In my opinion Valleyfair has gone down hill from just a few years ago. We went for my fiance's birthday and had fun because we haven't had a lot of time for some fun lately. We thought valleyfair would be great for a day away. We started the day out by going on the mad mouse ride. When I sat down the lady slammed my lap bar so hard and fast that it felt like someone had punched me right in the gut. It actually hurt. My fiance was really surprised and also was thrown off by her roughness. She looked at me like it was my fault and mumbled something in a different language. Ugh!!! After the gut punch we decided to get a drink at one of the drink stations. So many bees everywhere on the fountain. Seriously bees crawling in and out of the fountains where the soda comes out. As much money as Valleyfair brings in you would think they would have something in place for that. Maybe bee repellent or traps or have someone constantly cleaning the machines. Something anything to reduce the dangerous bee stings. The food isn't good. Way over priced for the quality of the food. We proceed to the water park and needed a locker to put our stuff in. You may need to take out a small loan to do so. 15.00 to rent a locker that only fits 1 backpack. Besides not being able to ride the Renegade due to some maintenance issues. The ride selection is good and are always a thrill. The midway games are always fun. We won a big donkey kong at the ring toss. My favorite game! The new dinosaur exhibit was fun and impressive. I don't think it should cost extra but worth it if you have the extra cash and time. If you have time you should check out the All Wheels Extreme show. That was impressive, fun and free. I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the recent change in policy for the Gold Season Pass. At the time of purchase, we were clearly informed that the Gold Season Pass included access to all attractions, including the Call Scare Haunted House and related events, without additional charges. This was one of the main reasons we chose to buy the pass. However, we were surprised and disappointed to learn that the policy has been changed at the last moment, and now the Haunted House is no longer included. This feels misleading and unfair to customers who purchased the pass in good faith, trusting the original terms and promises made at the time of sale. Such last-minute changes not only cause frustration but also create the impression that customers are being misled. We request you to either honor the original commitment made at the time of selling the passes or provide appropriate compensation/refund for the inconvenience caused. We hope you will take immediate corrective action to restore customer trust and ensure fair treatment of your loyal visitors. read more

This is probably the best dog I have ever shouted at before this month. I was also eating some pizza from the garbage and I had food poisoning for a long time. I also went on a water ride, and I unknowingly got wet. I am very disappointed because I ruined my dollar store socks. Money is very low for me right now so now I have no socks. Then after I had no socks, I was riding the wild thing and I stuck up my ring finger for the picture because it looked sexy. And you won't believe what they did. They blurred it out! Another traumatic experience was when I was entering the park and they told me my season pass was broken! I was very suprised to go to the next check in and it worked fine. After I get in, some one asked me to take my picture. I was like excuse me? They were being so rude! read more

This place is not worth all the money you pay to get in. Then, once you do get in, the food and drinks cost so much you'll have to sell one of your children just to get a cheeseburger, fries and pop. And think again if you plan to take food or drinks in with you. They have these rent-a-cop teenagers who watch for anyone with unauthorized food or drinks. One of them approached me while I was taking a drink from my own water bottle and demanded I let him smell what's in my bottle. Imagine letting some pimply teenager stick his beak in your water bottle! If my kids wouldn't have been there I would have told him to shove it up his @$$ and rotate it. So then we all waited in line for another hour for another mediocre ride and left--never to return. Keep your money! read more

They wasted 3 hours of my time evicting me, when my both parents are in Africa. I had no ride and they did not allow me to leave with my friends like I was supposed to. They wasted my time and my money when I proved I was Innocent. Once i got off the wildthing they had already claimed I had fought. Your security guard also grabbed me in a harsh and violent. Please take action and allow back into your park. Or else the whole world will hear my story. Your security acted in a unjust way. They displayed no integrity. As costumers, I think we deserve that at least. read more

I love this place! After dragging my kids to various places around the mid-west, where we end up visiting THEIR amusement parks and museums and water parks, it's nice to be able to do everything, right in my own backyard. They have really cleaned up Valley Fair and turned it into a reputable theme park. (It used to feel like a carnival to me...) No, it's not Disney world, but let's face it, for the price, you can't beat it! We can get an entire day's worth of entertainment at a fraction of the cost that it would take us in Florida, or even the Dells! They've also improved the food offerings. It doesn't just feel like a bunch of state fair crap. I don't think I'm ready for the season pass, but we'll take a staycation there any day! read more

security sucks here. i went with my girlfriend on a date, and someone accused us of causing a scene. my girlfriend has severe anxiety so it took a lot for her to come here and i wanted her to come as a way to help her heal, since her anxiety was caused by a traumatic event. we were escorted out because of this accusation, alongside another that was also false about my girl acting suspicious. she was in distress while they acted as if they had a power trip and enjoyed escorting us out. the accusations of us being loud and my girlfriend being suspicious (she has scars due to self harm) is discriminatory. perhaps maybe it was because we are colored, but i doubt it may be that (i hope). never coming here again! read more

Valleyfair is awesome. I hadn't been there since high school, and boy, things have changed (and I'm only 23). It costs way, way too much to get in here, but if you are a member at CostCo (or your parents are) you can buy tickets for $27.99 there. You can also get discount tickets if you go to the U (at Coffman). I would really recommend going on a weekday, if you can swing it. Weekends are out of control busy, but we went on a Thursday and there were not more than 5 minute lines for anything. My other suggestion is to pack a picnic lunch in a cooler in your car, and exit the park to go eat in the picnic area. Save a ton. read more

Nice to go on the days when there are short lines, otherwise the wait can make it not worth it. Haven't paid the extra money for a "Fast Pass" that lets you skip the lines, it may be worth it. Food is way too expensive, so bring your own and have a picnic in the parking lot. Rides are pretty good, they could use a few more thrill rides, the Wild Thing is great but is starting to get dated. Steel Venom is a thrill but short ride. Renegade is totally worth the wait in line. Extreme Swing always seems to be shut down but it's great when it's open. read more

Took my family and my 5 kids today. Waited one hour for the wild thing. Most of the popular attraction rides were up to 45-1 hour wait time if you didn't purchased the fast pass. Buy the fast pass if you come or expect to just a ride a few rides all day. Even one hour wait to go on a water slide. My kids enjoyed the wave pool. The snoopy kid rides were fast. It's sad to see the changes at ValleyFair. Hopefully it can return back to normal some day. Expensive day to only ride a few popular attractions. read more

My husband and I will be riding those roller coasters until we're old and decrepit. We'll be getting sideways looks from the half-naked teenage girls that crawl all over that place, but I don't care. Getting super expensive and a horrible rip off (for instance, you buy a reusable cup and you can't use it the next year. We have about 8 at out house at this point). Needs more gluten free options. I'm sick of smuggling my own food into the place. read more

Yes the rides are fun, but watch out for the people that work there. I saw this creepy older guy in his 50's, he looked like a guy who worked on the rides and his name tag said Steve. He was hitting on young girls, and making rude, suggestive - inapropriate comments to them. What a freak! This guy would have been fired in a professional work environment. read more

Place sucks! Same old attractions nothing new. Over zealous security trying to find something to do, so boy do they get mouthy and aggressive from the bat! Have better training for people that are there to make you feel safer! Not little boys that think they are hot shit because they get to walk around with a bottle of pepper spray! Replacing the beautiful tree filled picnic area with a fake dinosaurs display that even my dinosaur obsessed 6 year old boy found boring was a terrible mistake. As long as eating a picnic lunch at Valleyfair means huddling under the shade of a tree in the parking lot with four other families, we will not be returning! read more

I love this place! Every summer I go at least a couple times. Why bother with those more well known theme parks when you can avoid the lines and stay close to home! Even the older rides still hold up (hello, Corkscrew?). You'll be pleasantly surprized by the Regegade, but def don't miss out on the Wildthing. read more
