TV with some seating. For those looking for propane, they have that too! read more

Been here a few times while on my way to or from Vegas. I like the cleanliness of the establishment and the ease of getting to it from the freeway. Most of the other options require you to go pretty deep into town to fill up or grab a bite. They also offer showers, for those of you who suffer from HBO and I'm not referring to the cable network either. Most times, they offer BOGO deals on "meat sticks" or soda. I came in one time and their pumps weren't working, so I had to go to another place to fill up. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. Their staff are always courteous and eager to help. Selected this location in Barstow for fuel as a halfway location between Ventura County and the Amargosa Valley in Nevada. It would also be our very first use of our Good Sam card, which was to provide a welcome 8 cent per gallon discount on diesel. Pulling a trailer however, it was a bit awkward getting here from the eastbound offramp on the 15 freeway. Waze had us go south and then direct us to make a u-turn, which isn't what you want to hear when pulling a 27 foot trailer. We made the turnaround luckily in a parking lot which just happened to have enough room for us to maneuver around to flip into the opposite direction on the road. If planning to use this location for fuel when traveling eastbound, it would be helpful to know where you are going to make your turn once you exit if pulling a trailer. As for amenities, two lanes for RVS offered in addition to fuel, water and dumping options. Nice for RVers. read more

Big and new. You are most likely to find a free pump quickly. I would expect a gas station in Nevada to offer prices that will be more competitive. But this is their pricing and it is up to you if you are ok with paying a lot for gas. I got gas, a snack, and headed back to the 15. Happy I stopped here and get ready for the long drive. read more

Came here on late night early morning little drowsy from the long flight n drive. Still had a couple of hours to travel so I stopped here for gas as well as snacks. I remember grabbing the 2 gingerale because it said 2/$4 updating that my receipt reflects something otherwise. Makes me wonder did young Male clerk purposely do so. Best place to get gas in Barstow. They have reasonable prices on gas (it was $2.36 a gallon when we filled up). There are clean bathrooms. There are tons of snacks and food to purchase for your trip. What else can you ask for?! read more
