There aren't a lot of recent reviews so I wanted to leave one. This office is clearly very understaffed - if you are a new OB patient, there are no appointments available until you're 12 weeks+ along (some providers did not have availability until 14+ weeks which, at that point, they should just be marked as unavailable/not taking new patients). Whatever provider you see for your first appointment is the one you're stuck with all pregnancy (I was told I'd need to "ask permission" to switch). I was told there are no same/next day/urgent appointments available at all, and if I was having any concerns before my 12 week (!!) appointment to "just go to the ER, but there's nothing anyone can do about a miscarriage that early" (except.. tell you if symptoms you're experiencing are likely a miscarriage, as it's emotional agony to be bleeding and not sure if it's going to get better or worse..) When I pointed out how expensive and unnecessary that is the person on the phone just said "well, we can't help you in the office." So, if you have a miscarriage, you will miscarry alone because they don't have the capacity to care for you. I had an amazing birth experience at Valley in 2020 and it's depressing that this clinic is the only option left since Associated Valley moved to Swedish. I did have a good experience with Amy Steers, though we only chatted through MyChart - she seems very caring. read more

I cannot say enough good things. My nurse was so sweet, she had a good sense of humor and kept me feeling positive. Dr.Clay is a goddess! She explained every single thing she was doing so that I would be comfortable, and was very concerned with making sure my pain levels were tolerable. She made what could have been a quite agonizing procedure quick and nearly painless. On top of the fact she took the time to answer my many many questions and verbally walked me through this procedure and another I was thinking about getting. Without at any point and time trying to rush me through or get me out of the office (THAT IS SO RARE). She seemed to genuine through all of it and actually happy to help. I cannot give her enough praise. Thank you guys so much. read more

I was a hysterectomy patient shortly before the quarantine, and I'm on the fence about Valley Women's Clinic. Dealing with the front desk staff made me just weary. Once you're in their system, everything - appointment scheduling, reminders, instructions - is done online through MyChart, which I love, and which is good, since phone skills aren't their thing, as I found on the few occasions when immediate contact was necessary. Apparently scheduling is a challenge as well, since I was called more than once to have an appointment rearranged - not due to deliveries or emergencies, but because "You were scheduled on a day when the doctor will be at the hospital." (That might not be a direct quote, but it's pretty close.) There was a battery of tests that I needed before surgery, which the doctor forgot to issue orders for... So the (incredibly wonderful and competent!) Star Clinic was none too happy to see me the day before surgery to rush tests that should have been done two weeks prior. Medication errors were made after surgery, giving me and the poor nurses at the hospital quite a rough night. Three weeks after surgery, I was dealing with terrible menopausal symptoms, which I had been told to expect, and that hormone therapy was always an option. Upon reporting my hot flashes, fatigue, and near constant crying, the surgeon suddenly decided that I didn't need estrogen to deal with menopausal symptoms, just Effexor. (After a complete hysterectomy, mind you.) And while I was summoned to the office to discuss these issues, my final post-op checkup two weeks later was cancelled and I was released to work without an actual physical examination "due to the quarantine." (I understand, I'm taking the lockdown seriously... But both events took place while while the Shelter In Place order was in effect, and the work release seemed far more important to me!) I won't say there were no positives. The surgery itself went well. The medical assistants are top notch - they answered all my questions completely and gave helpful tips. And my understanding is that the clinic is a wonderful place to be if you are going to have a baby, which nearly all of the other patients were. So maybe they're just better with pregnancy than with the other end of the spectrum! I hope so. Good luck... But get to your appointment at least 20 minutes early, because their parking situation is quite limited, and you may be in for a walk! read more

Dr. Price and nurse Tammy are amazing! Dr. Price is very personable and we have enjoyed her as our doctor. Tammy always answers my questions thoroughly and provides detailed tips and information. Only gets two stars because Dr Tagavilla is a good OBGYN, and Dr Sleeter who delivered my son did a fantastic job with my C-section. Other than that, the whole staff is rude, never called for appointment reminders, never returned phone calls for the credit that i had on my account which was to be paid back last month (and still have yet to receive my check). I was also blatantly LIED to b Dr Tag's assistant. Said that he had surgery and I couldn't come in for my appointment on that day, yet, that same day, I called later (when he was to be in surgery), and they said he was in the office all day. Barb Golay is a JOKE. She is one of the most rudest ARNP's i have ever met and should be fired. I am surprised that woman still has a job. Please, don't waste your time in this facility. Go to the actual UW Medicine Valley Hospital Affiliated Women's Clinic. And, let me let you be aware, I have been going to this office for over 10 years. Its just over the last year that I have had issues with this office. Customer service = 0. Don't waste your time with this NON-affiliated office. Lots of State Assisted/Welfare folks go to this office, too. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised with this place. It is kinda hard to find, the numbers for the building are on the back side, so I drove around on accident. I suggest parking in the garage and walking across the street vs trying to find something in the lot. This clinic is located on the 4th floor. Everyone here was super nice and friendly. Appointments were booked out about a month in advance, just a warning. Checking in was easy, and not much paperwork to deal with. The nurse that was with me made me feel very at ease about my appointment, warm welcoming smile and kind words. Didn't take long for the doctor to come in. I haven't been feeling well in over a year, and this is the first place that has actually ran some decent tests and given me useful information. I'm terrified of hospitals and going to the doctor, but I felt very comfortable throughout my entire visit - and I felt like I was being taken care of. The doctor spent about 30-45 minutes in the room with me, more than any primary care doctor ever has, and was very involved with asking me questions and trying to come up with solutions for me. I would say I'll be back, but the doctor I saw is moving locations and I really liked her and will be following her to the new place. But if for some reason it's an emergency and I can't get in to see her for a long time, I would totally come back here. read more

Excellent care while pregnant with both my kids. I loved my Dr, she was knowledgeable and attentive to my needs. The nurse line always got back to me right away when I called a million times during my first pregnancy. They fit me in right away for unexpected appointments, flexible scheduling, and I love that they have ultrasound machines in the clinic. They are part of the VMC hospital so that was great, I knew they would be there for me when I had the baby in the VMC birth center. Now that I am not pregnant I will not go here for regular gyn stuff because it takes forever to get a non-pregnancy-related appointment. But if you are looking for an OB, they are amazing! read more

I went here for an ultrasound because of bleeding and worried I would have a miscarriage. The front desk and ultra sound went fine. The ultrasound tech said the doctor who was on call would call me. It had been over 24 hours and I have not received a call. At night when I got home I had a miscarriage. I am very unhappy with the Renton clinic and their communication. I would have like my ultrasound results. Also I would like to not be waiting and waiting and waiting through a difficult time. read more

My ob is Dr. Belskus. She's great! I've been with her with two pregnancies and she will remain my ob! Everyone is super nice and the phlebotomist is wonderful! I recommend her if you're thinking about this place. She always took the time with me to explain everything, answer any questions I may have and I could tell she really enjoyed her job and really cares! read more

Dr.Belskus is good. No issues with that. I scheduled annual check for my wife. Dr.Belskus was caring and asked if she had any other problems. My wife described her problems and she analysed it. The problem is that they don't tell you that they are going to charge you for talking about your existing problems with them. The bill turned out to be with two components. 1. Annual visit - fully covered by insurance 2. Some other charge for talking about your existing problems - I had to pay out of pocket Bottomline : They charged me for a thing that the appointment was for. I didn't see it coming. My advice is to be cautious and not do any extra talking. You could be charged for talking about your existing problem. At least they could tell the patient that they will charge for doing so. read more

This facility has the worst customer service of any doctor's office that I've been to. I've gone here the past 2 years...the first year it was super busy in the office and there was a rude customer, so when the receptionist was rude, I thought...OK, give her a break, she just got chewed out...the second year (in 2015) when I went back for my annual, I was required to fill out the entire packet of paperwork all over again, they stated they had a new system...does nothing transfer over? On top of that, the receptionist was rude yet again...guess it's a trend, and not a fluke. I only went back because the doctor was thorough, friendly, and made sure all my questions were answered. I just called to make my appointment for 2016, and after going round and round on what I needed to have done - I've decided to cancel my appointment and take my business elsewhere...they clearly are operating efficiently at this time in our lives when health care is consumer driven and options are endless as to where we can take our business, I'm sorry I refuse to go to the doctor twice, so you can bill me twice...when in reality, you could of completed all of the necessary things in one appointment. It's obvious that they are more into making money and racking up the health care industry more than necessary...and not really into how they can help their patients, quickly and efficiently. read more

I was here yesterday for my annual exam and pap smear, and to discuss birth control options. I enjoyed it far more than I ever expected I would, considering the appointment type. I had no problems with the front desk staff. She wasn't Ms. Congeniality, but she was polite and helpful. I saw Dr. Rice for my appointment - he is very nice, personable, spent more time with me than I was expecting, and really made sure I was comfortable and well-informed. Quick, gentle and considerate. I would highly suggest him to anyone looking for a new gynecologist! Oh BONUS: I got the Nexplanon implant, and had ZERO bruising or pain. This guy must be a magician. read more

I ended up being referred here by my regular doctor since my pregnancy was not normal. I have known a few people who went here when expecting and they could not say enough good things about the place and doctors. So I knew I would be in good hands. The building is kinda weird with the main entrance actually being in the back. But it is super easy to find with a good amount of parking. Big waiting room with magazines and lots of seating. And they do there own ultrasounds! When I called to make my appointment the receptionist was straight to the point, which is why I would think maybe others think not super nice or friendly. But once I came in for my appointment she was very friendly and helped me fill out all the paper works. Dr Tagavillia was amazing to work with! He was great at answering any questions and keeping in mind what my birth plan/needs were when the time came for delivery. I came here almost every week so I got to see/know most of the staff and never had a single problem with anyone being rude or unhelpful. I felt completely taken care of my whole pregnancy by the staff here! I would highly recommend them for your female doctor needs!! read more

I have been a patient here for 3 years. The doctors at Valley Women's clinic delivered my second child and I'm seeing them for my third pregnancy. I haven't experienced the rude staff. When I've called with a question, a request or to schedule an appointment they've always been happy to help. I've also loved all the nurses and I like my doctor. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Tagavella for years and absolutely love him. I will admit the staff is not overly friendly and seem a bit blah but I've never experienced downright rudeness. The gentle and informative care I have received from Dr. Tagavella is worth a few sour faces because it's because of him I've learned about some medical issues that even my primary physician missed. He is thorough in investigating complaints (doesn't discount the issue), issuing referrals to specialists and I am glad to have him on my medical team! read more

I came here for care for my first baby. The front staff is terrible and very very rude. It gets to me everytime. I don't know how you can work at the front desk servicing people and just be so mean. My doctor is very nice and so is the actual nursing staff. Well it has been quite a few years since I have been to this clinic and am just now writing a review just to let others know what my experience was. I had been a patient there for many years and in fact one of the OB/GYN's delivered my daughter. It was a few years after my daughter was born and I went in to talk to my doctor about birth control and other issues. It was my doctors nurse who was rude and tried to lecture me on my life style choices. Not at all what I would call appropriate or professional. I guess I didn't fit with her moral standards. My wife delivered a baby at VMC. Her TB doctor was the worse doctor ever. She only did two or three times ultrasound during her pregnancy. My wife asked her Dr. why. She responded that ultrasound is just for a fun. My wife went to emergency because the baby did not move. They did ultrasound and found that she did not have enough fluids. My wife begged them for C section but they ignored her request as fact she had complications before. She had a lot of bleeding. Valley Women's Clinic is the BEST! They have helped me through health complications and routine care for many years. The doctors are very experienced and compassionate. Valley Women's Clinic is one of the very best OBGYN clinics in King County. I love knowing that many of the staff have been there several years, which tells me the staff is treated well by their employer! I have seen a couple of the physicians and ARNP Barb Golay. All of them were most courteous, skilled and very caring! I find the previous review dated 2/20/15 very surprising and almost unbelievable, as Barb Golay is one of the most Kind, caring and intelligent providers I have ever encountered. wow...i'm glad i never read any reviews before coming here. i usually just get my annual when i have my physical, but i needed a procedure and i was referred to dr. rice by my pcp. i like him a lot - he answered all of my questions and was happy to let me be an active participant in my care, not just "i'm the doctor, you do what i say." i only found one front office person to be unfriendly - everyone else was nice. read more

I have had nothing but good experiences here. The front desk ladies as well as the people downstairs have been nothing but polite and pleasant to interact with. I have been coming here for about 3 months for my pregnancy, seeing Dr. Belskus and she is always so sweet, smiling and friendly. I am going to assume the reviews before me have been addressed, because I have I have not had the same experience. I have called a few times that required a call back, the lady on the phone was nice, and always received a call back within the hour. I have not had any calls for appointment reminders and that would be great, but I have dealt with other offices that didn't do it either. But that is not a deal breaker for me, I am an adult and I can keep track of my appointments. The nurses, medical assistants, doctors, phlebotomist and the lady doing the ultra sound are all very thoughtful and I would feel totally comfortable recommending this office for your lady needs! read more

My boyfriend and I went in to there office in the late afternoon with no appointment, just to get some information and it was a good time because it wasn't busy at all. Marcela was the receptionist that helped us and was very helpful. She was able to let us know that yes they accept all the different insurance options, even though we hadn't yet picked a particular provider yet. She also called a different doctor's office over at Valley Medical because we had heard good reviews from them and found out they are not accepting new patients, so instead we made the apt with them. I never got to meet the doctors before canceling because we've decided to go with the midwife option over at UW Medicine Valley Medical instead, that's why I only rated these guys 3 stars that was just based on the first appearance of front desk staff, wait time and friendliness was all great, but anything more than that I'm not sure of. read more

The worst clinic!! the receptionist was so rude to me, not helpful at all. i wanted to sign up for the clinic, and was tranfering from a another clinic and she said, "where are you coming from"? i told her the clinic's name and everything, and she goes "why are you telling me this whole story" even though she was so rude to me i was still nice to her.... for the past two weeks i've been waiting for their phone call and everytime i call they put me on hold for at least 30 minutes and when they come back, they say either to call them early in the morining or they'll give me a call! i hope these staff lose their jobs and because how their treating patients is not right. read more

I have been overcharged for six visits over the last two years. The staff who receives payments sends the incorrect information to the billing office. When I call the business office they REFUSE to reconcile their records (actual money received compared with amount stated on electronic receipts). Last year i received a refund. I decided to give them another chance this year because I love my health care provider. Not sure it's worth it!!!! read more

This clinic us the worst I have been to in my life. I have been there two times already and I knew the first time I went that I would not be happy here. I am 14 weeks pregnant and am trying to be a pleasant pregnant person but these people don't help. The first visit was a red flag when they could not find my chart (I'd came once before on an emergency basis to have an ultrasound and filled out all my new pt paper work then) The front desk girl asked me two or three times if I was sure I filled out the paper work and after about a half hour she found my chart. They finally call me back in the room and weigh me in the hall way where it was just a total traffic jam. Pt's and providers trying to walk by mean while I have no place to set my stuff so I had to put it on the floor. It just seemed to be a mess! A week or so after that visit I had to be rushed to the ER due to some excessive bleeding which at that time those Dr's told me I was at risk for a miscarriage. One of my discharge instructions was to follow up with my OB in three days. Well I call these folks and they tell me "just continue with the bed rest. We will just see you at your scheduled visit" which was not until 3 or 4 weeks later!!! How horrible is that. The day of my appt finally arrives and I wait for 40 minutes before I'm seen. Quit naturally I voice my compliant to the provider and she spends 80% of our visit trying to cover the office butt about there piss poor service, never once asked me how my pregnancy is going or if I even have any questions or concerns about my pregnancy. She just listened for a heart beat and sent me on my way. You know the place is trashy if they don't even have lids for the UA cups!!! I am very disappointed in this office and would not recommend it to anyone who has high standards for there prenatal care. That was my last visit at Valley Womens Clinic.
