It had been a long time since I had any piercings done and it was great to walk into a clean and welcoming shop. I was first helped out with choosing the jewelry which was so great because I was really open to a lot of ideas and the employee helped me narrow down what would look nice together. Evan did my piercing and was so gentle and thoughtful with the entire process. He described what he would be doing and gave me a heads up at each step. He checked in with me frequently and made me feel very safe and calm. Evan was very clear about aftercare as well. I will definitely be going back for any future piercing needs!

It's been almost 2 weeks since I got my tattoo done by Brian. I had given him an ink print of my…read moredogs paw print in advance. (I even have multiple really great ones and offered to send them all but he said he could work with the one I gave him). I also showed him a few pictures of how I wanted it to look; very detailed (not filled in/shaded) he said he could do it so I came back in a week and got it done. Again, I showed him other tattoos I had found online of how I wanted the print to look (dot work) and showed him one that I DIDNT want it to look like (which he grimaced at and said nah that looks like a stamp I won't do it like that). Well not only does it looks like the style I didn't want, it doesn't look like my dogs paw print at all. There is way too much shading where it shouldn't be (my dog did not have that much fur between his digits) and it makes the whole thing look messy. The individual small pads are shaped incorrectly and the largest pad is just completely wrong (shape and detail wise). The loss of my dog has hit me harder than anything I've ever had to go through - especially working in vet medicine and not being able to save his life - and I felt like Brian didn't take that seriously with how poorly my tattoo came out. If he couldn't have done detailed dot work he should've told me and I gladly would have gone somewhere else. Even if I didn't get the highly detailed dot work like I wanted, I would've been content with it looking like my dogs paw but it does not. I will be getting it removed and going to someone who will listen to my concerns and understand that this is more than a tattoo to me. I also would like to note at one point Brian said, while tattooing me, that he forgets sometimes there is a human being that he's working on. This would have been my cue to leave, had my tattoo not already been close to finishing. TLDR Im beyond upset about my tattoo and will not be coming back ever.

Brian was hilarious and any time I showed signs of pain, he was quick to make me laugh to keep my mind busy. I laughed the entire hour and a half I was there. Apparently they are only nice if you don't voice your opinion. Unfortunately you don't get to control what people think of your service which is why it was a 3 star review because I really did think they were nice. We can both be wrong though. Such is life. I really would've liked to give a higher rating. While people here were nice, and the service was fine, unfortunately the piercing was extremely poorly placed. It sat so crookedly in my lip it was rubbing on that piece of skin that connects from the gums between your top front teeth and the lips, and it was excruciatingly painful. It remained extremely sensitive and painful for a month and a half after the piercing because moving my top lip would irritate the piercing. The original mark made for the position was fine but the actual piercing was slightly off to one side. It wasn't cheap to get the piercing and ultimately I took it out because it was so difficult to manage it. There was no infection and I kept it clean which was also excruciating to do because of how far up on the inside of my lip the back of the piercing came out. When it's fully healed I'm not going to have it done here again.

It's a one man studio so there isn't the typical drama of other places and Bud is very reliable. He's done at least 50 hours on my husband and I and we don't go anywhere else. He's usually booked out a ways so you can't usually do walk ins, but he's worth the wait! I've noticed over the years that the vast majority of his work is done by word of mouth, scheduled in advance, because he is so booked and not usually available on a whim.
